My family had come in from Calif. and I was excited to take them to this really cool restaurant! Boy was I Wrong and embarrassed! The service was sooo bad and the waiter seemed irritated that we were asking questions. They were out of prime rib and it was just 7:00pm...the dinner hour, which means whomever is doing the ordering is not doing a great job of it. My husband ordered a beer and it took forever; they even brought a second one not realizing the first and been brought and drank and the waiter never even knew it...thats how long it took. My sister in-law ordered her turkey burger no onion or mayo he just wrote plain and her burger came with meat and bun only. No lettus, tomato, mustard...nothing. Then we had to flag someone down because our waiter never came back to check on us. They also tacked an 18% gratuity on our check because there was six of us and we would never have tipped that much for such lousy service. I went to the manager, Jill, and she was rude and condescending! I told her about the terrible service and that we all came for the prime rib and they were out so early....her response was "on demand" with a smirk. When I told her I wanted the owners number she handed me a paper, later i realized she had given me the restaurants number. The manager was absolutely terrible and rude. I told her I thought her attitude was bad and she told me mine was. I told it absolutely was! After the service we received and her reaction to my frustration.... I felt my attitude was justifiable. Be careful... great decor and food...terrible customer service all the way around.

If I could give this review a 2.5 I would. My wife and I went to Chop for date night, and frankly, we couldve had the exact same meal at our neighborhood Applebees (and we havent been to an Applebees in over 20 years). I will say the cocktails were very good (strawberry jojito and Lynchburg lemonade). The calamari appetizer was extremely chewy and rubbery. The bacon on the wedge salad tasted burnt. We asked for bread, and the server literally brought us ONE slice of dry, prepackaged bread cut in half! As far as the entrees, the Maui ribeye steak was mediocre at best. I asked for horseradish sauce on the side, which tasted like it came out of the bottle. The ribs were a bit skinny, but the sauce was good. The macaroni and cheese was gritty and lacked flavor. probably because the chef overcooked the bechamel sauce. I will say the service was very good, but I honestly feel like we paid $100 for a meal worth no more than $50. Given the number of customers (we went on a Saturday night), Chop has the potential to be more like a Scottsdale restaurant if they step their game up a few notches. If they are going to charge, Scottsdale prices, then they need to offer a similar product (i.e., dont serve food in dishes lined with paper!).

Food: Trout was burnt, unsalted and unflavored. The first time we had it, it was delicious. This time it was poor. For a $30 entree, I expected better. Service: Quite good. Fast and efficient, not very conversational but courteous and quick. Atmosphere: Extremely noisy at the bar. Only some tables are sectioned off from the noise. Ours was directly next to the bar. Some tables had white tablecloths. Ours did not. My girlfriend and I went for a romantic anniversary dinner but that is not what we experienced. It is like a sports bar, the game was on, dudes in flip flops and shorts walking around and cursing loudly, not a classy restaurant at all. This was on a Friday night. I recommend not going on Friday or Saturday unless you want a bar vibe. Since we rarely go out to eat and were primarily looking for the atmosphere and experience overall, we will not go back again.

This was my first time at the restaurant. The host was too young and didnt know much but we were able to find an open table by the bar. Menu has a wide selection of different types of food, just not much on the menu. My wife and I chose the sirloin. The portios were ridiculously small especially for the large price. Our dinner could have been served on a tea saucer. The food was great and we did enjoy it. I can honestly say I felt like the portions were appetizer size. At the end of my meal I was looking to see if my wife was going to eat all of hers unfortunately she did. Overall they are doing good. Portions and price are my major issues.

Pretty decent menu, some prices seem a bit high but the selection is good. Not many places carry a baseball cut on a regular menu, and at $22 I couldnt pass up my favorite cut of meat. Great wine selection, iffy beer selection. Service was solid, but a bit discombobulated as we were asked if we wanted new drinks three times in about 5 minutes. May have been a shift change or trainee though, as everything else was good. My only real complaint was the texas toast they serve does not realy go with the "honey butter" they serve alongside it. Overall, its nice to have a new steak joint in town that offer some quality cuts!

I had a Groupon for Chop and decided to try it out for dinner. Its a nice, upscale place with a very relaxing and romantic feel on the inside. Its dimly lit and theres candles on every table, which really adds to the ambiance. I loved their red wine blend special of the day, which was called Madness and Cures. Their burgers are good, but unfortunately they dont come with sides. However, the sides are big enough for two people. Overall, I had a good experience here.

We bought a groupon and thought we would give this place a try. Sadly it was the one and only time we will go and luckily we didnt really pay the full amount thanks to the groupon. The only good thing about this place was the waitress Jessica. She was great! Our table was broken and you couldnt put anything on it or the item would slide down. We did let Jessica know and I believe it slipped her mind as nothing was done and they didnt offer to move us.

The customer service is good; The atmosphere is great; The food is overpriced. The reason for the one star is because my car was hit by a ChoP employee in the parking lot while I was leaving the restaurant (she had no car insurance). My casual evening is going to cost me over $1000. When I contacted management at the CHoP they did nothing to help the situation... My wallet got Chopped in half!

Absolutely the best steak dinner I have had in a very long time. Beats all of the others I have tried...Donovans, Durantes, Ruth Chris all left me disappointed not so Chop of Chandler. Steak was done perfectly and my sides were delicious. My waiter was attentive without hovering and made my "surprise dessert " a wonderful treat. Highly recommend Chop for a wonderful dinning experience.

Had a small plate at the Boys and Girls Club fundraiser. The Braised Beef was TO DIE FOR! It was so juicy and the flavor was melt-in-your-mouth! The chef was super personable and you could tell he was passionate about food and where he worked. It says a lot about the organization to have that type of passion! We will be eating here (again) for sure!
