The food is still good for a reasonable price, but the service used to be much better. I live in Cudahy. Andreas always was a great place to get a quick meal in the area that is surprisingly good. In the past we have even eaten there with big groups of relatives around the holidays, birthdays, after school concert dance recital, etc. I have recommended Andreas as a great place to bring a family or a group and prior to this year I would have rated it 4 or 5 stars. Since the fall, weve had forgotten/incorrect menu items or the food took a little longer than usual almost every time that we have come. But our waitress was always friendly and apologetic and the mistake was quickly remedied. However, last Saturday we had an uncomfortable experience. After doing house projects all day, we were having a late dinner with our 2 kids. We arrived around 7:45pm. Our waitress was new, but she appeared extremely unfriendly. I had a sore throat and asked for green tea (which Ive had there before)- she didnt think they had it. When she asked if I wanted her to check if they had it and I said yes, I could clearly tell that it wasnt the answer she wanted to hear. When we ordered, I asked her opinion between 2 items. She glared at me, but then suggested the ravioli, which I really liked. My husband ordered the lasagna, which is his favorite item there. The food took a little longer than usual. By the time we got it, the tables of people around us had left and the staff had started vacuuming. We were starting to wonder if we had been forgotten about, but the food finally came and it was great. Then it all went downhill. The waitress kept bringing food to our table, but she never took any dirty plates away. We were sitting in a corner booth and had plates across the entire table for the whole meal. The waitress kept walking by our table, but didnt do anything when she came- she didnt remove plates, fill my husbands water, ask us how our meal was, or bring the containers we had asked for. (She did mention 2-3 times, "Oh, I need to bring the containers", but kept appearing without them). When our desserts came, there was no place to set the bowls, so we had to eat holding the bowls above the table or stack it on top of one of the dirty dishes. This was very difficult for my kids to do and they both got food on their sleeves and my 5 year old got food all over his coat. Shortly after the containers finally came (placed on the table beyond my reach), another waitress stopped by our table and apologized for dumping out the coffee- she didnt know there were still customers here. I told her, "Thats OK. We werent waiting for coffee- we were waiting for containers." She passed them to me with more friendliness than the other waitress showed us all night. The moment my son finished his last bite of ice cream and I finished taking care of the leftovers, our waitress stormed to our table In Her Coat and said to us, "Did you know that we close at 9pm?" We were speechless. It was 9:12, but as someone who waitressed during my college years, I know that you are supposed to serve people until they leave (not at the moment the outside door locks), but she is new and she probably doesnt know that yet. Plus, if she wanted us out sooner, she should have cleared away the dishes, brought the containers sooner, etc. I found the receipt under a dirty dish on the table- she must have brought it before we had received all of our food. While we paid our bill, our waitress marched past us and out the door. My husband joked that she must be late for a date or maybe she just doesnt like people. One or both of the statements may be correct, but there is no excuse for her rude behavior. When we left, the pile of dishes on the table was still there. I felt so sorry for that nice waitress that probably cleaned them up for her. We are going to wait awhile before visiting Andreas again. At that point, either this waitress will be more experienced or she will have moved on to a job where she doesnt have to serve customers.

The kids meals were bigger then a regular dinner and half the price. I had gotten the beer battered shrimp and they were tiny and my husband got the beer battered cod which were also tiny and it look like the sink was still on the fish and the size of the pieces of the fish was half the size of my son kids fish sandwich. The cod dinner also made the hubby sick. The waitress took my plate before I was done didnt ask it I was finished hubby should have gotten wedges and got a baked potato instead and never got the ice cream for the kids meal that it came with.

No me gusta el sabor de la comida Parece que comprarán el congelado en el supermercado y lo vendieran además la fruta del desayuno no se ve fresca. Los jugos son de botella nada es fresco ni se ve preparado en el lugar. Atienden rápido.

My wife and stopped here for dinner. When we sat down, the bus boy came with settings and water glasses. He accidentally dumped a 16-20 oz cup of ice water down my shirt into my lap. The host came over and asked if we wanted a different table. Uh gee, ya think? This one is flooded. He did not seem to care very much, saying "Sorry about that" once, but that was all. He never even offered me a towel.

Food is trash. The only reason I disliked it instead of hating it, is because of the service. I ordered a gyro plate one visit. It came to me overcooked and dry. When I complained about it, they took it back and just poured a bunch of olive oil on the meat. Seriously an insult. Better places to eat. Good service does no good without good food.

You would think when a patron gets a chicken bone jammed into the roof of their mouth, the manager would come over to see if your okay. Instead, they had the waitress sneak the bone away in a napkin, tell you " I will have the owner call you ASAP" and then pretend nothing ever happened, even when I called them.

Ive been to Andreas Family Restaurant many times through the years. I love their food, plus they give you large quantities. Youll be taking much home in a doggie bag to eat for the next two days. Wonderful home style atmosphere. Plus, I always get a nice friendly waitress.

Ordered poached soft (whites solid, yolks running), came wellpoached.. redid Perfect 2nd time. Like ham warm, not grilled & dry, came out Perfect 1st time. This is 1 & only complaint out of a 1000 meals. Thanks 4 hiring right cooks or chefs.
