Expensive. Sub-standard sushi. Not good. Chewy and bland tasting. We (2 people) went there on happy hour thinking we would get a good deal. 3 rolls and 2 seaweed salads, all on the happy hour menu. Cost us $33! Super small portions too! What the heck? I can get 2 full meals of top notch flavor with 2 leftover meals for that price. Pf changs is right down the street, and while their lunch portions are not a good value, their dinner portions are, and the flavor is much better than RA Sushi. We barely got enough food to get our appetite going. We would have to spend nearly $50 on happy hour prices just to get full. That means almost $80 at normal prices! Seriously, not a good value. If it was world class sushi, then it would be worth it. But we got less than 1oz worth of standard grocery store fish in our rolls, and 2 pieces of bland shrimp. It was mostly imitation crab, seaweed and rice. What a rip off. We will not be coming back here ever again. This kind of restaurant is for the young 20s and 30s crowd who go here with their friends because its "cool" and pay for their meal on a credit card, and end up paying it off over the next few years (with interest). Likewise, the people giving this 4 and 5 star reviews obviously dont know how to cook excellent tasting food, so to them it probably is "amazing". But if you know how to cook, and understand seasoning, food texture, and food pairing, youll be disappointed in RA Sushi. No financial savvy person who understands flavor would continue coming here. Constructive feedback for the management: Lower your prices, increase your portion size, and upgrade the recipes.

I placed 2 separate orders to go and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes. 20 minutes later I arrive to pick up the order and its not ready. When my order is ready and shown to me what is packaged, all the sushi rolls I ordered on separate tickets are placed in one container with no labels of what each roll is named or what order# it belongs to. When I address this issue, the front assistant says, "oh did you want it packaged separately?" Why the heck do you think I placed two orders? I asked for a marker so I could label the rolls and she starts labeling every item in the bag. All the rolls had a sauce that was placed in separate containers rather than on the sushi as it would be presented if you were dining there. I asked for extra wasabi, only one scoop of wasabi was given for four dishes and I was short a chopstick. I didnt care for the to go service and when I followed up with the individuals who ordered they said, "it was okay." The edamame order did not have any salt on it and both orderers said their sushi rolls were okay; it tasted better when theyve eaten there. We all agreed that we will not order to go from there again.

went there with my coworkers for dinner. we spent like $300 on a dinner for 4 and left to grab some drinks somewhere else. But then their reverse happy hour looked too tempting that we decided to come back for the cheap drinks. I walked up to the bartender to show her my ID. I had a VA learners permit (since really who needs to drive in DC lol). They refused to serve me alcohol since its not a drivers license and called that inappropriate form of government issued ID. Then the manager pulled out like a book with updated drivers licenses for all 50 states and mine looked exactly like the one in his book, except that mine is not a DRIVERS LICENSE. One of his employees was just serving me drinks half an hour before and the front bar wouldnt serve me. This is totally stupid. I fly every week and this ID gets me through all kind of boarding and airport security, but wont serve as a legal document in a bar. If you cant tell which kind of ID is a government issued ID maybe you IQ is not high enough to work as a manager. so F*** this place

I am extremely disappointed with the service at this location, it has been numerous occasions that I have placed a to go order and have showed up to pick up my order and have had to wait over 20min for my food. The expectation is set that the order will be ready in 10-15 and I end up receiving my food 30-40 min later. The bigger picture here is that my time was not respected, to go orders are intended to be convenient for those in a hurry or on the go, if I wanted to wait 40min for my food I would dine in. To top it off, I called a manager months prior for a different issue regarding a incorrect order containing food that I am allergic to that I specifically asked to remove, I was told there would be a gift card sent to me for my poor experience and that was never received. This location needs some retraining and reeducation on costumer service, they can learn a thing of too from the Ahwatukee location.

As a chef, I expect to be disappointed often and this was not the case. The hostess was on her game, the wait staff was attentive and knowledgeable. We started with the RAkin Shrimp appetizer which was a delicious and unusual way to fry shrimp with a creamy sauce so good we poured it over the green underneath and ate it as a salad. I had the teriyaki salmon bento box and the salmon was cooked to perfection with just a hint of pink, moist and not over-sauced. The veg was tender yet had texture, the white sushi rice was also perfectly cooked and so tasty it needed no seasoning. My husband had the Rainbow roll which was also very good and lovely to look at. We had drinks and this meal for right at $50!! What a find!! Chef Jill

My boyfriend and I come to this location at least 3 times a month. The place is kept very clean and staff is friendly. Our first experience there was amazing our waiter was very professional and attentive. I see a lot of bad reviews of people about pricing but I dont understand why. We dine out a lot so we have gone to many sushi restaurants and the price is about the same. This is by far one of my favorite places. Food is always fresh and tastes great. Our favorites are the Chilli Shrimp rolls, Shrimp tempura roll, and the calamari tempura. I definitely recommend this place to my friends and family all the time. Just by thinking about it we might just stop by today for dinner!
