Sonic is over glorified fast food. My wife picked up a meal and dessert for two and it was $40. This is ridiculous. Salaries: The average employee earns $8 an hour at sonic which is less than most chains, including in and out burger.... They work them often times less than 40 hours a week to avoid additional cost for a full time employee. Service, This is the kind of place you have to go to with the mindset of "Ill look past the rudeness for food" Its sad because I guarantee the vast majority of people have the same mindset of looking past your flaws....now you may say this is a given, and I would agree, if you were priced appropriately. There is NO customer service, the staff arent vested in your company, they mess up orders..... $40 meal for two can be done way better than this and still be aligned reasonably with your profit and loss statements, however, that extra few percent represents a dollar figure that feeds into the greed of those who are equity partners. Food, Sub par. The chicken products are not fresh, popcorn chicken often stale. The coneys have soggy buns, sometimes hard and stale, the hotdogs are pruned from sitting in the water for hours. I can go on and on. Bottom line, You either need to address these items so your price tag doesnt leave some bitter with their purchase and give them value in which they dont mind Or you lower your price to match the current level you are playing at. Otherwise You will begin to realize an attrition rate that will hurt the business more in the long run although you profit today. Although you have been established for years, the problems companies have is they focus too much on the dollar instead of being a customer focused company, new management (throughout the years) have to ask themselves; "am I building a 1 year business or a 10 year business?"

I have never been treated so poorly. I took my niece to get food and it appeared to be slow (only two other cars). No one responded when we hit the red button in the pull up parking spaces so after 5 mins, yes we finally timed it, we went to drive thru. Waited another 2 mins. Car behind us left. The girl who answered didnt understand any items we ordered even though we called them by the name they were right on the menu in front of us. Pulled up, paid the girl drinking her mc cafe, obviously she doesnt like sonic either. Got our drinks with strawberry syrup dripping down the side. I asked for a napkin and the girl at the window didnt say anything just grabbed my drink from me and took care of the syrup. Waited another 5 mins then we got our food. Waited a few more mins, kinda becoming a joke at this point, then the same girl we had been dealing with says for ice cream its going to be awhile and can they get us something else. We had been sitting there for over 10 mins and they just then told us? I told her this is ridiculous and she closed the window on me. No other choice I drove off even though i had already paid for the rest of our order. Never once was there an apology or offer to make things right. Never have I experienced this. Tonight marks the worst fast food restaurant experience I have ever encountered. This is the last time I will ever visit a Sonic. No other fast food chain I have visited has given me a worse experience than the Sonic on Mckellips Dr. First of all, my son’s order was screwed up twice. Then my husband went to pick up his drink, and the lid wasn’t properly on the cup and it spilled all over him and his food. Lastly, not knowing that pretzel buns are only for hotdogs, I asked for one on my chicken sandwich and they used 2 hotdog buns and didn’t even tell me they don’t offer sandwich pretzel buns. Plus, they charged me 2 extra dollars for this creation. This isn’t the first time I’ve had issues with this Sonic. Something is ALWAYS screwed up in the order or the location is out of ice cream. Not only that, any time I call to speak with the manager, they don’t care. They barely offer an apology. This restaurant is pathetic and I have many choices in the area, so this will be my last visit to Sonic, or any Sonic for that matter. It seems that Sonic has no intention of bettering their restaurants. What a shame.

I was very very disappointed with this visit to Sonic. I was visiting from Mesa and went here. We went late at night and it was pretty busy. We ordered and got told that our total would be $6 and some change but when we got up to the window somehow something had been added to our order and made it about $10. The lady at the window said the total and took my card and closed the window before I could even question why it went up. Somehow she added an extra shake and ice cream cone to our order and then when I questioned it she told me that they couldnt refund cards and it was too busy for her to do anything. I was in a hurry to get somewhere so I didnt say anything but I was very upset that they just added things to the order that I never said. I also dont know if they were under a remodel or something but this place was so dark, they had no lights lit up or anything like Sonics normally have. It was very weird for sure.

everyone here commenting about super slow service is absolutely correct. two cars in front of us at 615, didnt leave the drive thru until 645. couldnt get a hot dog and a junior burger any faster than that? this place needs a massive overhaul in staffing. they have no sense of urgency, thats apparent. today my bf and I wanted to give them a 2nd chance and luckily no one else was in the drive thru, but this time the food was worse than the service. my burger had cheese on it when he said no cheese multiple times to the kid taking the order. my bfs hot dog had way too much relish on it and the fries were cold. we were in a hurry so didnt have time to wait for them to remake anything. where is the management here? why is this location so poorly run? so disappointing because Ive loved sonic for years but this location is a huge letdown.

I would rate this sonic location a half a star? Due to the fact it was very rude coustmer service? I never gonna coming back to this location? I myself manage a fast food chain!!! & we never give horrible coustmer service? I had order 6 # 1 sonic chessebuger minus the onions & A #11 combo & a #7 combo? We pull up to the window they repeated our order & it was wrong? They had put no onions & no lettuce? & Who ever took our order was very rude ? I ask cashier we said no onions but leave the lettuce on? Whoever was on the grilled sighs saying I just made them?? She told us it gonna be another 5 minutes we waited in the drive through for almost 25 minutes already? So I was like forget it? Im not coming back we had bad service? This place needs new employees & a good shift manager at night...
