I swear I was being punked. It was like a bad episode in real life. I love Pho and so I looked this place up in a Google search for top 10 pho places in Phoenix. This was a meet up lunch with my girlfriend and her toddler. Myself and my toddler arrived a little earlier we got a table, and I asked for a high chair. They brought the highchair (dirty with grime and sticky stuff all over) no big deal, I had disinfectant wipes. I cleaned it up and sat my kid in it. As I sat down myself, I realized my chair was wet. I immediately stood up and noticed there was a yellow urine like puddle under the table. I told the waiter staff and they just replaced my chair, claiming it was just water spilled. It def smelled bad and it was not water. Whatevs, I went into the restroom and wiped off whatever it was with soap off the back of my jeans. My girlfriend and her kid arrived so they asked for another highchair. Another dirty highchair was brought. I handed her the wipes and she did her thing. We ordered our food, which took a little while Pho Ga (chicken pho) and a sandwich for our kids to split. I tasted my Pho and it was descent, however before I could take a 2nd sip we looked over on the wall by our table and saw a cockroach just passing by like we were in his territory. This is when we got up and walked to the cashier and told them whats up. They thought we were lying or something. I walked them over and pointed at the cockroach. At this point they just started cleaning up the table and muttering something under their breath. Thats cool. I walked back to the cashier and his response was "Dont worry its on me" .....I paused with silence and had to make sure there were no one jumping out with cameras telling me I was on an episode of some sort of disgusting restaurant joke. The most horrible restaurant experience ever.

My family and I have have been faithful patrons of Da Vàng for over 30 years, from the time they only had 1 suite, then expanded to 2 suites, and then 3, and now four. We have planned a trip for a nice family dinner to Da Vàng for serval months, and finallly was able to go there yesterday. We casually know the family who own this restaurant, but some of their workers leave much to be desired --- particularly the older, short, skinny man who takes the orders. He never ever seems to listen to the specifics of our orders. He does not repeat back to us what we ordered, especially when asked he heard what we just said. SMH. We ordered several items and one of which was 2 extra large bowls of wonton soups. The wonton fillings were hard and the taste was sour, as though spoiled. The broth was off from what we are used to with their cooking. We ordered the spring rolls with grilled pork and chicken. The grilled pork was extra dry and tasteless. This is so unusual for them, or maybe not. We have come to the conclusion that as their reputation expands and more people are coming in, they are too laxed and banking too much on their popularity, and NOT ENOUGH on the quality of the food and services. We will not come back. There are just too many options now for good Vietnamese food in the Phoenix metroplex, to waste our money and precious time/energy on subpar food and low-level service.

Ok, SO BEING FROM CALI(BAY AREA:SAN JOSE & OAKLAND), I KNOW WHAT GREAT PHO TASTE LIKE. This was my second Pho restaurant in Phoenix so far and I have to say, this place was also very good. Broth was flavorful. They pack tons of noodle and meat into a small bowl. I have been to many Pho places and the common thing is service, not so great. ...but I dont go there for service, I go there for great food. Their menu is pretty big so lots to choose from. So if you dont like Pho, its ok, they have other options for you. I would return. My wife, who is very, very critical, said this place was better than the first place we went to (43rd express...) I am still up in the air. I would return to both . You wont be disappointed. Oh yeah, and very affordable.

We came here because Pho Thanh was closed. The service here is just as awful. We had to wait forever to ask for small plates for our Banh Xeo and our second order of Goi Cuon. How can you dip into that yummy nuoc cham, without a plate?!! The Pho was as expected. Delicious and full of flavor. Accompaniments aplenty. However, they forgot my meatballs in my Pho! Hubby flagged down a server. They never came, so he had to ask another, and I finally got them. This was always my other go to place for Pho, since 1996! So, yes, I would come here again. Just dont expect top notch service, ever!! If youve never been, I recommend Banh Xeo for the app. Yumm!!

Not as good as Pho Thanh, but itll do. the Bun Rieu is a difficult dish to make correctly. at this place, that dish is kind of bland and oily. my caucasian friend said his Pho was alright, but the complexity of the broth was not as good as at Pho Thanh. this place does not make very good egg rolls. again, this is just my and my friends opinion. everyone has different tastes, but the fact that im one of only a handful of reviewers that is vietnamese of the more than 60 here that has reviewed the place should speak to the quality of the food. if youre a beginner into eating vietnamese cuisines, this is the place for you.

Yes, there are stained ceiling tiles and the furnishings are cheap and theyll sometimes shout your order to the back. If this is important to you, dont come here. If you want delicious, inexpensive food served promptly, this is it. Everyone recommends the Pho, (#2a at $4.50) and rightly so. I comes in a huge bowl with only a little meat, lots of noodles, and a pile of greens. Its rare that I can finish it off by myself. The other great items are the BBQ beef sandwich (#75 at $2.75), and for dessert the coconut milk, seaweed, bean and crushed ice dessert ($1.75). Really.

Never made it as far as the food. Upon arrival, myself and my guest were charmlessly ordered to follow a gentleman who did not so much as return a smile upon seating us. From there, we proceeded to wait patiently at our table for about a half hour, before deciding to take our leave. Beyond the initial command to, "Follow him", not a single member of the staff so much as acknowledged our existence. The food may very well be spectacular, but the dispassionate staff have ensured that I will never be making a second attempt at giving this establishment my business.

Authentic Vietnamese dishes and amazing prices! This is the first Vietnamese restaurant we came to eat since visiting here. The food is actually better than some of the Vietnamese restaurants in northern California. I was impressed! The service and the ambience is typical of a casual family owned Vietnamese restaurant. However, our server was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely go back and eat here again.
