Ichiban has some of the best and most reasonably-priced Japanese food in Tuscaloosa, and the folks there are very nice. Definitely worth a visit. And dont miss their spring rolls. But be careful--theyre served to you right out of the fryer, so theyre extremely hot. Thats a good thing because everything there is very fresh. Ive been going there for years, and the food has tasted fresh every time.

Great food better prices. While the selection may be a little smaller than I am used to the definitely deal in very high quality and super friendly service. They will be my new favorite place whenever I am in town. (I make all my comparisons to this type of food and service to my 2 years in Okinawa, Japan)

Omg at first I thought looking at the place I wanted to take my wife elsewhere for her special birthday but the high rating made me give it a shot. The hibachi style shrimp and steak was THE best I have ever ate. Do not judge the book by its cover. I got a plate to go to eat later it was sooooo gooood!

Decent Japanese food for a fair price, beware the sushi portions are very small and they do not offer hibachi vegetables, only rice and meat so not very vegetarian friendly. Still though sushi is good just you may want to get 2 orders or a side to get full.

I cannot recommend this place enough! Their prices are fantastic and the teppanyaki food is just as good as a Japanese steakhouse. 2 people can eat here for under $20 and STILL have leftovers.
