They served my 9-year old liquor in her kiddie cocktail because the bartender didnt know there was alcohol in Dekuyper Razzmatazz. When I asked the bartender what they made the drink with (because it clearly wasnt cherry juice) he said, "oh just this fruity stuff, its good". I saw it was Dekuyper while he was pouring it and even asked if there was alcohol in it, to which he said, "no". I worked in the liquor industry for 10 years and have even sold Dekuyper. I thought maybe they had made a NA version of it that I didnt know about. I went back to my table to Google it, but I knew what I saw and I had to see the bottle myself so I went back to the bar and asked them again about what they put in the drink. Bartender still said (matter of factly) there is no alcohol in it and presented the bottle to me. I had to point out the part on the label that says 16.5%/33 proof - he seemed shocked. For a restaurant to put a person behind the bar who does not know alcohol laws or what has alcohol in it is irresponsible. More importantly, dont argue with a guest. Especially when it comes to possibly serving a 9 YEAR OLD liquor. He tried to claim he didnt now it was for a kid and the server swears she told him. Either way, it was a kids cup, and when has a kiddie cocktail ever had alcohol in it? Manager was apologetic, but didnt really offer up a solution to the problem. Makes me wonder how many other kids have been served alcohol there.

Nope. We pulled up and the parking lot was empty. That should have been our first sign but we ignored it when we looked at the reviews which were decent, ok enough for us to try it with the Groupon we already had. The ambience in the place was bland and that matched with the menu. Small which is fine but when its a small menu and it takes you awhile to figure out what you want to eat thats never a good sign. The burger options were boring and with todays foodies that doesnt really work. O well move on and lets just try it. I order the bacon burger and my wife gets a salad. My burger came out on a wood plank which is my second positive thing about the place after the first being the local craft beer selection. Now the bacon on this burger literally didnt even cross the meat from end to end which is beyond a shock and didnt even look ok which after a bite I took off. Then the bun was dry and breaking a part. Needless to say I ended up leaving half a burger because it was not good and I honestly was concerned with how it appeared, hoping not to get food poisoning. Will update if that does happen. My wifes salad was lame but at least the dressing was good she said. To sum it up if this place was located in downtown Scottsdale or Tempe, somewhere with heavier traffic I dont think it would last.

See the pic? Thats how my toasted cheese (cheddar, Dijon, onion marinade) came. What a disappointment! Although the taste was very good, the plate had zero appeal (not a garnish in sight...not 1 parsley sprig, no lettuce, nada) and unbelievably sparse ingredients. Dining partner, on the other hand, had a burger which came on a beautiful wood platter adorned with garnish. > The ambience? Hardly any...an attempt at urban pub with room-long stainless steel bar, a few tables, concrete floor and stark white walls with zero decoration. As if to allay our thoughts about the place, the server said, "the tree dining room is beautiful." Really? The only change from the bar area, where we had been, were the white table cloths and the big fake tree left over from its previous owners, Pier de Orleans. > The patio? Hello!...This is Arizona & it gets freekin hot! Its a picnic table with nary a tree nor umbrella in sight located adjacent to two dusty gravel parking lots. > This place looks like they opened it on a very thin budget. Its too bad because the prices are good, and the flavors and uniqueness of food were very good.

This is an interesting little brand new restaurant that has very, very good food despite some apparent early growing pains. The bruschetta, which comes in 4 varieties, including the classic and salami and pesto that we had, is among the best Ive ever had. The clam chowder was different and filled with huge bits of clam. And the lamb burger was the best premium burger Ive had in a while. It was a little slow overall, from getting seated, to getting served, to getting our food, but not enough to prevent a return visit especially considering the place had been open for just about a week so well forgive a few kinks in the works... this time. Service was friendly throughout. The prices were reasonable to slightly high but the food quality justifies it. We look forward to our next visit when Id expect the works to run a bit more efficiently, and the food to be every bit as good.

Ive spent hours in five-star joints but am not afraid of an Egg McMuffin either. The place seems to be a dressed-up former pedicure establishment. It doesnt demonstrate a lot of committment to its fare, rather a desire to peddle its gastronomical wares to the travel weary. Obviously overpriced, under-invested but not a place to overlook; the dive next door is packed. You can hear yourself think at the Oak Room while eating mediocre food and drink flat beer while listening to the guy in the camo hat discuss the virtues of Marlboros over Camels. But, hey, its downtown Mesa. Next time youre in Monterey, CA, hit Crown and Anchor on Alvorado. Itll set the standard.

No ambience, room echoes like a subway tunnel, try a few wall hangings to muffle the sound. The Rabbit dish was tough(yes I know rabbit is difficult) so if you cannot cook it right , take it of the menu. Was so heavily spiced that the flavour of the meat was lost completely. The Ahi dish came with a wasabi crust, its only saving grace. The meat was warm on one side and cold on the other, Ive had better Ahi from a food truck. The grilled onion came out as one huge piece and was uncutable with the cutlery provided. All in all it was a wasted experience A Gastro pub this is NOT

Sean the bartender was great! Made the dining experience even better! Food was perfect! Kale Caesar, porkbelly tacos were great starters. Hard to find game on a menu, and this place has pheasant and rabbit, both were cooked perfectly and delicious! They had a lobster roll that was rich and life changing. I will be back to finish the menu. Great taps, great tequila selection, and whiskey. Any man that doesnt have a fantastic time here probably wears a romper, or has a bun on his head. Fact

We were seated quickly and staff was friendly but unfortunately very inattentive. Appetizer was okay but cocktails were below average while being on the upper end as far as price. During the meal we waited so long at one point for our server that I ended up walking over to the bar myself and ordering a drink. I got the prosciutto-wrapped asparagus and while the taste was good the asparagus itself was chewy and tough. I wanted to like this place but I dont see myself ever going back.
