Tamale de Mole Oaxaqueno - nuff said. Its legit, with a thin layer of masa and a generous chicken (or pork) filling, steamed in a banana leaf. We were in for lunch and sat at the bar, though no mezcal for us. The jamaica, the days featured aqua fresca, was terrific. Service is friendly and efficient. Next time, Im thinking carne asada tacos and pozole. Word has it they also recently got a permit for outdoor seating, which will be great for sipping margaritas in the sunshine and people watching.

I had the crane Assad burrito. Its pretty big so I would recommend sharing one with another person unless youre really hungry. It tasted pretty good. There arent many ingredients in the burrito -just meat, rice, beans maybe thats how authentic burritos are,not sure.I asked if they could add some lettuce.I enjoyed the spicy green sauce that you can get yourself from the counter.I also noticed that the water was tinted slightly brown although it tasted fine.BRING CASH!!!

Heck yes this place is authentic as it gets! Im from SoCal so I know Mexican food and this place is the bomb diggity!! Love the mole tamale! Love the tacos pescado (3 fish tacos)! Love the many tequilas they have, not your average selection at all. Its not your big bomb heavy mex food place its quality Southern Mexico food. And it is amazingly good. And yes its the same as the one in Ballard just a little different.

Ate there for dinner last night. It was excellent as I would expect if the ballard one was any indicator. We had carne asada tacos, the tacos al pastor (they arent called that on the menu but its basically the same), and some other dish I forgot name of. Fresh chips and guac was excellent. I probably wouldnt go if you are in a huge hurryas they were packed, but good atmosphere and great food.

Pretty good! I am from South Texas so I am used to good Mexican food. The Oaxacan food here is a little different, the beans were not refried and had more flavor. I had the tamales verde and the tostadas. The tamales were good, a little more moist than I am used to but not just the corn and no filling like some places I have tried here. No chips and salsa for free though :(

Had lunch there yesterday. It was the second time Ive been there. I had some kind of mole tamale, which came in a giant banana leaf that Im not sure how they expect you to manage. The mole was overly sweet, the food over-priced and even though I was practically the only person there, they couldnt be bothered to refill my $3 soft drink once. I shall likely not return.

Perfect, authentic, amazing, delight, food. I am going down the menu and ordering something different every few days, for weeks now, and I have never been disappointed. I would say it is the best of its kind in the entire state. Better than a plane full of politicians being struck by lightening over the pacific ocean, and vanishing in a puff of hot, smoky air.

Im a local, went for late night happy hour. I had tacos and rice and beans, which were ok. The best was the quesadillas fritas (fried quesadillas), which were really good and satisfying. I love the atmosphere of this place and the friendly attentive service. Will be back to try the dinner menu, which I suspect is much better.

The decor is authentic and interesting. The open front section is breezy and laid back. The service is quick and efficient. But dont come for any of that. Come for the food!! Some of the best spice Ive had in Seattle, and tequila in all its various forms. Ill be returning soon.

Great, delicious, authentic Mexican food at very good prices and friendly service. Small restaurant but with a good vibe and pretty easy to get a table. Great salsa bar in the back. Have yet to try their drinks but an extensive Mezcal list, including a Mezcal tasting option.

Same awesome flavors as the original. Stuff you wont get anywhere else in Seattle. Just had their enfrijolada with an awesome anise-flavored black bean sauce and enmoladas with a gorgeous mole sauce. Salsa bar is a great bonus! Oh and cant forget - incredible margaritas...

This is not Americanized Mexican food. You wont find burritos or quesadillas on the menu but its absolutely wonderful food. I highly recommend this place. Its usually pretty busy, and doesnt have a huge dining room but dont let that turn you away bc the food is

First time here, so this isnt comprehensive, but Im eating the best pozole Ive had in years! The broth is so rich and full of chile flavor. I will definitely be back to try more things from the menu and some mezcal too!

This place is awesome. Authentic Mexican food, Great customer service! Try the SUPER crispy tacos, first shell fried crisp with cheese on it wrapped in a second softer shell, hella good with their green sauce. WOWzers.

This place has awesome margaritas. Their tacos are of the smaller variety, the size you would find at a taco truck but they are delicious. Price wise I thought it was a little high but overall really enjoyed the food.

Such a great little Mexican restaurant! Food is great and service is excellent. They get packed at dinner time so come early or look for a spot at the bar and watch her hand-make the tortillas :)

Not sure where all the good reviews came from, food was poor, portion sizes tiny, and the drinks/ food was expensive-especially for what you get. Wont be going back.

Portions are fairly small, but service is extremely fast and friendly, drinks are good, and the long group tables are great for impromptu get togethers.

Try to the sopa de mariscos. Nice spicy kick that warms your soul. The Mezcal is an acquired taste that I have definitely not yet acquired. Smoky!

Good food and drinks, but its more spendy than its competitors which is why I frequent this place infrequently...Happy hour would help.

Good authentic Mexican food. A little pricey, small portions. Clean and small eclectic restaurant in the trendy upper Queen Anne area.

Smaller proportions than most places but the flavours are great and the service is always spot on. Theres a salsa bar in the corner.

Very limited menu. No flexibility. Only corn tortillas. A bit disappointing after seeing all the good reviews.
