This place is on par with Sol Food and no one seems to know it! The atmosphere is nice and relaxed and the flavors are outstanding! Nowhere else do you get such unique pork variations such as pork lau lau, or my personal favorite, the kalua pork. Did I mention their sweet chili sauce is to die for? It goes perfectly with every item on the menu and has just the right about of bite combined with sweetness and tanginess. Their spam musibi are delicious as well; the spam is coated in an almost caramelized bbq glaze. The price is right, the food takes 10-15 minutes to get because it is freshly prepared. No issues with me there, if I was in a rush I could call in an order. The people who work there are super nice and welcoming. I have lived in this area most my life and this is my go-to spot for a delicious meal every time.

The food was o.k. but they do not have the Hawaiian Aloha spirit. The shave ice was served without enough syrup to cover the bottom half of the ice. When I asked about it, the waiter said that "some people dont like it too sweet". If a person doesnt like sweet, they wont order a shave ice. I ordered it with a scoop of ice cream. There was about a tablespoon of ice cream at the bottom. I guess that is what they call a "scoop". They have lunch and dinner prices but there is no difference in the portions and nothing extra is served to justify the difference in the price. Oh, and the macaroni salad was not "Hawaiian Style", it was bland and dry.

Hidden gem that is my new favorite Korean/Japanese restaurant! We found this place via Yelp, impressed with all the great reviews and my husband loves squid, so we ordered that and the BBQ pork. Both dishes had incredible flavor and the squid was perfectly spicy. It came with steamed rice and 3 sides of a mix of kimchee and radish. So fresh, crunchy and delicious! We loved the sides so much that the kind owner kept refilling the bowls for us. Next time we go, I am trying the sushi and soup combo which a lady next to us ordered and it looked amazing. Thanks to the owner Young who treated us like family. We will be back!

First: quick and consistent; second: tasty with a variety to suit everyone(vegetarian options are limited, but the Hawaiian diet consists of mostly meat dishes); third: authenticity, I am from kauai and visit quite often, and to have quality Hawaiian rather than fast food L&Ls is a major benefit. The quality speaks for itself.; fourth: the price is right. Lunch around $8 and dinner about $11. Always gonna leave here full.

Small meat plates! If you come in alone , it will cost you double because they make you order at least 2 orders of meat! Its almost $60 It is best to come with a friend or 2! Good service!
