As usual when I go for Mexican food, I planned to eat all my chips and salsa and take some of my entree home. Also as usual, I failed to take any home because I couldnt stop eating. The parking lot is rough, but the inside is immaculate. They did a good job renovating before opening. I came on a Sunday around 6pm, and based on the full parking lot I expected it to be packed. Instead I was seated immediately, had chips and salsa within a minute of sitting down, and what I suspect is a liter mug of Modelo a minute or two later. Ive been to the Daleville and Enterprise locations, so when I saw them open in Dothan, I knew I had to go for one reason: mole poblano! Though rich, delicious, and savory, its not a common dish. My food arrived a little later than I would have expected, but certainly in good time. As I expected, the mole was fantastic! There was a slight scorched taste initially, but I didnt notice it as I continued eating. The chicken was so tender that it fell apart as I forked it onto piping hot corn tortillas. I definitely recommend it! The staff was courteous and industrious. I definitely recommend that you try La Leyenda!

My experience was a bad one. The staff was nice and friendly and we were attended quickly, however, the food was disappointing. We ordered two of the best plates recommended by our waitress. A fish filet cooked by vapor (since I am on a healthy diet), and my husband got a "Parillada Michoacana", the shrimp had no taste/flavor. The chicken and steak had no flavor but instead tasted like it was cooked with my flavorless fish

My wife and I couldnt wait to try this restaurant when it opened up! The staff was great and very friendly. The drinks were very good. The food was horrible and very bland! The burrito had NO taste or flavor. The red tomato sauce they poured over it looked and tasted like speghettios sauce out of a can. We didnt eat our food nor did we accept a to go container. We just decided not to go back. We were very disappointed.

My girl and I went here for the first time today. Most of the Mexican restaurants here in dothan are very good. If you havent been here, you need to go. Top notch, huge menu selection, and for those of you that are addicts to good Ceviche, you have to try theirs . We havent found ceviche in all of dothan, and use to have to travel to a restaurant in panama city. We will be regular customers.

An awesome experience. They have different types of dishes when compared to every single Mexican restaurant ever. The jalapeno chicken is AMAZING. Love the atmosphere and the owner is very nice. Rodeo use to be my go-to for Mexican food but it has now been replaced. I dont think Ill ever go to Rodeo again so long as La Leyenda is open. As soon as they get their liquor license it will be A+.

This is only my second time. But its been great on both occasions. I honestly havent liked any Mexican restaurants in Dothan. Until I tried here. Everything is so juicy and flavorful. And the staff is really nice. I definitely recommend it. Only minus is those wooden booths. Theyre extremely uncomfortable

This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Dothan. Friendly and helpful staff. Good drink prices. The food is very good. I got the loco burrito and my wife got the la leyenda nachos and they were both fantastic.
