Excellent food, fresh and prepared thoughtfully. The omelette are made of real eggs and theyre cooked perfectly. The coffee tastes delicious and the portions are perfect. I had the avocado, cream cheese omelette and I added bacon. Absolutely delicious and surprisingly packed with food. The bacon surprisingly stood out, not greasy and cooked like I would at home. My side of fruit was not a frozen afterthought... it was a cup of small chopped fresh fruit that I was able to easily eat with a spoon. This restaurant has a special tapas day on Thursdays and they offer pay it forward, where you can donate 2.50 to help feed people in the community. A great local spot, fresh delicious food and perfect portions. The place is a bit small so big parties may be difficult to accomodate. The service is friendly but also has a kind of.... informal feel to it.

I was looking for a breakfast spot in La Quinta and the Egg Cafe showed up. I had been there before so I thought it would be a great idea to go back. I looked at their Google Business page and they said that they were open. Upon driving 20 minutes to the business I discovered that they were closed for the summer. A business that doesnt maintain their digital presence has no respect for their customers. Will assume they are closed forever and never go back.

This was better than expected. The freshness of the food was worth the wait. If youre going in expecting ready made to order meals like McDonalds, go someplace else. If you value quality and freshness, go here. The wait staff was very helpful and even recommended the philly steak omelette with avocado. I took him at his word and tried the dish. The dish was so well done it made me wish we didnt wait until the last day of our trip to go here.
