Since finding this place Ive become addicted. I always order black iced tea. It actually has a discernible flavor, unlike iced tea at most other places. This is also my husbands favorite coffee shop. Hes new to coffee and has found the perfect kind for him here. The staff is great. The place is huge and theres usually at least one place you can park. The only problem is the bathrooms. They stink every time. Its so gross. It doesnt look messy but its always stinky. I also wish they served more food here, like a soup of the day. I always end up here at in opportune times when I become hungry, but I dont like the few types of sandwiches they offer. I havent tried them; I just dont like the ingredients.

The best designer coffee in Seattle. The lattes are smooth, rich and no bitter aftertaste. The mocha has a homemade chocolate sauce made with real cream. Every sip can be cherished. There are also bakery items and sandwiches. The coffee shop is long shape. One half has the music playing but the other half is quiet with a gas fireplace. The shop is filled with natural light with windows the run the entire length of the store front. It is a place to read, study and meet with friends. Parking is primarily 2hrs but sometimes one can find a "no time limit" spot. I have traveled the East and West Coast and cannot find a smoother latte. Again the 5 is for the coffee!

Coffee was pretty good however a little expensive compared to the competition. On a tuesday morning, I was able to find a table with an outlet nearby which was nice, but theres a big problem. One that will make me not come back. The wi-fi here is APPALLINGLY slow. Like getting download speeds of 30 kb/s slow. I was planning on spending some time working here but Im about to pack up and go somewhere else. Its a shame. Dont come here if you actually need to use their wi-fi. Youll be very disappointed like I am.

Coffee shop is packed with local college students and local professionals so it has a great balance between young and old. People that work there are very knowledgeable about coffee and are open with giving you suggestions. It us also really large inside so there is plenty of seating. Would qualify as one of my favorite coffee shops in Seattle. Tip: if you are just reading a book or watching a video on your kindle grab one of the leather seats in the back next to the fireplace.

I went here two times on my short trip. The first time, I purchased a drip coffee with a red eye. This was a mistake--the coffee had been clearly sitting in a thermos pot for a good hour. I came in a second time and decided on a pour-over with a regional coffee (Guatemala Gesha). Indeed it was better but something was still missing. Not sure its worth the $5. The staff here are very nice and there is free wifi, but it didnt justify the cost.

The coffee and food here is largely "meh" compared to the rest of the Seattle coffee options, but the location itself is wonderful. If youre looking for a spacious, run-down wooden coffeeshop atmosphere to whip out a laptop or notebook at, this is the best option around. It does get quote crowded with UW students, though, especially around finals / midterms.

Their stuff is decent, but their music is a little on the loud side, and its a little expensive here. Nice ambiance but the big central table is a little uncomfortable to sit at, since its got something that blocks your legs, and the washroom fan was broken and the trash was overflowing. Also, they need more food

Weds afternoon, place half full. Latte was great tasting, but lukewarm. After jumping thru a bunch of hurdles to log in thru their server, the wireless internet was painfully slow. Dont surf here if you are in a hurry or have to download lots of data....it will take forever.

I usually get cappuccino or drip coffee and I love it! It was a perfect place for me to study during finals. I used to come here more often when I went to UW but I still stop by whenever I go to U-district area. I recommend to any coffee lovers out there!

Coffee is excellent. Drinks can be quite expensive, but at least the taste doesnt disappoint. Nice big cafe. Offers several varieties of decaf coffee beans for sale, more than just your typical dark espresso roast, and recent roast dates to boot.

Awesome coffee shop! I come here to study a lot and you can always get a spot because its really big. One thing I would say, is that my mocha tasted weird. I dont know why or what was up, but it for sure wasnt the best coffee Ive had around.

One of my favorite cafes in Seattle. They have a great staff and serve ethically sourced, nicely roasted coffee. They also have a great selection of teas and pastries, but you have to get there sort of early for the latter.

Ive gone here to get work done on the laptop, as the place is not over-run with noisy mommies and toddlers. Good amount of tables/chairs and electrical outlets. Coffee is not bad. Baristas are super slow, though.

Good, but not fantastic. This is a very popular coffee shop with a lot of laptop warriors and college students. Coffee is decent, but more acidic than I prefer. Uses stampt as their loyalty program.

Delicious espresso, chai, and toddy. Zoka bars are super rich, and enough to feed 2+. The layout is neat--I like that theres plenty of seating, and windows. Pricey though.

The cappuccino was ok but the coffee was weak and stale, and the egg in the sandwiches had the consistency of tofu. Pretty gross, dont understand the 5 star reviews.

The coffee is OK. The space is unique and cool (think spacious with dark wood everything). The service is ok. Overall its not that remarkable, but bad.

Great Seattle coffee shop. Once it gets crowded, then that tends to subtract from the experience, but get there early and youre good.

This is a great coffee shop! Staff was great as was the coffee. I lucked out when I came across it as it would be easy to miss.

Expensive beans and expensive pour overs. $8 for a cup from a Chemex just feels dirty. Nice staff though and comfy sitting areas.

Fast & friendly. Open long hours on Sundays, which can be hard to find outside that big chain coffee place.
