This is hands down the best New York style pizza in the Portland/Vancouver area. Previously known as Aldos Pizza, NYC Pizzeria serves one of the most flavorful pies Ive had a chance to feast on. The cheese and toppings are high quality, fresh, and full of flavor. The crust and sauce are original, and more importantly, QUALITY recipes. As far as taste goes, this place is one of the best around. More specifically, the pepperoni pizza is unbelievably delicious, with considerable amounts of FLAVORFUL grease (the good kind) to blend with all of the fresh flavors from the sauce and the soft, chewy crust. Just thinking of this pizza is making my mouth water. Warning: These pizzas are HOT when they come out. Ive burned my mouth more times at Aldos/NYC than any other restaurant Ive ever been to. If youre looking for a bland, wasteful pie like Escape From New York style pizza, dont go here. If you want a pizza packed full of flavor, PLEASE give this place a try. You wont be disappointed. If you happen to be a snoot about cleanliness and atmosphere in a restaurant youll be happy to know it is one of the cleanest places around. The atmosphere is actually a bit sterile with the white walls and many windows. It doesnt matter when the food is this good. The service is excellent. The owner is an extremely kind man and his employees are always welcoming. I beg of you to try this pizza. They dont get nearly enough business (no advertising, terrible location for visibility, etc...). Go on... Get to it.

Im from NY and I just have to say, this isnt the NY pizza most people think of when they think of pizza. Its thicker than most pizza in NY. It is good though, its just not your typical NY pizza. The wings are baked, which is disappointing. Frying is the ONLY way. The atmosphere is nicer than most NY Pizzerias Ive been in. Most pizzeria back east look like high-school cafeteria. This place looks like a Panera Bread almost. I personally like it when a place looks like a dump vs a nice place, but thats me. So its probably the best pizza in Vancouver, probably. Im hoping there is another one hiding somewhere. Honestly though if you want authentic NY pizza you have to go to "Escape From New York" on NW 23rd.

Solid pepperoni pizza by the slice at a good price! And I am a HUGE pizza snob fyi, having worked in both NY and gourmet Neopolitan pizza for the last 4 yrs. New to the area and searching for authentic pie. Crust is good, maybe a little thick for NY pizza but good flavor, if anything a little doughy/dense but much better than most! Small beer selection but I think theyve made good choices :) I was served presumably by the owner himself and received wonderful, courteous service. Very clean, which I always appreciate! Ill definitely come back. Have to try the stromboli and gyro next time!

Although I have had better pizza where I grew up in New York, but this is the ONLY pizzeria in Vancouver that could sell pizza to New Yorkers. I have tried everywhere and the other places are beyond disgusting (unless youre the type who thinks Olive Garden is Italian, in which case, Im very sorry for you). The crust is thin, like pizza crust is SUPPOSED to be. The sauce is pretty good and they use real cheese. Basically, this is the only option for pizza in Vancouver.

I have no clue how this place has such good reviews. The pizza was decent at best. Everyone there had a thick middle eastern accent that we could barely understand. As we sat there and waited for our pizza we saw two people complain about their orders not being right. When we finally got our food guess what, it was wrong. We didnt bother having it fixed because it took so long to get in the first place. I definitely wont be giving them my business again.

I get Italian Sausage and Jalapenos on my pizza. Get this weekly. So good! $19 even for a large! The impression I get is, these arent "New Yorker Italians" - Seems to be a group of people really intelligent people that came together to make what would appeal most to taste. Hard to explain. Great ingredients, placed with care, never sloppy, never a bad pie. 10/10 taste when reheated in a toaster oven the next day. Never a slice thrown away!

Best pizza in the NW if you like NY style. The gourmet crap around Portland gets a little old, is overrated, and is definitely overpriced. The location has simple decor because were there to eat good pizza, and the service is great. My kids love it too, and they are your typical picky eaters. I agree with Paul as well. The negative reviews must be from competition. There is nothing negative about this business. Its just right.

A very good NY style pizza- refreshing change from the 10 pound gut buster you get at other Vancouver pizza shops. Service is impeccable- always friendly and appreciative of your business. We take-out from NYC Pizza as the decor is a bit on the uninviting side. Highly recommend the pizza- good crust and the right amount of toppings makes this a great stop. Gyros are very good too!

My wife and I walked in at closing time tonight without realizing they were closing until we were ordering. Extremely friendly staff, not pushy, or making us feel rushed. We asked for 2 gyros to go. When we got home, we had 2 of the best gyros ever. Jam packed with meat, sauce, onions, etc. Amazing taste, and they dont skimp on the ingredients! I highly recommend this place to others.

The best NY style pizza Ive had in the Portland metro area. The best of any pizza Ive had in the Portland metro area. The crust alone is so good you could eat it by itself. Great selection of toppings. Everything tastes so fresh. Singh, the owner its friendly, hard-working, and personable. Only complaint is that they arent open on Sunday. What am I supposed to do then?!?

Ive been living near this place for three years and never ventured inside. Its been my loss, as it turns out. Even just standing inside, the smell was amazing. We ordered gyros instead of pizza, and I have to say it was the best gyro I have ever eaten. Better than Fotis, better even than the gryos I had in New York. I cant wait to go back again.

Used to work across the street, and ate lunch there regularly. Ive been with a different job for over 5 years now, and live about 30 miles away. But when life allows me to be in the area, the owner still know exactly what I order. Even when I sometimes only get to make it in there once in a year!

Cheap pizza at somewhat-cheap prices. Really thin, uninspired pizza. A few TVs playing sports. Definitely not shooting for any kind of ambiance other than "you can eat pizza here." Beer was decently cheap, but not many choices. All in all, if I had to describe it in one word, "servicable."

My boyfriend wanted to find some NY style pizza and said NYC pizza is it. We love not only there pizza, but the meatball sandwiches - YUM! Its family owned and ran, everything home made and fresh. We get pizza and/or sandwiches there 2-3 times every 4-6 weeks. Great pizza!!
