let me preface this with the fact that I have been a loyal customer for almost 6 years... until now I had a party of 12 arrive at 6pm and the restaurant was fairly empty. it took over 5 minutes for a server to greet us and another almost 5 minutes to receive our water. There were no napkins, plates, or soy sauce dishes on the table. When another member of my party got up and asked the manager for some plates and napkins (due to the server not being around), she told him "yes yes yes we will get it, now go sit down" I dont think anything needs to be said about the rudeness of that above quote. Myself and a buddy both got the all you can eat. After ordering the sushi, it took approximately 35 minutes to get the first round. The server took the paper for us to write our next round down and it took almost 20 minutes to track down the paper. While trying to write the second order down, the manager came over in a hurry and demanded to see our paper after telling us we had a rainbow roll (we told her we didnt order that). She continued to demand our paper until we handed it to her. She then hurried away. We handed the paper to the server with our second order and approximately 45 minutes after that, myself and my buddy had to ask what the status was. The server said he would check on it. Approximately 20 minutes after that, another manager brought out my buddies two rolls and none of mine. The server asked us if everything was good. I informed him that I was missing my sushi rolls and gyoza and my buddies calamari. They brought all of the checks out at this time (weird since I didnt even have all of my food yet, same for my buddy) The server stated "it will be a very long time for the gyoza". I was shocked and asked why. He stated that the orders were very backed up. I told him forget it. We finished our food and I wrote on the check that it was the worst service Ive had in 6 years... its a shame because it used to be the best place to go. now the prices are hiked up and the service is way below par. do yourself a favor and find another place. hope this was helpful!

Weve ordered delivery from this restaurant at least 5-6 times over the last 2 months. Its absolutely delicious. Our regular order consists of Butter Fried Calamari, (2) 7 Piece Salmon Sashimi (might I add these pieces are huge, at least twice the size of other Sashimi), Las Vegas Roll, Avocado Salmon Roll and a large Miso Soup. Weve tried numerous other things but these are our go to favorites and we tend to reorder regularly. Ive eaten at many Sushi establishments in the Phoenix area and this place is by far the best. Not only are the portions huge but the fish is fresh and delicious. I was a bit surprised after getting our first order because the Sashimi pieces were massive. Usually theyre incredibly thin and often times very bland, this Salmon was incredible! My 17 year old daughter has gone from completely hating raw Salmon to begging me to order it from Orient Sushi. Another favorite of ours is the Salmon and Avocado roll, this is definitely a summer time must. Its so incredibly fresh you have to keep eating. If youre in the area I highly recommend stopping here, or if you live close by they deliver internally (we are just over three miles away but Im not sure their delivery cut off) if you are too far you can order through DoorDash for their standard fees. When it arrives all sushi is in a bag on top of plastic ice bags so your food is fresh, cold and ready to eat when it arrives. The hot food is packaged perfectly so arrives hot and delicious. Now lets talk about the price. Usually when you mention "Sushi" its cringe worthy because in order to get good quality it costs an arm and a leg. NOT at Orient Sushi, $7 for a Vegas Roll, $9 for 7 HUGE pieces of Salmon, the prices are incredibly fair and affordable for all budgets. We will absolutely be customers as long as were in Arizona. In fact were counting down the minutes until they open today so we can order in our Fathers Day feast. If you love good Sushi, you have to try this place, you wont be disappointed.

Wow. I read the reviews and wanted to try a good all you can eat AYCE sushi place while in town and picked Orient Sushi & Grill. I ate at another sushi restaurant yesterday and was quite disappointed. The restaurant interior is nice, not overly fancy. Nice and clean. I sat by the front windows which I didnt love since the sun was shining on my table. It was winter and during the summer this wouldnt be an issue because of the location of the sun. The first thing I noticed about their menu is it is not just sushi. They had classic Chinese American dishes as well. The AYCE menu had not only sushi, but some appetizers and some of the non-sushi dishes. I started the meal off with some fried squid and crab wontons. The squid I didnt much care for, but the crab wontons were awesome. I could have just order the wontons for my entire meal. I tried 4 different rolls. They were huge! Usually I expect smaller rolls with lots of rice, but that was not the case here. They had just the right amount of rice and tons of filling and toppers. One of the rolls was called the Dynamite Scallop roll. It was a California fill with baked scallops on top. These werent little tiny scallops either. They were dollar coin size scallop pieces. It was great. The service was wondeful. They refilled my drinks and check on me often. If I was to offer any type.of critcism it would be about their eel sauce. It was not quite as sweet as I like it. Overall a great AYCE sushi. Too bad Im not a local.

Just moved to AZ and tried Orient Sushi out last week. The sushi was really good. Great selection on the menu. Plenty to choose from if you dont want sushi or if you are a vegetarian. The portion sizes were great. That includes the thickness of the sushi / sashimi slices. Service was good but our waitress was a bit of a flake. She couldnt understand basic English and asked my wife to repeat herself three times when she was asking if they had Bento boxes. We thought it was hilarious when the waitress handed my wife a pencil and we had to explain to her we wanted to know if there are Bento specials and we didnt need her pencil! The waitress noticed my ice tea was gone about halfway through our meal and did mention she would bring a refill, which she never did come back with. We cant complain too much considering the drinks we had were either included with the meal or complimentary. That is a pretty nice touch if they are part of the meal. Overall, the food is fantastic which is why we will go back. I just hope to get a different waiter or waitress next time. UPDATE (approximately 2 years after our first dining experience here): Weve since gone back many times to this restaurant. The owners even know us now which is hilarious. We love their food and the wait staff since our first experience has gotten significantly better. Definitely try this place if you want sushi or some great cooked Japanese dishes.
