Yesterday while asking a hostess for a table, a rude man cut me off and jumped in front of me. I kindly say "excuse me sir, we are being helped." When he doesnt respond I say again "excuse me?" He looks at me and says "I have this problem, when stupid people speak I dont hear them..." He then proceeded to yell at me about my "fake hair" because god forbid I have roots right now ( getting my hair done Tuesday by the way) he then proceeds to scream in my face and swear at me...I stand up for myself as other customers looked on in horror. He continues swearing and screaming in my face. Is this the restaurants fault? Certainly NOT. The way the manager handled it however is. This man should have been asked to leave after verbally assaulting me. Instead, he was given a table and I was told nothing could be done because the fight was "mutual." MUTUAL??? Are you joking? Ask any of the people who witnessed it what they thought. Other customers ran up to me to make sure I was okay. This manager defended a verbally abusive man but I guess that should be expected in Scottsdale. So I was supposed to allow someone to scream in my face while saying NOTHING!? Dear manager, do you have no woman in your life that you care about? A mother, wife, daughter, sister etc? What would you say to them in this situation? I once was a weekly visitor for their great happy hour. I will now continue to tell everyone to avoid this place. Several of my friends are now boycotting it. I have contacted Sam Fox and so far no response. P.S. After ALL this they mess up my order.....I specifically tell them no meat on my pizza since I am a vegetarian...yet I am served a pizza full off pepperoni. Glasses of water sat empty for 30 minutes and service was terrible.

We usually eat at Zinc Bistro but thought we would try North. We were very disapointed in the special that evening at $27.00. The Uno fish was way overcooked and was unnaccpetable. We could not even cut the fish on the end. We brought it to the waiters attention and he shrugged it off like he did not need the business. He did offer to re-cook the entree for both of us but who want to re-order an entree when you have been sitting for 50 minuites. No one acknowledged the poor entree. They brought desert menus and offered nothing, I eat out a lot and you would be much better off dining at Zinc Bistro next door for the same price. We will never dine there agian and neither will any of our friends. We ate at Roys last night and North could take a few lessons in customer service and cooking.

Great food and service! Our server was attentive and helpful b/c this was our first time to this restaurant. We got the zucca chips and the white truffle garlic bread to start, both were amazing! Then we shared the chicken pesto which was also fantastic. We were both filled by the end of the night and our bill was under $50 oh and i had a beer. I definitley recommend trying this place if you are shopping around kierland commons and want something yummy!

The food was good. I went as a third wheel this past Thursday with my brother and sister in law. I must say that the waitress waiting on us was wearing a very revealing top, I felt like her nipples were about the pop out at any moment. She was a blonde older waitress, but nonetheless her top was barely covering anything. I had to look away every time she came to our table. I could tell my sister in law was also uncomfortable.

The place was really nice and great food, but Im definitely not coming back here again because a manager was cursing and screaming at his employees by where I was sitting!! I had my two grandkids with me and having them hear that was awful! It was some bald guy with glasses. Im not sure what his position was there entitled. But it totally ruined my night. I cant believe other managers allow him to talk like that. very disguised!!

North Italia is an excellent place for some of the yummiest pasta you will ever eat. You can get wild and get the Squid Ink which is seafood in noodles that have been dyed with squid ink. Or you can get regular bolognese, which will beat any bolognese you have ever had. This is my wife and my favorite Fox Restaurant and when we couldnt get a table in the Arcadia location drove the extra miles to Scottsdale!

I was looking forward to the amazing fresh pasta Bolognese... and wasnt disappointed. The service is hit and miss, and this was a miss. Took long time to get drinks, then refills, or any attention at all and there were empty tables the place wasnt packed. I can understand when its extremely busy, but they were not. Again, the food was amazing. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.

My wife and I had a great time here. We did an early dinner and had drinks and the margarita pizza off the happy hour menu, and the seasonal salad (butternut squash, kale, pine nuts, roasted Brussels sprouts) from the dinner menu. We finished with an olive oil cake. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was great (industrial-rustic Italian kitchen), and service was spot on.

I was pleasantly surprised to see this is now located at Kierland. After a day of shopping nothing sounded better than some Italian food. I had hear about the location in Arcadia but had never dined. The layout is great-- it is an open floorplan and kitchen. The place feels very clean and welcoming. The food was delicious. Especially enjoyed the garlic bread!

An absolute dissapointment. The food was bland and visually unappealing. On top of that the wait staff kept asking if everything was "perfect," when it was one of the worst meals I have had lately. I have been to North once before for lunch so I assumed the Valentines Day menu would be a nice treat. I could not have been more wrong. Ill never go back.

Completely clueless server, our group had to trackdown our server to place our order, get more refills and new cocktails and then to pay. Food was lukewarm but took so long to get, we werent going to send it back and wait another hour. Get it together Fox, your other establishments are well run but this one needs some work.

Double date night here a couple weeks ago on a Sunday night! Pretty atmosphere, decent service and delicious wine. The food was excellent, meat was cooked correctly as well. This place is classy and the dessert is VERY necessary. And Im not a dessert person. The espresso a la mode is a must!

Great pizza and great date night during the evening when its cool out. Grilled artichoke is one of my favorite appetizers to start with. The pasta dishes are filling, I find they can be a bit much with the sauce so I usually ask for light sauce. The chicken in the pasta dishes is excellent.

Good bar drinks. 11-27-2010 Blond hostess confused my name with someone elses and sat them first, dropping my name (party of 6) from the waiting list. We sat and waited until I asked the blond what was going on - clueless. Does anyone train these employees, or screen them?
