So I was a fairly frequent customer at bento for a year. I went to pick up my usual roll, and when I walk in there is a line about 20 people long to pay. After I pay I go get my roll, and the server who handed it to me argued with me over the extra sauce I ordered because the hostess who took the order wrote it down wrong. After dealing with all that I finally get home and begin eating my food. 2 bites into the roll, A LIVE BUG CRAWLS UP FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROLL!!! I immediately squish it with my napkin and call Bento back with my complaint. I speak with 2 people and they both tell me the only thing I can do is ride 30 minutes back up there in traffic because THEY REFUSED TO GIVE ME A REFUND. I feel like if I get food with a bug in it, I should get a refund no matter what. NASTY, UNHYGIENIC PLACE WITH TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I probably will not ever be returning.

The hostess was rude, the service was slow, even though there were only a few other people in the mostly empty restaurant. I waited 10 minutes before a server came to take my order. And then another 30 minutes before I finally received my order. This really makes a difference when youre on your lunch break. But if that wasnt bad enough, I felt the food was extremely simple and under portioned considering the high price. A $10 lunch really should offer more, when there are so many better options at a lower price.

I worked here for about 4 months, and let me tell you, this place is a nightmare. The conditions in the kitchen are unsatisfactory. The owner is an ass who doesnt respect his customers or employees. The payment system is terrible and forces customers to wait in line. In the time I was there, 5 servers came and quit. The food is ok, but extremely pricey for the portion size. Do yourself a favor and eat elsewhere.

Horrible. Pissed me off. No sushi. Extremely slow. Soup and salad wasnt good. Order finally came out and was wrong. Then as I was eating what I did have ever they came and took my plate so they could put the shrimp on it they forgot. Said they couldnt put it on a separate plate. And they didnt apologize or offer any kind of discount for the trouble. I will never come back here.

Love getting Bento chicken boxes here as the portion sizes are perfect in my opinion. They have had some issues keeping a sushi chef there though so they may not be offering sushi when you go but their bento boxes during lunch and full sized dinner portions are definitely worth the visit.

I usually just get sushi. They have a few rolls that I love. The Spicy Tuna is great, very flavorful. The Salmon Roll is another of my favorites, it always has a fresh taste. I usually go when it first opens for lunch so my experience may be a little different from others

Food tastes good. Unfortunately the price is too high. In addition they do not allow you to substitute anything and if you want extra meat you are required to order an extra entree.

Nice quiet somewhat hidden gold mine of Tuscaloosa. It has a very good lunch special to go along with large sushi selection and amazing entrees.
