Went for lunch with my wife and two kids. We ordered kids cheese burgers, a crispy chicken sandwich, hot wings and a burger. The kids food came out first and was what you would expect for a kids cheeseburger. Next my crispy clucker came out and was just below average, the chicken seemed a little dry and the bottom bun was broken in pieces. We were told the wings and burger were on there way. 10 minutes later the wings showed up only to be COLD to the touch. Not raw mind you, but they felt like they just came out of a fridge. They were cooked so I was really confused how that even happens. Another 10 minutes and we were told the burger was coming. Finally after an hour of waiting we asked for the burger to go while the kids finished up their food. The staff was nice and they did comp our meal, but I dont see us returning anytime soon, which is a bummer since we live a few blocks away and walk to the part all the time.

This place is excellent, indeed. I dont typically try to find reasons to come this far East; a trip to the pork shop, stop in at the olive mill, and now definitely, dining at the HandleBar Diner. Adams Southern Soul mixed with some Southwestern flare has created some great dishes. If comfort food is your thing as it is mine, I suspect youll love this place. We had the opportunity to try several dishes and all where great, which is unusual. I might have a couple go-to dishes at my favorite places, but not eight of them! Amazing pancakes, tots with pork belly, fried steak, and lobster sliders to name a few. A pastry chef making rolls and desserts daily along with a great craft beer and bar selection really rounds this place out as incredible.

Coming from a coastal area I was really pleasantly surprised by the quality of the fish and chips, and the fries are to die for. We also got the HandleBar burger which was cooked perfectly with farm fresh greens which is always a plus. The come back sauce on the burger is like thousand island but with a slight kick, and the house made buns are incredible. For dessert we had the Habenaro Carrot cake which had a sweet frosting and nuts on top. The Habenaro gives it quite a kick so if you like heat this is the dessert for you. We also had the passion fruit coconut cake which had a very decadent frosting that I loved. The menu is out of this world and I know I will have to go back many times to just try all the things I see that look good.

We were able to choose our own seats. It took a long time for a server to greet us, the hostess ended up taking our drink order and assured us that a server would be with us. When he finally showed up, he was very impersonal and did not introduce himself. He took our order and left. The food took a very long time, but it was so good. This is what will be bringing us back. We had the west style loaded tots, my husband got a buffalo style chicken sandwich (cleverly called" Boy I love losing superbowls" on the menu), and I had the GCS, a grilled chicken sandwich. I opted for onion rings as my side and there was no extra charge. French fries were good as well.

The food and service was okay. What grossed me out was the amount of flies that were inside the diner. In addition to this, the owner/manager accidentally knocked his hat, a cup and straws into the ice machine and the waitress just took everything out with her bare hands(she previously was touching beer, money and food) and called it a day. From what I understand, an ice bin shouldnt be left open like that and if something contaminates it, you need to empty the ice bin, sanitize it and then refill it. This place isnt sanitary at all, and the food wasnt that good either. Probably wont be going back again.

We came on a Friday evening and ordered our food to go. While we waited everyone was so kind & super friendly. They even made a special mac n cheese dish for our little girl, which was so sweet. They also gave her a cookie as a special treat! Everyone was super sweet & made the little bit of a wait worth it! Our meals were delicious! Were totally excited & happy to have this lovely gem of a restaurant in our neighborhood. Maybe next time well order breakfast! Thank you!! :-)

Wow!!! Worse dinning experience ever. 50 min to get a drink order in. Ordered food and after another hour we still didnt have our food. Yet 3 other tables that came after us had eaten. 1 of the tables came an hour after us and had there food. Dont know how I can even give them 1 star. We left without eating. Even though its in our neighborhood we wont be back.

Had really high hopes for this place. The menu looked really good however the ingredients were really poor. The service was horrible. I got bacon, eggs, potatoes, and toast..the eggs taste like they were out of a carton, the bacon was okay, the potatoes had zero seasoning to them, and the toast was like they toasted it as soon as we ordered and let it sit.

High quality farm-to-table dining experience in a quaint 1950s diner environment. Very impressive concept. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT! Helpful tips: *Full service (limited) indoor seating *Full service outdoor (mostly shaded) seating *The walk up window is for to-go orders. *Full bar and a great selection of local brews too #handlebardiner

Unbelievably disastrous. 6 out of our partys 8 orders were cold, under cooked and very delayed. The gentleman that paid the bill got his order 40 mins after everyone got their food...to-go...Additionally, they only comped half the bill. I believe in second chances and hopefully you can turn this around after taking this to heart.

I can with some of my friends on a Friday there was one lady who started yelling at us to do certain things and at one point I was waiting at the window to order my food a pen looked stuck in the window so I took it out and the lady started yelling at me and my friends

Horrible attitude from servers. Waited 30 minutes to sit, took order only to find out that your order doesnt get started until about 40 minutes AFTER you order! Floaters in the coffee and tea that tastes like dish water.. will never come back.

Fries were stale and the rest of the meal was disappointing. Too bad, because its a funky little local diner with so much potential. Needs new ownership and/or management. My money says it will be out of business within a year.

Food is ok when the chicken is not dry. Too many flies, too hot, too pricey. Shakes are not good and small for the high price. Service is ok, not great. Lower prices=more customers and less expectations.

Wow! This is the cutest little diner in the most unexpected place. Food was delicious and definitely chef inspired. We loved it! P.S. the only let down was the overwhelming presence of so many flies!!!
