Ive lived in Magnolia my entire life. For years I walked and drove by this little cafe going to school or work and always wondered what the food was like. One day after school I made up my mind to eat there. First off the staff is incredibly nice and down to earth. When I ate there I noticed that they knew many of the customers by name. There were couches and seats everywhere, it felt comfy and comforting. I got a whopping foot long Philly Cheese steak, it definitely was huge and I felt like I was going to burst after having it (Ive only had six inch sandwiches since) but it was sooo good! I find myself there once every week or so and the staff are incredibly nice and once when I was walking by there the owner recognized me and we had a nice chat where he jokingly asked why I wasnt in the store that week. If you want good food, great service and wonderful people who will remember your name then I would highly suggest The Blue Heron!

Christopher, you have the wrong place the condos are about a little less than a mile north on the way to discovery park. This is a very casual cafe with espresso. Its a come-as-you-are kind of place, attracting both contractors and business people. They are known for their sandwiches, and their is usually some tasty soup as well. The owners are friendly and know the regulars. Theres a great little deck when the weather warms up. With Discovery Park just up the road you are probably going to see Blue Herons, if not eagles, bird hawks and humming birds.

I am interested in one of these condos; I called to ask about the parking situation. What sounded like a young teenaged girl answered the phone, who was unable to answer my question and didnt care to seek out the answer for me. When I asked if there was someone else there who might be able to help, she said her boss could, but he was busy, so I should call back later. I wont be calling back later.

Had a Philly on my way to discovery park, unique sauce, decent flavor. Starting having stomach discomfort as the day went on. Woke up with severe diarrhea at midnight and subsequent nausea, which I attribute to the Philly cheesesteak from the blue heron, an otherwise friendly family establishment.

Asked for iced coffee....she didnt understand English enough to complete my order. Didnt tell me until order was complete that the tea we ordered for my wife was not avaible and did not offer any other options. More worried about making other orders and rushed us out with the wrong order.

I work in the neighborhood and strongly recommend the Blue Heron to everyone I know! The service is always great, whether dinning in or taking out. On a cold day you cant beat the TBAS on sourdough! It is warm, toasty wonderfulness. Mmmm. Is it time for lunch yet?!

I thought it was good when it first opened. Then it changed hands, and I got sandwiches which were okay, but nothing to write home about. The other problem is they close too early to provide us with a dinner sandwich when we want one.

Love these folks. I always get the breakfast croissant, which tasty though it is, I really should try their other sandwiches.
