EMPLOYEE STOLE CC NUMBER!: While dining with my co-workers at the lunch buffet (previously almost a weekly occurrence) at Thai Lotus on 30th and National, I unwittingly performed an action that taught me quite a lesson : I paid for my lunch with my debit card. Seemingly harmless, no? One would think you could pay for your meal, tip nicely, and not have to worry about the Thai Lotus employee stealing your credit card information, opening a fraudulent Ebay and PayPal Account under your name, and buying a pair of $300 headphones...but nope. Not safe to do at Thai Lotus. This employee must have bragged about her theft to another dimwitted employee who verified the purchase on the stolen card. Yes, a file is already started with MPD and I WILL be following up to press charges. I will tell anyone I come across NOT to dine at this restaurant...who rewards their frequent diners by stealing from them. Way to go, Thai Lotus...you totally blew it.

We were hoping for good Thai food, but unfortunately it didnt deliver. We ordered the Tom Yum soup with shrimp and the Panang Nua. Both were terribly over salted and over priced. The soup was the "hot pot" size ($10) and consisted of about a quart of over salted beef broth with a slight amount of chili, 3 small shrimp, and 1/2 cup of sliced button mushrooms. I cant image the ingredients cost more than $1.50. The Panang Nua was their version of Panang curry - typically a salty/sweet peanut-y red curry. The one we received was beige, thin as water, and tasted of salt - nothing else. To this they added cheap, stringy, thinly sliced beef and roughly chopped cabbage. It came with a pitiful cup of rice for $11. Again, the ingredients probably didnt cost 1/4 of that amount. Needless to say we wont be going back!

Disappointed by the customer service, the lack of sincerity and overall price/food. I use to really like them until I realize the quality is lacking. There are some entrees that were really a hit but over-time it has been lacking in quantity for the price and as well as the quality. The customer service has been a true disappointment overall. The guy who runs the restaurant treats customers like garbage. There should only be a set dollar amount for delivery but when its added to each individuals order, thats a rip off and unfair. Taking advantage of the working class looking to get lunch by taxing on delivery. That seems a bit low, because a tip would have been given to compensate the driver for their time and services. Go elsewhere for your business as this place does not care about its patrons.

Food is good but comes short of getting a good rating from me because of how much they give. You get on average two pieces of shrimp in your pho and they barely give you any lemons for it. Ive had two occasions where my fried chicken wings were undercooked. One time which was recent, the chicken wings reeked of an old smell. Almost like the chicken was around the corner from its expiration date. My mom thinks their pho is the best in the city, so we go pretty often. I am however, afraid to try new menu items. Their food is definitely not the best. Service is terrible. No smile, no dedication. Almost like, what do you want, here you go and boom. Its ok, but Ive had better in terms of taste.

I’ll try to keep this brief, because I hate being THAT reviewer and, honestly, why waste any more time than I need to. Of 2 entrées (the 3rd never arrived), 3 cucumber salads, and 2 appetizers, only the fortune cookie was remotely edible. Old produce, dried out chicken, and more sodium than the Great Salt Lake. Enough about the food, though, because that pales in comparison to the abysmal customer service Thai Lotus dishes out. The debacle that ensued, and time wasted over it, was enough to send me to my bully pulpit (as you can see). Buyer beware; you may be left feeling assaulted and salted.

Thai Lotus was a spree of the moment idea and boy did I hit the jack pot! There is such a variety here from Squid to Duck and everything ordered was made perfectly. Personally, I had the Yellow Curry Duck. The curry was a perfect texture and the Duck was mouth watering. My boyfriend chose a variety dish and had Squid for the first time to his complete pleasure. This is now our A number 1 spot for lunch. Additionally, the decor was adorable, waiter was the most friendly guy ever, and the price was amazing especially when you get A LOT of food for such a small price.

The Thai Iced Tea and Smoothie were delicious. However, the entrees seemed lacking in comparison to other Thai places. For example, the Kang Curry, while super flavorful, was mostly green peppers and onion. And the Pud Thai lacked the lime and abundant peanut that is present in most Pud/Pad Thai dishes...fish sauce overwhelmed the flavor. We ate a little...packed it up, and stopped at the grocery store to get the missing ingredients...squash for the curry dish and lime and peanut for the Pad Thai. We will be hungry in a few hours and will make it how we like it then.

Food is above average quality, I actually enjoy it quite a bit. They are routinely unavailable to answer their telephone for carry out orders. I would love to continue to give them business, however I am unsure they are interested in operating like an actual restaurant. I have seen them turn away a party of 6 prior to closing hours. This is not a 1 off occurance, and after many disappointing SERVICE related issues I will be ordering from somewhere who will actually be willing to exchange product for money. Dine in decore includes moped parked in dining room.

The customer service was horrible, the food was only a little better. We stood in the middle of the restaurant without knowing where to sit, later when we were ready to order, no came even after calling them multiple times. As we were finally starting to order the man told us the the "special" they had today was one of their best sellers. Therefore we ordered it. We took a bite, then spit it or because of the taste. Later the other two dishes we ordered we took it home, took a few more bites, then threw it away. I no not recommend this place what so ever.

Horrible service. Purchased two meals and a few drinks that came up to $33. They charged my debit card $333 instead of what it came out to be which was $33 only. The $333 got deducted out of my account so Im patient waiting for it to get deposited back into my checkings account. I recommend anyone to use cash only if you go there. Their service sucks. I had 6 years experience in being a waitress never have I came across this type of issue with my customers.

Delicious food. Everything has such a rich sweet taste. I love the pad Thai and crab ragoon. Service is usually pretty fast and the food is nice and hot... in fact, Ive burned myself a few times lol. Family run, so his servers are young. The service is OK but theyre always polite. I love this place! I try to tip good because the food is so cheap especially for the portion size. I always leave with leftovers and a smile.
