Loved it. Were from Colorado, and Ive been having pregnancy cravings for some Mexican food. Got the Chile Rellenos, Chile Relleno Burrito, and Chips and Guacamole. Great value for the price. Awesome salsa bar. We loved the food. Good relleno, the chile was delicious and it wasnt eggy and came with a great sauce. My husband loved the burrito. It was huge! And the chips and guac were so good! Great chips, heated up with melted cheese and guac on top, it hit the spot! Great service as well. Well be coming here a lot over the next 6 months left of my pregnancy!

Frankly the size of their "Breakfast Burritos" was absurd. I was barely able to finish their potato, egg, and cheese burrito. And they sell it for 3 dollars? Ridiculous. The churro I had was fresh and delicious. 4/5 and not 5/5 because their tea dispenser (my first choice in refreshment, even if the tea is crappy pre-made stuff) was out of both the raspberry and sweetened tea, and had no unsweetened tea whatsoever (my favorite). I am fully acknowledging that for many people this wouldnt even be noticed, and is therefore a personal bias.

This is definitely a no-frills type of place. I ordered the chicken burrito and it was really tasty...what else could I ask for? If you go into this place expecting them to roll out the red carpet for you, youll be disappointed. But if you want some really tasty food at a low price, day or night, then youll love this place. They have a huge menu too, including breakfast (the menu says its served all day, so Ill have to stop in again sometime for a breakfast burrito).

Maybe I caught them at a bad time (lunch on a monday...) but there was one guy working, I had to wait probably 10 minutes to place the order. They charged me $1.50 more than the posted price on the wall, and didnt give me a drink, as was also posted on the wall. The chicken burrito was good, but the beans were incredibly watery. Maybe Ill give them another shot and update this afterwards.

Let me recount my experience of Memos upon first opening the door: 1. SUPER LOUD MUSIC 2. Strange smell 3. Being panhandled for spare change in less than 5 minutes 4. Cheap food with indescribable meat 5. Being panhandled for spare change right outside the door. I was a reasonable man before coming to Memos. I had zest for life, hopes, dreams, and aspirations. And then I went to Memos.

The food is what gets the four stars. Although sometimes its too loud in the place to have a standard conversation. To me personally one of the staff has an issue with me, (why, unknown, attempts to find out unconfirmed). And the restroom (mens) is.in less than hygenic conditions nearly always so if you dont have to use the facilities you might be in for dining enjoyment.

Always a great Mexican food choice. The Ave can get kind of busy at night, so be prepared for a long line of drunk people ordering food, but they still get through it super quick and I dont think I have had anything that was sub-par. They also have a sort of hidden menu that the football players from campus always order, so make sure to ask around for some new things.

Some of the best authentic Mexican food Ive tasted, and I know Mexican food! I dont understand the other reviews here. Huge portions. They absolutely STUFF their nachos and burritos with meat -- no cheap rice and bean fillers. The steak is very flavorful. Great homemade tortilla chips. I would like to see fresh chunky salsa added to the menu though.

If this Memos is anything like the Memos in Springfield, OR, I am SO looking forward to it! Nobody has mentioned the homemade Mexican whiskey, so maybe its not the same, but I will definately try it when Im there in a couple weeks. If you ever make it to Springfield, OR, try the Memos here, and try the whiskey, its the best stuff Ive ever tasted!

Things have really changed there. During the day, a very mean woman works the counter. At night the guys run the place, they dont keep up with the salsa bar, ice machine or cleaning up. My Husband has gotten sick the last 2 times we went, he ordered the Cheese Enchiladas. Rethinking eating there again. What a shame used to love that place.

I love this place! This is great Mexican food and it is always delicious. The prices are surprisingly reasonable, and the staff is very helpful and courteous. Its kind of a hole in the wall place...but those are where the best restaurants can usually be found!

Huge portions of authentic Mexican food. I moved here from California and cant stand what passes for Mexican in the Pacific Northwest. The meat should be the star of the entree not the filler. The carnitas and carne asada were both tasty, moist and plentiful.

Coming from San Diego, Id never expect to find good, cheap Mexican food in Seattle. Memos not only provides good, cheap Mexican food, but it also brings me back home. The Washington burrito is my favorite, its practically a California burrito. 5 stars.

One cook running the whole show. Did a nice job. Food quality is good. Area of improvement, the mens bathroom is rated a D on a grade scale A to F, how you let it get that bad is beyond my imagination. All in all, for takeout I recommend them.

If you can eat here without getting sick I am sure its fine. If you have leftovers note the large amounts of grease that come out as it sits.
