I Guess You Have To Like Their Chili Rub. Me, Not So Much... I stopped in for Brunch when I spotted Kitchen 56 on a Saturday around 10:45 am. I had no idea what to expect, but entered with an open mind. There werent very many brunch items, but several of their lunch items were listed on the brunch menu. None of them appealed to me, so I decided to keep it basic. When I asked my server about the Kitchen 56 Scramble of the day, she indicated that the chefs scramble ingredients of the day were bacon (got my attention), mushrooms, and pepper jack cheese. She indicated that the scramble was then served on a bed of crisp OBrien potatoes with peppers and onions. That sounded like a good choice, so I selected it, and settled in to wait. Looking around, I found the décor very pleasant and inviting. Although I wasnt drinking that early, the drink menu looked really interesting. They had specials on Bloody Marys, Mimosas, and Grapefruit Mint Bellinis. I tucked that information away for the future. My food arrived quickly, and was very hot. The portion was generous, and I could tell it was far more than I could manage to eat. The scramble was tasty, although I didnt understand the addition of thinly sliced potatoes to the scramble, when it was served on a bed of OBrien potatoes. The OBrien potatoes, unfortunately, were a bit salty, and had was flavored with a seasoning that I didnt like at all with the scramble. I had to leave the potatoes alone as they were ruining my scramble, and in fact, caused me to stop eating all together. When my server cane around, and I asked her what the seasoning was, she indicated that the potatoes were seasoned with their "Kitchen 56 Chili rub". As soon as she said Chili, I could peg the taste. When I indicated my dislike of it, she did offer to bring me some more potatoes with none of the seasoning, but by then the flavor had gotten into the scramble and ruined my experience. Service was good, the environment was pleasant, the prices were a touch on the high side, but overall it seems like a nice place. Unfortunately, I think that they rely on their chili rub in a number of their dishes. Since I dont like it, I dont think I will be returning.

Mediocre at best. Wife and I stopped in for dinner on a whim, wasnt really impressed considering the reviews I checked out before stopping in. Had the wings for an app and those were pretty good, cooked well and seasoned perfectly. The wife had the baked potato with pulled pork, but found it rather dry and had to grab an extra serving of butter to put inside. I had the steak, which was cooked really well at a medium rare, but had an issue with the blu cheese topping, which was burnt to the point that it was inedible. Saving grace for this place was the wait staff and our server was spectacular; but ultimately the good quality was unfortunately subpar.

One of my favorite places to meet friends! They have a great Happy Hour menu and the service is always great. My personal faves are the homemade potato chips with dip (always a hit!) and the Calamari Salad. The Calamari was always my go-to" dish, but the last 2 times Ive ordered it Ive been disappointed. Ive been told about kitchen staff changes and recipe changes, but I feel like they took a great recipe and ruined it. I still love the location, staff and ambiance, so Ill just find new dishes to order. Ive had their mushroom pizza and a few of their other dishes. All good. Hopefully no more recipe changes in the future.

Two friends of mine and I were stuck at the stoplight at 56th Street and Indian School. Windows rolled down, we smelled a barbecue grill and saw one of the cutest little patios ever...so naturally we decided to ditch the days plans and get a bite to eat. Fabulously enough, it happened to be happy hour-which they do everyday! We all got cocktails for $5.56 and plates for the same amount. Garlic cilantro wings are good, they come out crispy, hot and with a little flavor of the grill. Not really that psicy but really yummy. Huge portion for a little over five bucks.

I wasnt very wowd by K56 the first time I tried it so I gave it another chance. They delivered food to everyone in my party but me and after I had to ask if I could have my food, they served me my salad on a hot plate. Were talking Mexican restaurant, "be careful, this plate is hot" hot. You dont want the cheese on your salad to be melty, trust me. They also never refilled our waters (it wasnt busy in the restaurant or Id forgive this) and the food is way overpriced for what you get. There are better restaurants in the area. Try those instead.

Really great place overall. Been there for 3 years but just now visiting for the first time since my son has gymnastics at Little Devil around the corner. Love the building and decor. They have a B&W mural of the corner building when it used to be a gas station. The staff is superb. Even tho they didnt have any crayons, the hostest brought over a dry erase board with markers. The prices are a bit high but the quality of the food deserves it with a small exception. 5 stars from me is just an inch away... Thank you 56. Ill be back.

Headed home with family after a meeting and weve been wanting to check this out. Pulled in to take a look. I felt the menu was boring and wished to leave but hubby insisted we stay. Prices are high but Im OK if the food and service is good. Food? was OK, service was horrible!! We are white so cant say if maybe we just didnt have the right "arcadia" smell! The place is cool to look at but frankly Im getting tired of a dressed up burger joint. Ill head on over to the "hole in the wall" joint with good food and nice people.

My mother in law ordered over $200 of takeout for our extended family on a Friday night. They screwed up our order twice, and she had to go back twice to pick up what they missed. They were not apologetic whatsoever, and were completely rude to her. We live a few blocks away, and have had great experiences here sitting out back with our kids during happy hour, so this really surprised us. We will not be back.

We stopped here for dinner after the Luminarias night at Desert Botanical Garden in December, and really enjoyed the experience. Its a quirky, fun place with a smallish but interesting menu, good food, excellent bar selection, & a competent, friendly wait staff. I plan to return when I visit Scottsdale again.

What a fun little place! Met some friends here recently. Had a great menu with a lot different choices. We all had something and enjoyed our choices. I would definitely go back. Service was great as well.

Weve been here quite a few times over the past 5 years. Good casual atmosphere. Friendly staff remade the wings for my son because they were too spicy. Great salads. Pork chops are good too.
