I was so hoping to like this restaurant since it was listed as #2 on Yelp. I will no longer read Yelp reviews. We were greeted right away by a hostess with a smile on her face who seated us promptly. I was a little taken aback by the decor. It probably hasnt changed since almost 30 years ago when it opened. The chairs had rollers on them; there was dust on the old paintings, and there was a jewelry "shop" at the entrance with a very old and faded Liz Taylor advert. There were no windows, as they must have been boarded up long ago and covered up with beige, closed blinds on the inside, kind of claustrophobic. The food. Crab puffs were typical fare: deep fried triangles. At least they were hot on the inside. We ordered the Beef and Broccoli, Generals chicken, and Lemon chicken. The beef was very tender and the broccoli fresh, but the sauce was just a plain, canned sauce. Generals chicken was a little better, with crispy thigh meat in a very nice sauce with chiles, fresh onion, and sesame seeds. The lemon chicken was a real disappointment: very small cubes of dry white meat in too much over-fried batter. It tasted like their oil hasnt been changed in a while too. Why oh why cant these old Chinese restaurants reinvest their monies into updating their decor and menus? Why cant they just buy fresh food and make everything to order? Im tired of canned and packaged sauces, batters, etc. At least they have the service element down: very friendly and efficient. Come on Phoenix, you can do better than this!

My family knows the owners of this restaurant and their cooking is really good. It is family owned and operated. It is a little run down and but think they will be remodeling this place soon. Everyone is always really friendly and attentive when you go here. We usually have 6+ people whenever we go and they put us at a table with a lazy susan. Everything we order comes and they put it on the lazy susan and we share everything. I dont think weve had anything bad to eat here. What is great about having many people is that you get to try many delicious dishes. Whenever I crave Chinese, its this place I want to go to.

My family went there a decade ago. It was a memorable and delicious meal. The old school Chinese meal and excellent service impressed us all. We speak of it every so often with fondness, especially when were at some uppity, but inferior Chinese restaurant. I felt the "vintage" decor actually added to the charm and ambiance. I was looking for a restaurant for the family tonight, and ran across these reviews. Well be eating there tonight.

Best Chinese Restaurant Ever!!!!! Theyre so nice, two kids was crying so the two ladies went and made them laugh and gave them some candy. I couldnt believe it, usually people would just ignore the kids but they step in and helped out the young parents. The Food Was Amazing!!!! Everything Clean!!!! Well Decorated!!!! Best Of All The People!!!!!

We moved to the Biltmore area about a year ago and been struggling to find a really good chinese restaurant. So glad we tried this place. Super cute and clean. We went for dinner. Very good Orange Chicken and Broccoli Beef! Came with soup and an appetizer. The service itself was worth the price! Will definitely be back soon!

Recently moved to Phoenix and was in search of a good Chinese place. This place is better than any other place we have tried. The service is good and the prices are great especially for the amount of food you get. The Potstickers are awesome, my husband loves the Beef Broccoli and I love the Kung Pao Chicken.

The previous review is absurd. The decor is authentic as if eating at a friends home with service to match. Food costs money and for what you pay (affordable), you get a very well prepared satisfying meal every time. Do yourself a favor, check this place out and ask for some chopsticks from Roger

Came here for dinner with my son. Service was good and food was decent. Not bad at all. Chow mein and orange chicken dinner special comes with this honey hotwing that they should be selling by the dozens it was so good.

The shrimp had poop in it, the service was horrible, waited ages to be served and was ignored most of the time. The restaurant was busy, but there is no excuse for a lack of customer service or quality of ingredients.

Ordered Kung Pow Chicken lunch special was anything but. Half of it was onion. The chicken was bland and the sauce was very sweet. Fried wontons had no filling. Terrible experience.
