Lola, Lola, where to start? Well I did wear a Hawaiian shirt here which might have influenced things, but seeing the building itself with its brick and aged decor instantly flooded me with that comforting "hipster-in-a-box-coffeeshop" vibe. As if to say this what to expect. Hold up, lets go back a step, its located in a nicely styled area of phoenix, which was refreshing in itself. However I entered through the retro faded yellow paint door to be greeted by handwriting style old window-on-the-wall menu and comfortably cluttered counterspace. I happened to have my hair in some vague ponytail/manbun configuration which also happened to be the style chosen by the barista, immediately leading me to mentally prepare for the "guy-with-that-type-of-hair-encounter-showdown", but somehow he averted with a casually confused aire and didnt let it overrule the purpose of our interaction. Coffee. Yes thats it, back to that. The small coffee was very small and in the range of two dollars fifty cents, which may sound excessive. Going forward I might add that I ordered as cheese danish on a whim and accidentally said I wanted it to go which possibly added the baristas mild confusion since I clearly intended to charge my phone on their many outlets, a lovely attribute that is far to rare in the coffeeshop world. Getting back to the matter at hand let me not waste your time, but, instead get right to the point. When I hesitantly let that first sip pass my lips I knew that Lola, outlets and above averagely tasting and priced coffee included, was the one.

Living a stones throw away from Lola Coffee, you can usually find me here on the weekends catching up on work or reading a book. However, being a quick walk away from this local coffee shop is not the only reason why I choose to be a patron. Lola Coffee is consistently a great place to work with good local coffee roasted weekly, along with the added benefit of having reliable internet. Their chic environment provides a convenient escape from Phoenixs warm temperatures being just a short two minute walk from the Roosevelt light-rail station. With that said, the one thing I love most about being so close to this coffee shop is frequently smelling the aroma of roasting beans waft across the Roosevelt Street. I recommend getting the americano; enough caffeine to wake anyone up while still being able to taste the smooth earthy notes of their varietal blend they use in their roast.

The coffee tastes great! Very very good coffee and great music too, however we were there for breakfast with a big line and the cashier girl cared only to push people through the line. I wasnt finished with my order and she took payment I find that very distasteful and disrespectful. Did not get a receipt or even offered, had to go back in line to ask for it and than not itemized! I ordered breakfast sandwich, coffee and bottled spring water (which had no visible cost anywhere) and got shocked with $18.00 total! The coffee was to stay, got a tiny cup with no room for cream/sugar. I finished and went to get a refill and cost $.50!!!!!!! The coffee was expensive to start with $2.50(cup of coffee) tiny cup and asked the gal to leave room for cream and sugar instead completley disgarded me. Will NOT come here again and would not recommend this place has terrible prices.

I was taken by surprise. My wife planned our breakfast date for Lola and I was not sure. I had the Americano with almond milk and she had caramel coffee. Mine was full bodied so the coffee flavor came right through, nice. Hers was subtle, in a good way, so that you tasted the coffee and caramel. The breakfast burrito was delicious, texture and flavor. If you are there before 7am, free parking on the street until 8am, otherwise use the parking garage behind and adjacent.

Once you have Lola, youll never go back to Charbucks. The food, the staff, the espresso, etc -- All top-notch and I never go anywhere else. Also buy their beans for my home brew. My only complaint is its cramped and a bit noisy. It would be nice if they would expand into the area next door occupied by the salon...

Burnt tasting coffee, rude staff. To be honest, there was only one person who was rude, the others were pleasant enough in our brief interaction. I like more flavorful, less bitter coffee, which thankfully is the trend at most coffee shops lately, though I guess it is hard to bring out that flavor in cold brew...

Presenting exquisite pastries and an exceptional cup of the black liquid, you can expect a delicious cup every time. I would live in Portland Park just so I can walk to this place every morning. My only issue is of course with how busy this place gets, but who cares, coffees good, so stand and sip it is.

Located in In the hot desert of Phoenix, Lola coffee is a yuppie/hipsters oasis for cold brewed iced coffee that you can get with house made ice cream and pastries baked fresh daily. Espresso drinks made to order, both quickly and with care. A welcome sight for eyes made sore by surrounding Starbucks.

Stopped in early in the morning after dropping my wife and son for their flight. The 2 ladies working were very nice and friendly, even for 530 in the morning. They quickly served me my coffee and bagel. The only downside is the prices but its the airport so I expected it to me a little pricey.

Best in this neighborhood. Coffee is great, atmosphere is good, and a variety of pastry options as well. I just wish it was more spacious though. Between tables and chairs is very tight! And it closes a bit early. If you are in the neighborhood, I strongly recommend you to try this place.

Stopped in as I was walking past with my girlfriend. The reviews were good, so we gave it a shot. I had an Americano which was alright; it seemed overly acidic. My girlfriend had a lemonade which was disgustingly sour. It wasnt thirst quenching at all. It was literally undrinkable.

I dont stop into Lola as much as I used too, but Im always happy when I do. Great coffee, friendly staff, tasty pastries, and a comfortable atmosphere make it a nice spot to relax and read a newspaper, work on your laptop, or catch up with a friend.

PROS: Great coffee, casual coffee house environment, clean, extra space to sit outside in the back and mostly friendly staff. CONS: Only one co-ed bathroom, the space gets kind of tight especially at the service counter, parking can be a challenge.

I discovered this place over a year ago and its now one of my favorite places. The coffee is amazing and the people that work there are even better. Devon always has a smile on her face and is always wonderful to chat with while ordering my coffee.

Amazing place with amazing coffee options. The americano was one of the best Ive had. And the cinnamon roll pastry is flaky and moist and just what a delectable treat should be. I highly recommend this place for anyone in the area.

Really great pastry and coffee. The lemonade is really strange; too sweet. There is a chocolate cake-like pastry that is wonderful. They also have a cool area out back next to Pita Jungle patio thats great to just sit and relax.

The coffee was nom nom and I swear it has crack in it. Jk. It did give a great caffeine boost though. Also my omelette was nom nom. I liked the atmosphere and the eclectic group of downtown peeps this place brings in.
