Very dirty restaurant. Very vile and racist cook. Took my wife and children there one Friday and while we were waiting for our food my wife spotted a rodent running across the dining area. At that point we refused our food and demanded our money back. The server was very nice, however when the cook asked what was wrong with the food we explained to him that we just saw a mouse in the dining area and that our meat was also not fully cooked and appeared to have been left out for a long period of time. In the past we received a plate with what appeared to be a dead cockroach inside our shawarma sandwich. We told the manager about our experience and he assured us he would inform the owner. My friend now works there as a cook and according to him, the restaurant is still highly infested with cockroaches and the meat is refrigerated poorly. He advised my family and I to not eat there. However, my family and I thought he may have been angry with his boss, and we love middle eastern food, so of course we decided to give it another try. That is when we saw the mouse. Furthermore, after bringing up the issue to the server and cook, the other cook (not my friend) insisted that we were liars and told us "get out of here, you liar white trash". I was very irate and felt ripped off as I never got my money back, and they never offered to even replace the meal. When I asked if they could at least replace the meal, they told us to leave. I have never met such low class, dirty and disrespectful Arabs in my entire life, and I am 50 years old! I will never be returning to Shahrazad. Such a horrible and disgusting experience. The employees are a disgrace to the middle east, Arabs and Muslims. I was unable to reach the owner of the establishment with my complaints. I was told by the cook that the owner was too busy every time I asked to speak with the owner. Unless you want to be treated like an animal, and receive raw meat and/or dead cockroaches in your food it is a restaurant to definitely stay away from.

As much as I love to see Middle Eastern restaurants succeeding but this place needs improvement. It took them forever to take my order. The order I asked for was Sultani came with no Kabob. The waitress said they dont have it but they will replace it with lamb. I asked for okra soup, they gave me beans instead , I told the waitress bean is not what I asked for she said they ran out of okra. I was charged extra for the change of kabobs with lamb meat. I was not asked how was my dinner, or if there is anything else I need. I am good customer and I will come back for sure after I find out the improvements has taken place.

I got the shawarma sandwich, and it had a really bad weird taste, the chicken was definitely not fresh, the sandwich didnt taste like what a shawarma should taste. ugh im so disappointed . and I really hope i dont get sick because i think the chicken is expired. :( . im never returning there again for sure. update : I dont know what the hell the owner is talking about with his response to my review, im telling my honest and true opinion about your food, and if i could give your shawarma 0 stars i would. you own a restaurant, if you want your food to be improved ( which it should ) then take peoples opinion with an open mind.

We stopped here on the way to Yellowstone from Los Angeles. The first thing that happened is the waiter insulted my father. I played of because we wanted to eat n hit the road. On our way out, we ordered some meet to take with us to BBQ. The meat was suppose to have no bones. We paid 50 bucks for the meat to discover that the butcher filled up the bag with bones to make it weigh more that what it was. It is too bad we paid him cash or I would have contested the charge with my credit card company. This place is a cheat and dishonest n on top of it all rude to their guest. Stay away.

I really liked this place. Very good chicken. The rice was spot on.... maybe some of the most perfectly cooked rice Ive ever had. Loved the flavors. Maybe just a bit expensive, but really a very satisfying meal. I liked the simple salad that came with the meal. Didnt care for their flat bread much... it was kinda dry and tough... maybe authentic, but I just found it a bit "dusty" or something. Also wish they had sambal olek or another chili sauce as a condiment. Great service and cooked to order food.

have you seen the movie falling down, the burger scene? I swear to God that same burger here costs $5. my wifes plate of chicken kabob had about 6 small pieces, one of which was burned to a crisp, no exaggeration. the salad looked like it was a donation and the plate looked like leftovers from the dollar tree while mine had a small paper plate for the fries and a small to go box for the sandwich. it cost $7 with fries and drink. only reason 2 stars is because of the nice waitress and the food didnt taste bad.

Im a meat lover and regularly shop here for the raw meat. The meat has a strong and pungent taste the last time and fell sick for almost a month with couple of emergency hospital visits..Gastro entrologist mentioned that my sickness was related to food poisoning.... To Shahrazad: Take care of your regular customers. Please make sure the Lamb/chicken/beef is preserved properly and have them refrigerated once the store closes

I love browsing the marketplace. If you are a foodie there’s a lot of cool products here. It’s inexpensive compared to a regular grocery store. In the back of the store, they have a restaurant- I ordered a Falafel sandwich that’s actually falafel and veggies rolled in a flatbread wrap. For about $8, I go the flatbread wrap, fries, and a drink. Not bad compared to other restaurants that charge a lot more for just a dish

This place is incredible. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic experience; both the food and service were wonderful. Ive had lamb more times than I can count, and this may very well be the very best Ive ever had. My boyfriend had their goat, and it impressed us both. Overall: well worth the twenty bucks for two full meals.

I recently tried Shahrazad for the first time. It was my first time trying middle eastern food and it did not disappoint. I loved the fresh bread and hummus and the food tasted amazing. This is definitely one of the best kept secrets in Utah. I recommend Shahrazad to anyone who loves middle eastern food!

Absolutely amazing food! I come back and forth from the Middle East to the United States; and its like taking a piece with me from Dubai or Saudi Arabia. The staff is so friendly and they always are attentive. Its great and convenient that they also have a store! Would absolutely recommend Shahrazad.
