Some of the best Indian food Ive ever had. Took my girlfriend here for her first time trying Indian food and she loved it. Got the chicken tikka appetizer and came out fresh and tender on a sizzling skillet. Presentation was great. She ordered the chicken biryani at a 5 and I ordered the chicken vindaloo at a 10. Was not disappointed. Just the high level spice I expect from good Indian food. Our portions were great with enough to take home. We ordered a few types of nana so she could try them. All were great and warm and fresh. The service was a bit slow but thats expected at 830 with a low staff kitchen and while still taking delivery and take out orders as well. Nothing too bad to complain about. Overall there is nothing bad I can say about this place. Some chutney wasnt to my taste but thats just flavour and personal choice not quality. I dont know why this place isnt packed with hungry customers every night. They are clearly one of the best places to eat in town. But Im not complaining cause the calm intimate atmosphere was great. Seriously though, come out and eat at Indian Village. Im still sitting at the table right now writing this. Time to hurt my taste buds some more with this level 10 vindaloo. :)

For $11 Indian buffet seems like a great deal but the variety was significantly lacking. No samosas or tandoori chicken which imho are humble staples. The curries are done well; specifically the goat curry, they are the right amount of seasoning and tenderness. The naan, however, could be less doughy. I was told that coffee and teas are an extra $1.50 but then was charged $2.50 each when I when I went to pay. When I pointed it out to the cashier (the same one who told me the price) all she could say is sorry. I told them their chai tea was too bitter (Ive had many chai teas at many different restaurants; i like bitter teas...but they have to be fragrant. This was not) and of sadly all she said was that its how they make it. Or a small-size ish cup of tea/coffee I barely even drank, its a total rip off. I tipped them for their service but will probably not return as a customer. Have paid the same amount for much more stellar food and service.

Absolutely worst customer service and food delivery ever. We order two chicken curry at 5:30 and the estimated time of delivery was 6:32. We called the restaurant at 6:35 to see whats the progress on the food items and they told us that they just attempted to make it because they just saw the order. At this time we are extremely frustrated they told us to wait 15 minutes. Which would have been 6:50. We waited and waited and waited, still no food. Finally at 7:50 we get a call. 1 hour and 15 minutes extra later. We open the food and it was not the food we ordered. We called back the restaurant and they say repackage the food and the delivery guy should be there in 2 minutes to exchange the correct items. That 2 minutes turned into 34 minutes until we finally got our correct items. Again we ordered the food at 5:30 and didnt get to finally eat our food until 8:32 3 hours and 2 minutes later. Tell me what would you have done if that was you?

This is my go-to for fresh and wonderful Indian food. The owner is extremely nice, talkative and chuck full of information about the food. Her mother usually does the cooking, so what does that tell you? Its like being at home. I highly recommend the Thali platter. Go hungry if you get it. It is a wonderful spread of all vegetarian food. Their buffet is also one of the best in the area.

One of our favorite Indian restaurants in the greater MKE area... They have a great lunch buffet with options for both vegetarians like us as well as those looking for a meat dish... Try the spicy Gobi Manchurian (deliciously seasoned fried cauliflower) and enjoy a cup of chai and/or dessert after your meal (included in buffet price)! ;)

Worst experience. Went to this place looking at reviews. Felt all those are self reviews by them. Food is bad and basic etiquettes are not met. Below moderate hospitality. I expect restaurant management to oversee their staff activities and improve the quality of service that is being provided

Great food...Had dinner and lunch buffet on many occasions. Kids love the food too. Had Gujrati thali too. Very delicious and and its difficult to find anything remotely close to that in the vicinity. Reasonably priced and very friendly staff too. Cant ask for more.

Had Gujrati Thali. Very homely taste and well cooked food. Nice n cozy atmosphere. It has ample parking space as well. Double Thumbs Up for this restaurant. There are hardly any good Indian restaurants around Milwaukee. This one is head and shoulders above all others.

The food wasnt fresh at all. They had a lot of items on the lunch buffet but not even one tasted fresh and healthy. Need to improve on the quality. The food looked as if was cooked a week back and served today. Expected good indian flavors but disappointed .

My favorite Indian food restraunt in the Milwaukee area. Its very authentic and they have a great buffet on Sundays. Lots of Indians eat here too. The decore isnt 5 stars but I go there for the food, not the ambiance.
