This is easily my favorite sushi place of all time--GREAT sushi--and they have Korean barbecue too! Often, my girlfriend and I will share a Korean BBQ pork and a couple of rolls of sushi, which includes several Korean side dishes. We always have food left over. But last weekend a friend and I went in for dinner and ordered the all-you-can-eat sushi for $19.95. Yes, they have all-you-can eat sushi at DINNER for that price. Anyway, the selection of rolls on the all-you-can-eat menu is fantastic, including rainbow roll and albacore delight roll, which is amazing. There are also several nigiri options for purists. We probably ate $75 worth of sushi for $40, so the value is phenomenal. The owner gets to know every customer, and always has a smile and a joke for us. The service is friendly, and there is a nice selection of beer and wine. Sujeonggwa--a chilled persimmon, cinnamon and ginger drink--is served after dinner, complimentary. Truly a wonderful dining experience.

I cant believe some of the poor ratings I read by people. As it turns out, the food was exceptionally good! IVe had home made Korean, and lots of great Korean in LLos Angeles, and this place was comparable. Between us we had great tempura shrimp and spring rolls to start + a delicious mung bean pancake. The mung bean pancake was so good we had to have 4 More! The tempura batter on the shrimp was so light an delicate and the spring rolls very good. One friend had the bulgogi steak which smelled great and I could see it was so tender no knife needed. Another had the bimbimbap, he very much enjoyed it. Another had lamb bulgogi that I tasted. It was wonderful! I always like the scallion seafood pancake at Korean places and this one didnt disappoint! Everyone took home leftovers. If you go, try a refreshing Cass Korean beer. Did I mention the waitestaff was friendly and helpful. If people dont like this place, its because they dont like great food served by great people!

Ive been going to this place since it was Takamatsu and I have to say it is still good food. I get excellent service there, and Im a "non-asian" as some of you like to say they only care about Asians. It goes back to the golden rule, treat others how you want to be treated or whatever, if you treat them with disrespect, which a lot of "non-Asians" tend to do towards Asians, they will treat you with disrespect. Remember, they didnt ask you to come to their restaurant, you chose to, respect them and their culture and they will treat you as if youre part of their family. I did notice that the sides were a little different than before but it just got rid of the ones we didnt normally eat anyways. If youre a typical "non-Asian" dont come here, but if you understand Asian culture and love traditional, authentic Korean food this is the place for you to eat.

My husband and I go here frequently. We also take our daughter occasionally. Not frequently enough to where they should remember us, but they do. They remember my husband likes a lot of sushi, the chef, and owner, remember I love one of the entrees I order to go. Every time, they ask, would you like us to start that for you in about 45 minutes? Some of these reviews are extremely hateful. Also, to bring race into it? I can say this: If you act like this in person, I dont blame them one bit for treating you how you deserve to be treated. I grew up in Alaska- visiting family in San Fran every holiday. I know fresh fish. Im picky. This place is awesome, and any one eating here wont be disappointed. Great Food. Great People.

Rick use to be the owner of this location. the best thing about this place actually. he made sure we were always doing ok, Ive been there a few times after under new ownership, the employees attitudes changed over night without him there, it seems like its a chore for them to get us water, I always feel rushed to order, also it seems like a pain for them to get sides. I now go to the real takamatsus in Phoenix and Litchfield park. this one in chandler still rocks the sign but this is definitely not the real deal. I hope that they take it down soon because Rick and his other two stores I mentioned, I wouldnt want them getting bad rep for this stores bad customer service.

I have been to a couple Korean BBQ places around the valley so far, and this has been the best so far. The wait staff was extremely attentive. They were quick to point out what items might be a little to spicy and our drinks were never empty. The meat was good quality, the pork was spicy and delicious, just enough to make your nose run, but not enough to send you screaming around the restaurant. The beef was sweet and delicious. They served 3 different kinds of kimchi with the meat, as well as other condiments. I have to say, the radish kimchi was spot on for flavor, and by far my favorite. Excellent, and will be coming back here often.

Went for all you can eat sushi...the waitress had a hard time understanding when my friend wanted a vegetarian roll so she sent the manager over and she definitely had alcohol on her breath. Also the restaurant decided to close early and notified us that they were shutting the kitchen down in about 10 minutes after we had only ordered our first round so they told us if we wanted any more sushi then we needed to order it right then. Not sure how this place is for the Korean food but the sushi was not worth the bad service as it barely had any fish in it at all... it was all rice.

Cross contamination of meats when the server placed them on the grill. Not all you can eat, as otherwise stated by another reviewer, so if youre coming in thinking its all you can eat, you will be disappointed like how I was. Sushi bar was also closed at the time of visit, so theres that. Quality of food is okay. They dont supply you with scissors to cut the meats. Service is also slow.

Awful customer service. I prefer Korean food over anything & love cooking but sometime just want someone else to cook for me. I found piece of metal scrubber in my food & reported this but no apology & told me to just take it out & eat it. However, I like to support small local restaurants the business but After getting sick 3 times from Kalbi tang/kalbi soup, no more eating at Ariran.

This place used to be one of our regulars until Rick the owner left last year. Service is horrible and you feel like you are bothering them while they all sit in the walkway by the kitchen ignoring you. Servers dont seem to enjoy their job - I had better service from the busboy. Food is good but the place needs a serious cleaning. Not sure how they are currently staying in business...

Just great Korean food and bbq! Pricing is decent for the quality of meat you get. I get the hot bibimbap with meat on it (forgetting the full name), but man, when they bring out that dish, I even forget about the delicious little side-dishes they start you off with for free. Wash it down with a beer, they got that cold, dry Asahi (oh yea), and youre happy for the whole damn week
