My grandmother, sister and I all decided to eat at C-Fu Gourmet a few weeks back after spending some time at Jumpstreet, and it turned out to be a great decision! I split an entree with my sister, as the serving sizes are quite large, and it was some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in quite a while! My sister and I opted for a vegetable Lo Mein, which came with fried rice, egg rolls and soup, so it wasnt the most extravagant meal, but it was still delicious. The egg drop soup came within seconds of ordering, and was fantastic. The actual entree itself, however, took a little while to come out, especially considering that it was 3pm, and there were only three or four other occupied tables in the place, but it was well worth the wait! To start, the fried rice was the best I’ve ever had in my life. Ever. It was so good, that we actually ended up ordering another side serving of it, and eating almost all of it! (Keep in mind the portions were huge!) The vegetable Lo Mein was amazing as well. It was cooked to perfection, and not drowning in soy sauce (a personal pet peeve of mine). Overall the experience was very good. The staff was very polite, moved quickly, and the food was excellent! My only complaint would be that they had a very modern radio station playing (something like 101.5) which I found to be a bit odd. Other than that however, I was quite pleased! I will definitely be returning!

We have been going to CFu a couple times a year for 7 years...and for the last 3 years at Christmas... CFu used to be awesome....but this is the 2nd year in a row we have been completely disappointed. We got there around 11:15 and were surrounded by carts all serving cold food...we sent a couple items back and asked for fresh hot food and 60 seconds she was back with freshly microwaved food! We couldnt get anyone to bring us the dishes we really liked...but fresh and at the least warm....we finally got some warm calamari...and a couple fresh and hot items...but they never brought us the pork...or chinese broccoli...both of which were cold the first time around. We talked to the owner who didnt seem the least bit concerned only annoyed that we didnt care for it. Upon paying the tab I also mentioned our concern about the quality of the food....has anyone else noticed the shrimp balls that once used to be big and meaty balls...are now small and just a bites worth but same price? I realize food will get cold but really.....it used to be 100% better than it is now! We have opted not to return and check out one of the newer and highly reccomened dim sum restaurants next time....Such a shame! We even mentioned this to the owner...who used to be very nice and very concerned about the customers

C-Fu used to be the best Dim Sum in Phoenix. Ive been going there regularly for over 15 years. That changed about two years ago. I dont know what happened but the food quality went way down and the service drifted into indifferent. New ownership? Chef change? I have been back every six months to hope for a change but have found that mediocrity still prevails. My wife wont even try any more. Presently there is no first or even second rate dim sum in Phoenix. We get first rate dim sum in San Francisco, Seattle, or Vancouver when we can. The second rate dim sum in Minneapolis, New York, and Chicago is much better than anything in Phoenix. I dont know LA, but I bet someone there knows what they are doing. There are two better places in Phoenix that offer third rate dim sum. The place across the street from C-Fu and the place far west on Camelback. Neither are memorable. Id rate C Fu as fourth rate. Gosh I wish that would change. They used to be a solid second class contender.

It really upsets me just how far this restaurant has fallen. The service is horrendous and the place is dirty. Our food order started to trickle out after 90 min. At 2 1/2 hours we still only had 5 of 11 dishes. We had one person with an MSG allergy, so we ordered all our dishes without. When the food arrived, the servers were unable to reassure us that this request had been honored. The overall menu remains the same, very extensive one, as used by the precious owners. Unfortunately, the cooks do not know how to make some of the styles. All our dishes seemed to be Hong Kong style - even the Hunan shrimp and Kung Pao chicken. I had not been here in a couple years, but had been a huge fan of C-Fu going all the way back to their old location on McClintock & Guadeloupe. Sadly, after 24 years I will not be returning.

I dropped in for lunch on my own. Didnt have the dim sum as that seems to be a family group activity. Food was quick. Lunch special combo at a good price. I was able to keep it vegetarian...a plus! No wait staff ever checked on the quality of my meal or if I needed anything else. Basically, I was left alone...whatever. Had to grab my own chop sticks and extra napkins from another table. Just as well. The hostess was very difficult to understand (thick accent) and had to repeat herself after everything she said to all the non Asians in the room. My Food tasted good and was cooked perfectly but the Tofu quality was spongy and limp. Ive had worse and Ive had better. Cant judge completely since dim sum is supposed to be their flagship fare and I didnt have that.

[Update] it seems there has been a change of ownership and the results are not great... the food went downhill.. got cold rice got food that seemed to be on the carts for a while new waiters that didnt even know what they had on the carts........ sorry guys......[update over but im going to leave up my original review as a reminder of how this place used to be!] Great food... It gets pretty busy here on the weekends but the food is worth it.... Service.. Not so much... Sometimes you wait till youre almost done before you see some of the dim sum carts and sometimes you have to wait for drink refills for no apparent reason other then just being ignored. ... Having said that... I do love the food and go here often when I need some dim sum.

Hope I can give it NO STAR. Simply cant believe the new owner dont even bother to make changes to the restaurant. Simply come early and you will smell the dead fish from the black carpet. I guess they havent wash the carpet for over 15 years since the door opened a very long time ago. They cover the chair for reason, so they dont have to replace the chair that have been used since the previous owner. The staff are friendly, but the owner are really RUDE and unfriendly. I simply dont give any credit even the owner is well known in Chinese society. I would not come eat here if I dont have to. Horrible smell.

This is one of the best places for Chinese. I have come here a little over 10 years. Their prices are reasonable and although they used to give you more food overall before theres still a good amount. They have the best chow fun and shrimp I have ever had. Their egg ros and pot stickers are also the best ever. They used to have more exotic foods but sadly many of those were removed. I have tried many of their dishes and they are always great. They have quail, duck, jellyfish, seafood thats fresh and other great food including shark fin soup. I highly reccommend them!
