I had been really looking forward to trying this place. Went in a Friday night with a group of 3 us. Ordered tempura shrimp and vegetables and potstickers for appetizers. No complaints about the potstickers. The tempura portion was small especially for the price. We got 5 rolls lobster roll, the trio, NNY, silver Lake and candy. With the prices of rolls here I was expecting the level to be somewhere around Tonas, didnt even match what I have been served at all you can eat joints. The lobster roll was bland, no flavor of lobster from it. The silver lake the only taste you got was the Wasabi mayo and eel sauce it was nearly swimming it in. The trio was probably the most disappointing roll for our group, the roll flavor was good but was concerning do to the roll temperature was sitting right around room temperature. With having 3 raw fish on it it just made it very unappealing and concerning to us. The NNY wasnt bad I really enjoyed the torched tuna but once again really no other flavors coming from that roll other than the tuna. Candy was good enough but nothing to write home about. With spending nearly $100 on the meal we really were expecting more.

Got upset by the Baked Salmon stuffed with "Alaskan Crab" under sushi tapas. It was imitation crab and not Alaskan Crab at all, and trust me I know my seafood cause I have been handling them as a chef for 10 years in Los Angeles and I always shy away from anything imitation. I know theres not a lot of diners that know their food in Utah, but It sucks to run a restaurant and lie about some ingredients in the menu. Its a let down for sure. A lot of the hot entrees such as don buris, ramen, curry and karage have very Korean flavors as well instead of Japanese.

The restaurant itself is nicely remodeled. The sushi was good. They had some great options for rolls, including some Ive never had. The only real complaint I have was listening to the employees talk about things I didnt want to hear. I arrived early before my party, and they seated me close to the sushi bar and I couldnt help but hear what they were saying. Overall, prompt service.

The restaurant looked nice and the staff was friendly. It was understaffed and very busy so service took a long time. We got poke bowls and some ramen. Definitely had better ramen but it wasnt the worst weve had. The poke bowls werent bad (for utah).

Great service and even better food. This place is now my local go to at least twice a week. I reccomend the Ramen and the Tornado roll. So much good food it is difficult to list.

Finally a first class Sushi house outside of SLC. Every bit as good or even better than Tsunami, Ichiban, and Happy Sumo. Super fast food and service.
