Its my birthday so I am wandering around doing what I damn well please. Got to QED and got a lovely Mexican mocha. Iced. With a giant chocolate chip cookie. Had a great chat with the pleasant proprietor who was wearing a sweet tshirt with a pit bull photo. Talked about Italian food. West Seattle building boom. Etc. Just what this birthday woman needed. Delish and delightful.

I discovered QED in my West Seattle neighborhood right before they closed their shop here. Thank goodness I caught them because otherwise I would never have tasted their unbelievable coffee! The variety whose name begins with an "I" has multiple flavors, fruity, chocolaty, & je ne sais quoi?. Definitely driving to Mt Baker so I can buy their beans.

The bearded gentleman with a nose piercing that made my drinks was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with my difficult order. The beautiful photography on the walls was of Northwest wilderness. Our coffees were DELICIOUS. Not only was the roast amazing, but it was masterfully assembled.

Delicious espresso, good selection of snacks, and they just started making their own chai. Its incredible. If I lived in this neighborhood, I would be there every day. In fact, Ive noticed quite a few people do just that. Everyone seems to know everyone. Neat spot.

This is a great neighborhood coffee shop. The baristas are always friendly. The coffee is solid, and they have a decent selection of pastries. Theres also a thoughtful selection of non coffee drinks (teas, kombucha, beer, wine).

I love this place! I normally can never study in coffee shops but this place has a great environment! It is a lovely and unique place that also has back rooms where artists host events which is really cool.

Very nice cup of Joe, and the donut was tasty, too. The chap that served me was quite nice. A tad expensive, but a treat for rich people, or poor people like me when my pension comes.

The chai tea latte is quite spicy and leaves a very strong aftertaste. The interior was cute, but pretty small. Other than that a great little cafe in the Rainier neighborhood!
