Ive been here on multiple occasions and very much enjoyed the Ramen every time. However the last visit here was not an enjoyable experience. Myself, my fiancé, and my one year old were seated and asked immediately what we would like to drink to which we responded a Sprite and Dr. Pepper. When the waitress brought the drinks we asked if our son was able to get a smaller porton of their teriyaki chicken. She said yes he can have teriyaki chicken but no he may not have a smaller portion. So we decided it would be better to go to a restaurant that was able to accommodate our son as well and told the waitress thank you but weve decided on another place, she said ok and we left. While I was buckling my son in his car seat the owner stormed outside and asked us why were leaving. Upon telling him our reason he proceeded to tell us we were being ridiculous and that no restaurant will give smaller portions and that we also still owed him for our sodas that we had not touched. He continued to yell at us in the parking lot for at least another 5 mins before storming off. Im appalled that they would treat anyone like this for simply deciding on another option. He made a huge scene in front of my son over a couple of drinks and the whole thing shouldve been handled a lot more maturely. We will not be returning here ever again.

Was chased into the parking lot by the owner. They didnt offer a kids menu, or smaller portions for our 1 year old, so we decided to go elsewhere. No big deal, we didnt complain or cause a scene. Unfortunately, the owner thought that It was completely unacceptable and unreasonable that the drinks that we didnt even touch werent paid for. He was so upset that he was about to lose out on 25 cents, that he had to hunt us down in the parking lot and demand that it be paid. Congratulations, not only did you not make your 25 cents, but you caused a scene in front of everyone in the parking lot, lost 2 frequenting customers and made yourself look like a fool.

DOZO means "you first" or "after you", a Japanese casual restaurant and an izakaya which is for after work food and drink. They have varieties of Japanese dishes including soup, salad, rice, deep fried or grilled items and special noodle or noodle combination dishes which are very popular. They have all kinds of drinks for happy hours including their own specialties and selections of wine, beer and cocktail. Desert is limited to a few. The restaurant is located at a large open space area with indoor and outdoor sitting arrangements. The service is great and the service providers are kind and attentive.

DO NOT ORDER TAKEOUT RAMEN! Not going to lie, its nothing to write home about in the first place, but my main issue is that for takeout they just dumped the noodles and broth in the same tub... all other ramen places separate the noodles and broth for takeout so that the ramen noodles dont get soggy and over cook on the ride home. By the time I got home and could eat this the noodles were gooey and gross. The mediocre flavor wouldent have warented the bad review (though not a good one either), but the noodle texture was so gross. Maybe its edible when fresh, but dont waste your time on takeout.

This is my favorite hidden gem in the area! You cant find more skillfully prepared authentic Japanese food anywhere nearby that comes close. The service is excellent, the sushi chef will even stop what he is doing to welcome guests if the host/server is busy. The interior is unassuming with hints of Japanese flair. Some of my favorite dishes are the wakame salad, miso marinated pork belly, gyoza, spicy ramen, and yam avocado rolls. Stop in for happy hour for killer deals on sushi rolls, appetizers, and beer. You are even given a traditional farewell "Arigato!" as you make your exit.

A group of us arrived before the restaurant opened because we werent aware they closed several hours mid day. So we waited and came back as soon as they opened. The restaurant was still empty. We were refused a table inside even though there was more than plenty of room for us. The day wasnt too warm and we had a baby with us so we asked if we could sit inside. Our only option was outside if we wanted to eat there. We were told they needed to keep open tables for their "regular" customers, who hadnt arrived. Never visiting this place again.

Initially I was a big fan of this place. Now, not so much. Food is decent, but the amount that you get is not worth the price. Im Japanese who lived there for many years. They tried to convince me its the right portion (izakaya food)....and even for Japanese portion, it was small. We also reserved a table but they reconfigured and rerouted us to a smaller table when they saw that we had kids...I guess to save the big table for better clients. It was very obvious that the original table was for us. Not very customer oriented place.

Seems to always have a half dozen Japanese peopleeating lunch here. Thats a good sign right? I have to be up front and say I am not Asian and have never been to Japan. But I have received several insights that lets me know when I am eating something authentic. One such thing is ramen is nearly always to be served with kamaboko. This place hits the spot for me. Nice ambiance, pleasant service, delicous tastes. Reasonably priced.

This place serves some delicious and great food! However lately I have been getting some stomach aches after eating there. I have been avoiding dozo for over a month now and been fine. Its really disappointing because their food is usually great. Due to the recent stomach issues I am hesitant to go back. The food could still be great, but just be cautious.

The food is phenomenal everytime I go to eat there, however the service is terrible as well. The workers have no idea how to efficiently seat their customers and even lied to us that a booth was reserved when no one arrived for an hour and it was almost closing time. It quite very disappointing and I only go there for the food.

Its soooooooooo delicious!! They have a great selection, very reasonable-- dare I say great-- prices, and super friendly service. The witness was polite and patient, and I felt very welcome. The food was fresh and came within a good timeframe. I will be back with family!

Great small spot for good food. Decent amount of vegetarian options including Maki rolls, Udon noodles and rice bowls. Try the tempura yam and avocado roll, it is great! They also serve sake but have a limited selection if you are looking for that.

The dinner is always pretty good but they pay very little attention to the food during lunch. Had a terrible piece of tuna - tasted very old. My hamachi also tasted old. The first one I had to send back because there was a piece of hair on it.

I dont know a lot about Japanese food and the staff is very helpful in explaining the menu. The food itself has always been very good (Ive gone four times). Try the breaded pork cutlet with curry sauce, incredible.
