This was one of the worst restaurants I have been to. The Japanese food was awful (the menu was extensive and expensive, but they also serve Thai and Chinese style food.) Awful and expensive. Whoever wrote this was affordable and tasty must be related or a friend of the owner. The service was good, the fountain drink became my main focus. The miso was OK, and acceptableness stopped there. The sushi rolls were terrible, bland and the rolls were not distinguishable from each other, non-authentic wasabi (it wasnt spicy, and wasnt paste, very wet,) the tempura was strange and chewy, so my "crunchy" roll was not crunchy at all, which would have been OK, but the sushi rolls were tasteless and the fish soft and strange, the sake maki roll was no better, despite that it wasnt soiled with "tempura." It was very disappointing and the bill was insulting. I have been to sushi places where the rolls were not well made, but the taste was fine/good, and that is OK with me. Frankly, I am worried, because as I said this is BY FAR the worst "sushi" I have ever had, here is hoping I dont get sick, I have been to dozens of Japanese places and I cannot fathom how this food ended up this way. Our bill was $54 for what we pay $30 for at Ichizen. I hope Ichizen opens again soon! I feel bad, it seems this place is family run, but even with the possibility of another chef at times, I fail to see how the ingredients would be any different. The cost and lack of quality taste nor texture make this place one to avoid if you are seeking even OK Japanese food. If you go, I strongly recommend against ordering Japanese food.

Overpriced, overcooked and made extra greasy each day from last weeks trash-grade ingredients, this once exceptional establishment is now another travesty of a fine diner that has fallen from grace. I shall NEVER waste my time or money on this poorly managed has-been. Note: they still get jam packed at meal hours though, so dont expect fast service either. Why have I had enough? Its because I waited 20 minutes in an empty restaurant for a limp veggie stir fry with the worst tofu and so much bad oyster/fish sauce that it smelled like low tide. Ya, their cooks just dont care anymore! Its been 3 years since Ive had a good meal at origami sushi. What a shame.

I went herr months ago for sushi...which was so terrible I threw it out rather than risk food poisoning. They sent me a gift certificate for 20 to get me to come back...today I ordered chicken lo main, pad thai, and crab Rangoon. The only thing worth eating was the pad thai...and even that is incredibly greasy, and came with a rotten lime wedge. The lo mein,is actually Chow main, and was so undercooked that the noodles were hard. Re crab Rangoon were mooshy and soft rather than crunchy. I wont be going back.

I havent had sushi for over a year. It was rough! My BFs housemate said Origami Sushi was the best. It totally was! There selection is solid all the standards and some original rolls. The fish is super fresh, prepared well. Totally recommend. They also have some other options like Mongolian bbq for non sushi eating bystanders (like my bf). Be aware though.. For some reason they are closed Tuesdays. But make up for it by offering delivery! Sushi in your PJs!

This place is cozy and has the appeal of a neighborhood hangout, but it has some room to improve. The sushi is good, but I typically just go for California or veggie rolls. The place smelled like old fish and the entrees heavy on noodles and rice and sparse on quality veggies, but any meat I try is tasty and the drink selection is also great. The atmosphere is young and vibrant, so its easy to get past the fish smell.

Absolutely the worst sushi i have ever had. They use seaweed that is rubbery and the absolute worst part is the place is filthy. After using the restroom when we were done eating was enough to make us throw our leftover food in the garbage. We even spoke to the manager about the disgusting conditions and his attitude was one of not caring. This place is over priced and a health hazard in my opinion.

I have lived in Texas, Florida, California, Mexico and now new to WA, always have loved Japanese food and decided to try this place for the good reviews. Big disappointment, sushi rolls have no taste, tempura tastes like it was fried in old burnt oil. Not coming back. The place is old and falling apart.

My glass was dirty so I had it replaced, then both of our plates had visible traces of food on them so I had those replaced as well. The service is bad and to make it worse the fried rice had so much oil it was dripping off of it. I do not recommend this place at all.

Food is varied, interesting and fairly priced. Sushi and sashimi are always fresh and wonderful. Many different types of dishes (Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean) and beverages are available. Something for everyone and all of it good. Best sushi in Kitsap!

The smell and cleanliness wasnt the best, but their service was great and their food AMAZING! I ordered their Shanghai noodles, and my girlfriend got some different kinds of sushi off of their menu. :) Awesome place

Not impressed. Prices are ok but all sushi tasted the same and was bland to me. Also noisy restaurant bc of the owners talking in Asian loudly. Im going to somewhere else next time.

I think the waitstaff were great, were attentive when needed but not overly in your face. They even have the marble soda, something I hadnt seen since Japan.

We like the dynamite and other salmon/tuna based rolls. Edamame, green tea both good.
