To me, bad service can ruin an amazing meal. The food was really good, the prices were extremely competitive and worth the quality of the food. But my goodness the service was terrible. I ordered hot chocolate with whipped cream, it came out smothered in chocolate syrup. Blah! No big deal I mixed it into my drink. I order my food "Id like 2 eggs over medium." Cheryl (I think her name is based of the chicken scratch on the back of my check, could be wrong though as I never did get an intro when she came over to me) "and how would you like your eggs cooked?" Me: "...over medium...? I also would like an English muffin with cream cheese" some time later she returns and asks me what kind of jelly I would like with my English muffin.. "cream cheese please" she then brings my food out and there is a giant piece of ham sitting on my plate. So Im at this point aggravated that nothing I have ordered has been right and she can tell my distraught reaction as she sets it down and asks "what?? Whats wrong??" So I explain I never ordered ham and she takes the entire plate away and doesnt return for several more minutes with my food laughing saying maybe she should clean her ears out. The ham is now gone, but so is the hot temperature of the food.

As regards my opinion of breakfast only, the food is fine....I mean "Eggs are eggs," right?? Nothing that is really yummy (like the "migas" IHOP used to make, but the food is very inexpensive. The staff is A-1 and has no control of my complaint as follows: Because the food is cheap and served in big portions, all the starving hoards in the city eat here. Which means that in addition to most of the smaller tables being filled, there are almost always 2 tables of 8 people yakking unbearably loudly. (I never could understand so many people think it is a good idea for a mob of people to insist on sitting together.) The acoustics in this restaurant are just terrible, and in addition to the top-of-their-lungs gabbers, the bussing stations are near the dining room so that there is always the slam/clank of dishes being put into the bins. I usually go with a dear friend, and there have been times when we just gobbled our food and left because we could hardly hear each other. I wish that the management would attach those padded panels to the walls to absorb sound as some other places do. It would make a world of difference.

"What Are They Thinking" ? I tried to have Dinner here at 3:10PM Monday 5/01/17 (there were 2 other cars here also wondering the same thing) The door was locked and the sign on the door stated "Starting May 1st NEW HOURS 6:00AM-3:00PM.". What Are They Thinking"........just the Soup for Carry-Out with working people (after work) phoning-in their "Carry-Out" Daily soup and food orders. As a customer last week I was told they were changing their Rewards Program as of 5/01. No mention from anyone about the NEW HOURS. They have THE BEST GYROS IN TOWN and now we cannot get them past 3PM???? They offered BREAKFAST ALL DAY AND NOW THEY CLOSE AT 3PM?????? How about their GREAT PIE AND DESSERT CASE???? Who is going to buy pie at breakfast???? With only Lunch Sales what a DROP IN PROFITS THIS IS GOING TO BE. There are less and less "Mom & Pop" " PATRONIZE LOCAL RESTAURANTS" AROUND IN KENOSHA. I LOVE THEIR SOUPS .......AND GYROS, BROASTED CHICKEN AND STIR FRYS NOW WHAT? I eat my Dinner between 3-4PM.

The owner of this place is clueless of accomodating people with food allergies. Ive walked out of this restaurant several times. Im lactose intolerant and Ive asked for soup at 10:30. Of course its not ever ready. Yesterday i decided to give it another try. I asked for a hot roast beef. Of course the cook refused to make it. I walked out again. They can keep this restaurant. Cracker Barrel is so much more accommodating. I rate this establishment as Zero. They do have some good waitresses though. I will say that.

Love Hillcrest for breakfast, which Im not awake for very often! Large menu in style of typical Greek restaurant (a type and term well-known in the Chicagoland area). Food quality has always been great. I tried the other Greek-style restaurant a couple of miles west (the Phoenix) and was disappointed, even though Phoenix is practically next door to me. The parking lot is a little tricky to maneuver, but the food is definitely worth it!

Awesome place for eating breakfast at the dinner hour, or a steak for breakfast or any type of meal whenever you want! Typical Greek-style restaurant with a jam-packed page menu but all food is delicious! It does get busy on Sunday after Church hours so there might be a wait at that hour. Most servers are really friendly and often treat you like youre a regular, even if youve never been there before!

The Staff was friendly, Im New to the area. The portions are large, but the sides ( Cottage Chesse,Etc, happen to get me sick). I understand its not the waiters fault but the cottage chesse must had been frozen, and set aside, I was so sick. Its too bad, Now it will keep from revisiting them again, oh well, good luck to them, hopefully their check the food before serving it.

I LOVE bringing my 7 kids here! Its the highlight of their week when we get to enjoy our early bird special or our biscuit and gravy skillet (which is amazing). Staff has always been great and prices are very reasonable. If there is anything negative to say, its that their food is too good and Ive put on some extra pounds! Lol. Cant wait to go back soon!

The food is mediocre, but reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and helpful. Restaurant style is a bit dated but clean. Overall, not a destination but good enough if youre nearby and taste isnt a big factor. Major gripe: they dont salt the parking lot so spills are easy

The food here is amazing! My fiance, son & I went there and all of our food was delicious and didnt take long for the food either. The server there was very kind and helpful and got everything we needed during our meal there.

Hillcrest seems to be on its way down. Theyve cut their hours ( ow only breakfast and lunch) and discontinued their Senior Menu as well as their loyalty program. Still, they have great food at reasonable prices.
