The food is great, and I am a particularly picky eater, the service is wonderful, the waitress are friendly and helpful and always accommodating. The one blemish in their shining star happens to be the owner. He can be overbearing and, at times, unnecessarily rude. My mother, my sister and I went there one bustling Sunday morning for breakfast and the place was absolutely packed. We sat in one of our favorite waitress (Bonnie) sections and she let us know that it was hectic but she would be with us as soon as she possibly could. We said it was fine, we were in no hurry, and she could take her time. My sister pulled out a deck of cards and began to deal them to her and myself. The man who showed us to our seat (an older gentleman but not the owner) came by and laughingly told us that this was a restaurant and not a casino. We laughed, we had grown up in Las Vegas and a lot of the waitresss knew that, and he walked away with a smile on his face. A few moments later I saw him talking to the owner and pointing at our table. The owner came over to our table and asked that we not play cards, when pressed for a why he said that it "looked bad". We werent sitting around idly, looking bored and anxious and annoyed that our food wasnt coming. We werent sitting at the table fiddling with our electronic devices, we werent yelling or screaming, we were laughing but at a modest level. It was obviously packed and we were just trying to pass the time without bothering anyone. He made such a scene about our disrespect that we actually got up and left. We have been eating at this restaurant for three years, leaving good tips, and raving to anyone who will listen, but we had to walk out. I still love the restaurant, though, and I eat there.

Worst service that I ever have.when twice same service. We order food never was done. After 40minutes we decide to leave ask the waitress t cancel the order she said we cannot do that.Get home is the wrong order. Call the place answer and hang up. My brother y need waitress who really knows what they doing. I realize in this place I f y not a men dont spect good service.

Had the chicken noodle soup, open faced turkey sandwich, and mashed potatoes and gravy. Nothing was great or terrible, everything was pretty bland and the soup was very overcooked and mushy. On the plus side, the service was good and the menu is huge. Its better to serve 10 things that are really good than 100 that are average. Id go again and try something else.

This place has good food and good service but the service fails when the contentious politically centered owner is present. Business owners should not vocalize hard line political views in a place where people go to relax. I love the employee service and always tipped twenty five percent but no longer go their because of the owners loud contentious moodiness.

The food was mediocre at best. The service was worse, they messed up one of our orders and made him wait an extra twenty minutes. Our drinks were never refilled, and they forgot all of our requested sides (ketchup and hot sauce). Then the hostess was rude and told me I should have spoken up to get my hot sauce instead of waiting. Never coming back here.

I feel like the quality has gone down in recent years. Eggs werent fully cooked and my wifes skillet was precooked and then a couple slices of cheese were thrown on and not even melted. Honestly, its a cheap place, and the service is good... but it wouldnt take much to make an order fresh.

Weve been frequent customers of Home Run for almost 20 years. Great food, good service. Even when its busy, its worth the wait. Great family-run business with a casual atmosphere. Definitely our favorite family style restaurant in Kenosha!

Ive never had a bad meal or experience at the home run. Their food is always fresh, fast and filling. Service is great and the prices are great. Its hard to find a better breakfast than the chop steak and eggs.
