I had high hopes about this place because I love the decor and log cabin feel. I have been there once before on the patio and had an iffy experience, but the food seemed ok, so thought I would try it again. My sister and I went for dinner last Saturday night about 830, stood at the door for about 5 minutes, no one at the host stand. We then asked the bartender if we could just seat ourselves. She was pretty rude and said no, go back to the hostess stand and shell seat you. We went back and stood for another 3 minutes before a waitress came and asked us if we had been helped, she seated us - Im not sure a host/ess exists, I never saw on. We sat in a booth across from the bar, our waitress took our drink order, brought the beverages and took our food order. After she left the table we realized the drink order she brought was wrong. We tried to get her attention, in fact several servers/staff walked by us and we couldnt get anyones attention. Finally a busser/food runner brought our food, we asked him if he could get our waitress, she was standing at the register 8 ft away with her back to us for at least 10 minutes. He went and told her, she blew him off. After 6 more minutes, I went up to her and let her know we had a wrong drink order and needed some service as soon as she had a chance. She just said ok and continued doing whatever she was doing for a solid 15 minutes. A couple minutes later the food runner guy came by again and apologized for the neglectful waitress and helped us get correct drinks and some condiments. Finally after we had everything we needed, at least 20 minutes later, our waitress came by to see what we needed...ha, really? Food: My sister ordered wings, which were delicious. I ordered a French dip, which was awful...not fresh, barely warm, the beef was tough and chewy and the fries were not crispy or warm. Very disappointing. The other adult customers seated in the booth next to us, with a different waitress were ignored as well. Staff seemed really young, unprofessional and uninterested in "service"...except the awesome food runner dude who took care of us. We made sure to go find him on the patio, tip and thank him before leaving. He said he works behind the bar on Tuesdays and to come back then and hell be sure to take care of us. I cant imagine I will ever go back...bummer, I like giving good reviews and supporting local Tempe businesses

I came in for lunch today with a group of 10+ co-workers and easily had one of the worst experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. The service was insanely slow.. it took 25 mins to order and almost 50 minutes before food arrived. I ordered the "lunch special" $10.99 burger and beer that somehow costed $19. They refused to correct it and honor their special due to the way the waitress entered it into the computer. Even worse, they messed up my order and did not come back till it was time to bring the check to us. I would not come back here even if the food was free.

Went there on my lunch break. When entering there was only one table seated ahead of myself and my coworker, in fact, the restaurant had just opened so it was pretty dead in there. The irony is that even though myself and my coworker only ordered hamburgers it took 40 minutes to get our meal. We watched tables who came in after us receive their food well before us. After questioning the waitress she stated is because we ordered French fries! What?????? So French fries take 40 minutes to prepare. Once the food finally arrived it was mediocre at best.

The Lodge is a chill place to grab a drink and food with friends. The selection of beer on tap is pretty good (and quite reasonably price). Its hard to beat a house beer for $3/glass... even if it is Coors Banquet. The food is a bit more expensive than your standard dive fare, but its also much better. I decided to order the Sasquatch, which is a burger between 2 huge grilled cheese sandwiches. I wrestled with this monster of a burger for a bit... but eventually I bested the beast.

Wow, sat there for 15 minutes at a table near the bar while two servers completely ignored me. I guess I should have been more observant that the whole place only had 12 patrons. I love Tempe and all of their restaurants, but avoid this place... Ps, if you look closely at the ratings, it looks like a lot of ghost postings.. Again, lesson learned, I left and went to a real restaurant four peaks... Sorry to be an inconvenience to your restaurant and staff

Ive seen some mixed reviews for this place. I dont get it. Ive been here twice and have thoroughly enjoyed both visits. My food was very hearty and of excellent freshness and taste. The attentive staff is very friendly and didnt mind me having lunch, then soaking up a little A/C while I read and waited for my next class to start. If youre hungry, go for the taco salad bowl! So good!

I was really excited for this new option in the Farmers Arts District. We went the second week after they opened and found the service to be very disorganized and the quality of food disappointing. Im hoping things will improve with time, but the food was very unsatisfying. Given that Culinary Dropout is across the street with far better food, Id recommend giving this place a pass.

With over a half dozen people on the staff and three people at the bar and only two of them opening tabs with a card to hold they lost one of the cards, and instead of apologizing for their mistake and even trying to find the card they brushed it off and ignored us. I will not be back here, and cant in my right mind recommend it to anyone reading this.

One star is generous. After asking for a manager, the manager (who was rude and didnt feel that the NUMEROUS issues we had were his concern) started talking crap about me to the table next to us. He then proceeded to not take responsibility and make excuses. Our waitress never returned to our table and made others finish the job.

Perhaps today was an "off" day but, based on my visit, I wont be back. The service was friendly but very slow. More importantly, the food was mediocre. The bratwurst was bland with a hard bun and the waffle fries (the best part) were standard fare. This place has an intriguing name but if you come here, stick with the drinks.

Came into town for work. Wife wanted to thae out so she and the kids tagged along. Went to bass pro to browse around. Guy there recommended The Lodge so we went. Atmospherewas good. Music was good and not too loud for my kids. Food was awesome. Overall a great experience. If in the area again, I will be back.

I have not eaten here, as far as the theme, setting and general idea behind the place, I like it. I think its a neat little change of environment, a warm touch. Definitely going to try this place out, Ill update this posting with my opinion of the experience...
