To start off, I am from out of town. I dont consider myself a "food critic", but I do have knowledgeable taste buds lol. After reading previous review, I decided to try out Goldengate; ordering the General Tsao Chicken seemed like a safe idea. The chicken was soggy and lacking the "umph" I was looking for; not enough spice and barely any veggies. The delivery was adequate, but the price was a complete overkill. I wish I could have tried the Szechuan restaraunt, but they had constant busy lines (probably for a good reason). Definately not the best, but could be worse.

I ordered here because it had good ratings but let me tell you I have never tasted such bad food before. First I was turned off because when the driver handed me the bag it smelled like a straight up ash tray Ewww I swear all my food tasted like cigarettes or weed one or the other. The egg rolls tasted old and I had to spit it out. The fried rice was very bland and not fresh at all it had a very weird taste to it. I gave it one star because I had to other then that I will never eat there again.

I really. Enjoy the crispy. General. Tso however i was really disappointed. With the beef they used in the lomein. ..It was of poor quality. And rubbery. ..I was shocked because i have ordered in the past this. ..And i think they changed their beef to a much lower quality. The inside of restraunt is hot...no a.c. Whatsoever...so order and pick up..because you wouldnt want to dine in. Oh and fried rice should be brown, not yellow..like Mexican rice

SAVE YOUR MONEY! We keep giving this place a chance, NOT anymore. Friday, 10/24/14 made the last time we will ever waste our money on food that lacks seasoning. They have bugs crawling on the floor and "off the street" looking people behind the counter & in the kitchen area.

Great place for carry out! The Pork Fried Rice is great. I usually have the PHO, chicken wings, beef lo mein, pork fried rice, and egg rolls. The rib tips arent bad either, but the best part is they deliver. For a while I was eating this once a week its that good.

Although they have on location dining this not the place for a sit down diner. However what is great about Golden Gate is their prompt service for carry out. Home delivery is always timely even when they are busy. They do take major credit cards.

im asian, so i know good chinese food. this food is delish. will order online for delivery again. i never went there so i dont know about decor, but it made me answer. muuuuuch better than bennys chinese food, which has a really bad aftertaste,

I used the eat24 app and it accidentally noted pickup instead of delivery. Im not able to drive today, so the restaurant delivered the food to my home. Thank you. I appreciate the excellent customer service.

Food Was horrible, I just threw it away, Ordered Combo rice, wings, dumpling, Gen two and tossed it in the trash… Sorry but just wasnt good at all, wasted 40 bucks

They are always friendly and deliver to Fairway Village in Waldorf. We enjoy the General Tsos Combo...but Im sure everything is good.
