Ive visited this place for going on years now, they have shown my art and they love supporting local artists! The cupcakes are great! Ive tried almost everyone, they have a nice traditional range with some twists, still my fave is the velvet elvis and the red velvet (i never thought id actually like red velevet). Coffee is very good too and a great variety of designer sodas and breakfast sandwiches. What sets this place apart from the rest is the absolutely awesome staff, I love them all, and the fact is they get a very busy local crowd which is super family friendly, always a sweet dog to say hi to outside. This place has great energy, and feels like a genuine functioning coffeehouse with added child appeal.

Ive had a lot of good experiences with Cupcake Royale. Cupcakes are definitely a food that is often connected to memories, especially when the cupcakes are as good as these are. For my first birthday away from home, my parents had a dozen of the Spicy Chocolate delivered to my door. I smuggled a Salted Caramel into a movie next door to the Ballard store. I snagged a couple of Coconut Lime minis as a comfort to me and a thank you to my friend after my trip to the ER. Good cupcakes are perfect anytime, and Royales are really good.

We ventured all the way from the waterfront to catch the critically acclaimed cupcakes, rumored to be the best in the national according NPRs Splendid Table. Cupcake Royale lives up to the hype FOR A CUPCAKE but keep in mind it is a cupcake after all. The red velvet cupcake lacked flavor in the cake part but the frosting was perfection. The cake part was also dry and grainy.On a previous visitin I ordered the pumpkin cupcake and was in love. I highly suggest the pumpkin, its packed with flavor and moist.

This seemed like a special treat after playing at the park across the street but I was disappointed to find that there were only two flavors of cupcakes and some cake pops. Oh, well, my kids were hot and wanted ice cream and somehow convinced me to buy an $8 pint. I really appreciate that theres at least a little kids area with books and coloring and the woman working was very kind.

Out of all the cupcake places to go in Seattle....Cupcake Royale is by far my least favorite option. The cupcakes are super dry and the frosting is sickeningly sweet and hard. I could make better cupcakes from a box. If youre looking for delicious cupcakes go to Trophy or better yet Yellow Leaf! Cupcake Royale is a major let down.

Of the Seattle Cupcake Royales this location is the best since it isnt super busy and parking is actually possible. They usually have a good stock of the cupcakes here since it isnt a hot spot like the main one. Its usually nice and quiet here so you can get your cupcakes in peace.

Definitely not the best, would not even consider them to be good. The cake is very thick and bland whereas the frosting is over sweet and hard. Not sure why there is hype about this place, they are sub-par. Totally one of those "I want my money back" experiences.

Came in to access internet and always get coffee and something to eat. Dont think I will come back; the music played was much to loud and hard rock for working. I noticed most people did not stay if they came in. Should be a bit more customer friendly.

I visited Cupcake Royale while I was in Seattle in the summer of 2009. By far the most delicious, moist cupcakes Ive ever eaten. Theyre so beautiful looking too. The frosting isnt too sweet either, its all just perfect. <3
