We are visiting Seattle and decided to give them a try. Disappointing describes it best. Why is it that restaurants such as these Indian Chinese Thai and the like cant grasp the idea of basic hospitality or service still boggles my mind. Our server never once smiled or made us feel welcome. We ordered vegetable samosa for appetizer, oily crust and bland so so filling, not good. At this point my wife and I knew where this was headed. Next we were very specific with our order, house salad and dal soup first followed by chicken tikka and plain naan. Could not even follow basic instructions. Salad came, but no soup and the salad was a mess taste wise. When I was finally able to wave her down regarding the soup her reply was "oh the soup should have been delivered to you" Oh really, how about replying "let me check on that for you sir" instead I got a lame excuse. Still ten minutes later, mind u this is soup in a bowl, finally arrives. But wait 60 seconds later the main course is here. At this point we had been there over an hour and there were only 3-4 tables with customers, hardly busy with 3 servers working. The food was overall bland, greasy and average at best. Combine that with horrible service and unfriendly staff, we will not be returning nor would I recommend this place to anyone. Cheers!

This buffet serves Indian recipes and continental salads. The cutlery/Plates/dish (excluding the boundaries) are small & confusing and rather inconvenient for serving recipes with gravy. As far as recipes with gravies are concern, they taste all the same. They do not only taste all the same, they leave a long lasting aroma on your hand for long time, even i used fork and spoon. I tried washing my hands with soap bar, liquid soap, could not get rid of it. Common, oil is only used to preserve the substance for long shelf life, preventing it from rotting, if we claim food is served fresh, why there is a need to put so much oil, clearly visible on ceramics surface, when one finishes the food. If you are looking for food that belongs to a typical Indian culinary, food here does not represent it. May be shefs are under pressure to maintain the mildness but curry pakora taste just like chana aallo ? The only thing I would like to try here is very tasty (but little sweet) preparation of Deserts, especially kheer with almonds. Restaurant environment is spacious and OK and Location is accessible.

Really such high rating?! Their tandoori chicken smelled so bad, it reminded me of bad Indian food I ate in Quebec City 6 years ago! I forgive them for the pale looking Dynamite Shrimp because its out of the league of Indian dishes. But then came the dish they call the "Royal Biriyani"! Oh man really?? Do whatever you want but for heavens sake dont call it a Biriyani. In fact its not a remote cousin of Biriyani. Its like someone just mixed some chicken curry with leftover rice then added nuts and raisins! Stop demeaning or presenting a degraded version of Indian foods. Let alone the not perfectly cleaned dishes and way overly priced food. And yes, good that you didnt serve your Shahi Paneer to the Kabul Shahi dynasty. They would have banished this restaurant for a hundred years. Adding lots of cream to a curry doesnt make it Shahi. Interestingly I havent recently been to any place like this where all dishes I tried were so bad!

Its very unfortunate that a place with very good food can have the worst service I have ever experienced in my life. When my significant other and I stopped here for lunch and it was not very busy at all. It took 20 minutes after being seated to even meet our server and when they poured out water there was black chunks in it. When we tried to get someones attention about the black chucks in our water workers walked by repeatedly and ignored us. When we finally got our food we were then ignored for the remainder of the meal and when we tried to pay and leave after the meal it took 30 minutes for them to give us a check and process it. Again there was barley anybody in the restaurant, there were more servers and bussers on the floor then customers. Rude, unsanitary inefficient and ignores customers. Very disappointing since the food when it actually came was very tasty but because of service we will never be coming back.

I was expecting this place to have good food as per the reviews I read, but to my disappointment this was not the reality. The food I ordered was tandoori chicken and chicken tikka curry. The tandoori chicken which is supposed to be a juicy grilled chicken marinated in spices and grilled was cold and dry and the chicken was coated in food color to make it look red, that made it look less appetizing than delicious. The curry was ok but nothing great. I have eaten at various Indian restaurants and this place in my opinion was below standard in terms of tastes and freshness as the chicken tasted like previously frozen and not fresh. I would definitely not be coming to this place nor recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.

I have gotten the buffet to go a couple of times from here. Its not the best Indian food I have ever eaten, but it was decent. The price for the buffet was reasonable (about what you would expect, and what I had seen before), and the staff was friendly. One time I was in right at open, and they were a little disorganized as they set everything up, but were apologetic and friendly. Overall, considering its location right near the convention center and the tourist traps downtown, it was more authentic, cleaner, and friendlier than I would have expected.

I have only rated this establishment a four star because I did not eat in the dining room. We enjoyed a fabulous meal and a couple of beers at the bar. The bartender was friendly and helpful. We ordered the garlic naan and chicken tikka masala, both of which were prepared exactly as expected and very delicious. The beers were icy cold and the shots were appropriately sized. For a downtown Seattle restaurant this was priced as expected. The restrooms were clean. Overall a five star experience.

Came in for the lunch buffet and the food was just terrible. The potato bhajji was spiced completely wrong, the chicken in the curries were all overcooked and badly spiced. In fact very bland and odd tastes were a theme across the board. The biriyani too was tasteless and did not have the makings of even a moderately good biriyani. To end it all the dessert, a carrot halwa, was not sweet had an odd texture and had undercooked carrots. Left the buffet still hungry. Terrible experience.

A good place to eat authentic indian food. Loved the place, food and the service. Finally I got Keema Samosas at a restaurant, and it was delicious. Ordered a couple of Curries and naan and Biriyani, and asked them to make it spicy. AND IT WAS SPICY, unlike the other Indian places where Spicy means you can get a hint of chilli. They have a happy hour menu which is really interesting and has some good and cheap choices. Will definitely visit the place again.

The worst thing about this place is its Music, no body listens to that music around the world anymore. My serious advice would be to update the Playlist, there are a lot of soothing and melodious music which is new and better. The good thing about the restaurant is the food, try their Samosas, Aaloo Tikka, Chicken Tikka etc. One more thing, the bartender is really friendly and awesome. Enjoys chatting and have a sharp memory.
