....I live in Gig Harbor and usually take my family to Purto Vallarta or however you spell it but anyway, i had to get a car charger for my cell phone and got one inside the mall. Since we were in the area i thought to just go give this place a shot. From the intruduction, it was awful..some manager talking to one of the employees really rudely, the hostest sitting people that came in after us, the waitress what a bimbo!! Such an idiot, im sorry but-Seriosly! The food- The most important part..Was so generic, So Generic..Honestly I did not eat..Served watery drinks, my son who is 3 years old wanted choc. milk..i looked inside and it was white milk..literally with some fake choc syrup and wasnt even stirred..My "Fajitas" The chicken was i swear to god fake! they served it on this skillet with the onions just steaming and sizzling right in my face..I was like WTF?? There is too much to list about how horrible it was....Please save your money..Go to Taco bell before you go to this place. I NEED TO SEE ABOUT A REFUND!

This place was awesome. The food was great, atmosphere prefect, our waitress was awesome! But the best part of our meal was the busser! That lady was amazing!! I swear that every time I ate a chip, another appeared in the basket. It was literally a bottomless chip basket! And she gave us like sixteen different types of salsa to dip, some of which she made right there on the spot! To top it off, she sang to us the entire time. What a voice!! Azteca, thank you, we will be back. To our busser, Corona, or Margarita, or whatever your name is; do you have any daughters? Between the ages 30 and 32? Just checking. Thank you. I will name my first child Luisana after you. Cause that sounds like a Mexican drink and I dont remember yours. Thank you thank you thank you

I gotta say we have always had a good experience here. Food is great, prices alright (although we usually go during the lunch hours - and it should be noted that they have no lunch menu on weekends). Service has also been good, and unlike the anonymous reviewer here, I like the sizzling fajitas! One bizarre event did happen to us there - when leaving my wife slipped and fell in the parking lot. There were many employees near her on break or something, but they all went running into the restaurant when they saw it happen. Must have thought we were going to sue them or something and didnt want to have any witnesses. She was fine, but I was a little perturbed at this lack of common courtesy.

Theres not really one place to start on how BAD this place was, the food seemed premade an sitting forever under a heat lamp, the sever I could barely understand an whom could not understand me, I never got my cocktail I ordered but it was sure on my bill, the other waitress seem like they didnt want to be bothered with anything an when I did get my food it was grease an just plain out gross, I did however ask to speak to a MGR an was WOWed his charming lack of I really dnt care because theres a soccer game on an Id much rather be siting watching that then helping a customer!!!! Its a wonder how this place is still open. Word to the wise DONT Waist your MONEY

The review by the disgruntled employee aside (entitled "Aztecas is nasty") my wife and I come to the Tacoma Azteca about twice a week. We became regulars BECAUSE the service and food quality are extremely high. If you have a concern they fix it immediately, though they rarely make mistakes. (By the way, regarding that other review, who but an employee would be able to claim mold in the kitchen? Wise up and grow up.) They will even make an order differently to suit your taste. Good Mexican atmosphere, good food, and in about 100 visits (no, really), we have never questioned returning.

We are new to the area, and it is hard to find a good Mexican restaurant. We had seen that this place was always busy so decided to try it. Went in early for an afternoon meal: Service was just OK bordering on almost being rude. Prices are very high especially for lunch. The food was beyond bland. On our way out, I noticed a lot of old gray-haired women dining...not a good indicator for a Mexican Restaurant. To top it off, when a homeless guy asked for something to eat while we were leaving, we were only too happy to give him our left-overs. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP!!

A beautiful place filled with wonderful people, decor, and the food & drinks. I has the seafood stew, and it was sooo good! I invited my best friend there for his birthday. I mentioned to my most excellent server(s) that it was my friends birthday and the brought out the Sombrero & sang to him (he loved that!) I have loved this place for years and have always enjoyed time there. If you want to impress someone important, bring them here and ask that they bring an appetite. We have been coming here for years now. Any reason at all and were at Azteca. They are also community minded, donating several coupons, each year, for free food to the Safe Streets National Nite Out, first Tuesday in August. Three years in a row . . and counting. Thank you Azteca for your grande generosity. Weekday lunch specials are very reasonable, both prices and portions. We always order enough to take home. Co-workers are always envious of the left-overs next day at lunch.

I enjoy going to Azteca for lunch. The atmosphere is relaxing and the prices are great. Where else can you get a meal for $7 and be too full to finish it?! They have a good selection of meals to choose from, it is consistantly good, and I never leave hungry. I have been to other Mexican restaurants and none of them match up to Azteca. I highly recommend this place!

I went there today and we waited an hour for our food to get here. And when it got here it was freezing cold. My son ordered rice and beans but he got french fries. They gave my mom the wrong margeritta and they gave me the wrong drink. We have been here many times but this is the worst. The guy asked us over and over if we were done and we felt rushed to leave.

Weve lived near here for years and have been here several times and have never been impressed. Went there last night at dinner time and sat in the nearly empty bar.They served us free chips and salsa right away and that was it. Not a single waitress for twenty minutes so we ate the free chips and left. Thats the last time we go here. Thanks for the chips though.

The food was amazing and the service was wonderful! A special thank you to our two female servers (terribly embarrassed that I dont know how to spell their names). I could complain about the bathroom, but the rest of the experience was so wonderful, it didnt matter. We will definitely be going there again. Thank you for the fantastic experience!

Fantastic food. Family reunion we all are VERY HAPPY with our meals, one part I didnt like was needing to remind waitress of requested items, (requested butter when ordering} and not asked if all was OK until we got her attn. But all were friendly and all meals were delicious One suggestion...... Stop closing locations :)
