We stayed the night at this beautiful little place. No TV, which was perfect (there is a TV room downstairs if your getaway includes that, watching TV on vacation is lame though). The room was clean and everything was in place. The only thing I couldnt figure out how to work was the heater, although the staff was friendly enough that I could have easily grabbed someone and asked how to use it. The room comes with a complementary breakfast. We ate their huevos rancheros and bananas fosters french toast. We have eaten these same meals before, and they have always been delicious. However, this time the bananas werent cut up as small as they should have been and the sauce had crunchy sugar in it. We know this was a one time mistake, and it still tasted very good. The staff was extremely friendly. My wife and I joked that we were being treated like royalty. Overall the experience and food was 5 star worthy. We would recommend this place to anyone. Side note: we ordered dessert the night before, and when the plate arrived we asked about a nut allergy, and they gave us a new plate of a different dessert at no charge. Again, they were very helpful and friendly.

We went here for brunch. I tried three plates, the coffee, a bloody Mary, and the cinnamon roll. All of it was okay, not great. Bananas Foster French Toast was extremely sweet, and the sauce was grainy with brown sugar. The salmon Benedict was extremely fishy although the hollandaise sauce was quite good. My fathers omelet was the best of the three, but was under seasoned. The hash browns are under seasoned. The coffee had a good smoky flavor but it was not brewed strongly enough and it lacked the full body I expect from dark roasts (in other words it was a little too watery). The cinnamon rolls are well done, but not sufficiently impressive to warrant the trip up the canyon followed by a 30 minute wait. Bloody Mary was unsatisfying, but Im ready to blame myself for not liking that one. It was too busy, the staff offered unhelpful suggestions that made me feel bad about my food choices, the atmosphere was stuffy, and the dining area was poorly lit. Will not come back in a hurry.

This is the worst place we have ever had breakfast. The food was the greasiest food we have ever been served in a restaurant! The hash browns looked like they had been deep fried dripping with grease, which was all you could taste. The service was unbelievably slow. Waited for 15 min. before we were even acknowledged. Another 16 min. before we even received our coffee(which we had to ask for again) It took over an hour to even receive our meal. The table next to us was experiencing the same problem and they were very upset. Our waiter Nicholas totally forgot about us, never refilled our coffee. Never even came back to check if everything was o.k. He didnt even bring the food out or serve us the coffee we had to ask someone else to get. The service was the worst ever encountered and the food was unbelievably GREASY! Dont understand why people like this place! Will never go back or recommend to anyone that we like.

We arrived at 8:10 on a Friday hoping to get up to Brighton by 9. Walked in and there was zero acknowledgment we were even there. Waited 11 minutes and the two guys in front of us were finally seated. No one came back for us nor acknowledged our existence...still. Waited another ~7 minutes or so and went and asked waitress about seating. She said she didnt know...huh? How is that possible? Super rude and unwelcoming. We didnt stay. I wondered if we stayed and ate it would have been lunchtime by the time we got our food. Total waste and glad we didnt stick around. From other reviews for breakfast sounds like we didnt miss much. Total bummer given the location. This place should be awesome cause everything else around is. Ended up with a great breakfast at Brightons lodge.

Previously when we came early, they were not busy and asked the cook to prepare real fresh food and got it. :) This summer, I was a disappointed in the dining experience at Silver Fork. Great setting, too bad it is reduced to basic diner greasy food. Argumentative waitress and owner. Service was very unpleasant & slow. When asking for fresh food, got a bossy waitress response instead... and was served prepackaged soft fried hash browns and bottled mushy veggies. A restaurant in the mountains should have fresh food. I have seven large families who came as a tradition and they lost us. Try IHop or Cracker Barrel save your $ "if" you like diner faire. Then Hike!!! :)

My wife and I arrived for an early dinner on a Sunday. She ordered the reuben with french fries and I order the pulled pork sandwich. When our orders arrived her sandwich was falling apart and looked like a mess, minus a deli pickle. The pulled pork is supposed to come with a house BBQ sauce and the sandwich was completely void of any BBQ sauce or any flavor. The pork was tender but it appeared as if it was cooked without even salt. Service was sub par. I really dislike writing negative reviews and quite enjoy posting ones that leave either my wife or I saying wow. Giving two stars for the mountain setting.

This place used to be good, but they recently have made some changes to apparently try and cater to a higher end crowd (sort of become a "Log Haven" if you will) and charging for it but the service is not stellar, nor is the food worth the money they charge. A bottleneck seems to exist in the kitchen because there seem to be an abundance of waiters. Things seemed a little chaotic. The food is good here, but nowadays you are paying for the scenery more than anything, unfortunately, and as such it has become an official tourist trap, in my local opinion. They are known for their meatloaf however.

The drive up is wonderful, about 15 minutes from the bottom of the hills. There is a bar as you walk in, not exactly very big and I wouldnt consider the drive for just that, the employees are friendly and quick to help get everyone seated. There is a dining room that has a fireplace and the all wood decor is quaint. There is also an outdoor patio to eat in with heaters for the cooler winter days, under the patio, there is a area set for wedding reception. The menu is filled with excellent choices that can accommodate gluten free diet. A very nice place to eat.

We went for breakfast and had a great meal. It wasnt crowded (we were there midweek in late summer), and service was prompt and friendly. The atmosphere was informal like a diner, but the food was altogether more delicious than a typical diner. I had Taras Eggs Benedict (sans ham, please), which replaced the English muffin with a bed of arugula and hash browns. The hollandaise wasnt bland, but properly tart and lemony. It was a delicious variation of a standard, one Id definitely like to eat again.

I had my wedding at silver fork. It was beautiful, every aspect was amazing. Nancy and Kori made my wedding day relaxing and seamless. I would do another event there in a heart beat. My husband and I plan to spend anniversaries there because of how perfect our wedding weekend was because if silver fork. Every aspect from the first contact to the final check out was professional and amazing. It was also affordable for the atmosphere and dining. We love this place and would recommend it to anyone.
