Sea Ride

Location: Sitting directly at the Mt Baker Station, this shop is the very definition of convenience. There is abundant two hour parking just around the block as well. Ambience: The interior is deliberately spartan, yet welcoming. Expansive windows cover half of the wall space, allowing natural sunlight to illuminate the interior. The cloud-tinted seattle sun pours a naturally muted, almost friendly light into the shop. Plain, yet welcoming furniture brings a sense of comfortable zen into the scene. Finally, the backround music is well chosen and unobtrusive. Youll have no trouble quietly conversing with friends or simply working with headphones on. (personal note --> I abhor obnoxiously loud music in public establishments. Low-key music is a big deal, and just highlights the charming nature of this charming establishment.) Coffee: Whats a coffee shop review without coffee? This brew is somewhat strong, but not overly so. Its somewhat of a breakfast table variety, with a notable kick to briskly start the day. Its also very well priced, at $2 for a large cup of plain black. For a premium location, thats an achievement. Conclusion: Im one of those people who seeks out the coffee shop specifically for ambience. I like to relax and enjoy a book or get work done. I dont like sitting in overcrowded, loud places. For those seeking a simple getaway from the hectic, overloud city atmosphere, compadre is the coffee shop for you.

Great atmosphere and staff. Lemon bars are the best. This is the best cafe in Seattle. It embodies the calm and homemade qualities many chic cafes aspire to. Aubrey and Chad are the best baristas. They aspire to make every drink quality and top notch. Even the whip cream is art in itself. Compadre coffee is the best. And there is none better

Im a true blooded local here with few other friends of mine. The shop owner has proven to be great friend and wonderful barista. The atmosphere is just great setting for someone who is a student or in need of quiet place to work on a project.

This is the ultimate authentic transit-oriented coffee shop. Not a big box. Not even close. Frequented by those who have abandoned their cars and love the Arts and sustainable communities. A frequent host to great live music.

Music is on tap often. Coffee and desserts are great. They serve sandwiches too, and while theyre very good, theyre alone on the plate - Id love to see some chips or other accompaniment top go with them.

Open and airy, this little coffee shop is right outside of the Link station. On nice days they roll up the garage door walls. I had the oolong iced tea. It was made to order, taking 5 mins but worth it.

Nice little place just down from the Mt Baker Link Station/Mt Baker TC on Rainier Ave. Great Coffee, pastries, etc. Very friendly staff and live music at times. Recommended.

These folks use Seven roast, prices are super reasonable. Very spacious, light and mellow. Great atmosphere to study in. Super close to the Mt. Baker station.
