I should have known when I walked in the door and instead of seeing award plaques hanging from the wall I saw plaques noting that they had attended various "bites of this", and "tastes of that". The fast food equivalent of showing me the attendance roster to prove they went to class. Fast food only a car running on biodiesel could love. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. Anyone who says this food is remotely decent has no taste buds. The fries. At least I think they were fries. They might have been the things that happen when fries are being made. Those greasy, blackened bits that drift around in the superheated oil of the fryer. I can still smell the greasy vapor wafting off them. THE FISH. Greeeeasy does it!!! I think I almost chipped a tooth on the batter, it was that tough. I couldnt taste the fish to be quite honest. However, the presence, of oil permeated the fish in a way that i can still feel, though the experience is a few hours removed. THE CHOWDER. Here is something they couldnt possibly screw up. Its chowder after all, right? Wrong. Dull, lumpy, lifeless, thick so thick a spoon literally stood upright without signs of falling over. Think of store-bought clam chowder in a can. Then add a whole lot of corn starch. That about sums up the chowder. Corn starch, mixed with milk and some unidentifiable protein matter. WOULD I RECOMMEND IT? NO. Would I eat there again? Never say never. If famine were to hit and they opened their doors, I might eat there if it was the last option standing between me and death. ON A PLUS NOTE. the soda fountain was pretty good, although overpriced. BOTTOM LINE, good luck getting anyone to eat this stuff. Im sure its appealing to someone, just not sure who. Especially since my teenage son with a bottomless pit of a stomach, starving after a half-day without food, would not eat more than a few bites... We wanted to give a local business a try, but after a valiant attempt we threw in the towel and went to the local chain restaurant up the road..

this is my first time ordering from here. everything on the menu looked good online, finally made up my mind on what to eat and placed my order on there web site. I arrived at the store when it told me the food should be ready starving and ready to eat. when I approached to counter I was told they had not made my order because there web orders were not working. I was not pleased to say the least. the staff did not try to make the situation right. they only thing they where quick to do was charge me full price for my meals and have my wait for over 20 minutes for my food I had already ordered to be ready by the time I got there. what ever happened to the customer being right? I guess that went out with the 90s

BEST SALMON BURGER IN TOWN! Great place, nice calm ambiance, kids friendly... We are here every Saturday afternoon (and we live in Madrona!) ordering the Cajun Salmon burger for my hubby and I and the kids menu for our toddler! Their french fries are UNBELIEVABLE!! How come a fish place have also the best fries in town?? And the best milkshakes ever, this one for me and beer for hubby. All their utensils are biodegradable, they always have soap and clean bathrooms... The owner is always around and cares about the place. We bring all our guest from other cities to this place, is the best salmon burger for a good price. Thank you Ballard Brothers! We are so happy we found you!

Typical, cheap seaside shack food. Except its still $8 for a dry, crumbly burger patty, barely noticeable and tasteless sauce, and a couple slices of pitiful canned pineapple. Sure, the Hawaiian burger may be one of the misses on the menu, but the review I got from the rest of my family was that the only thing worth eating was the bacon blue burger. Seriously? Everything on your menu should be worth eating they are clearly trying to squeeze as many dollars as they can out of more crappy food. TLDR: Dont even bother, you can find better sandwiches at Red Robin.

Stopped because its close, even though we were on our way to Dicks. Wanted to see how the burgers here stacked up. You order at the counter, wait wasnt too long. I got a Cheeseburger and my husband got the 4 piece cod. Is the Cheeseburger worth $8? Absolutely not. It was good, tasty, nothing new or amazing. But good. Not $8 good. Wishing we wouldve just went to Dicks and spent $2.50 on a Deluxe. The cod didnt fair as well. Maybe other kinds of fish are better. Bland, hard breading. We did get 5 pieces however. OK tartar sauce and pretty decent fries.

It was raining all day and we were soaked after Alcatraz. Stepped in to the first place we came across where people looked warm and cozy. The wait was 15 minutes and they were moving people in quick. We chose a few lighter items and they were quite filling. The chowder was flavored well the salad was great with lots of crab meat. My wife enjoyed the heck out of what we would consider the cleanest tasting dungeons crab ever.Four stars cause while I enjoyed it, I might think twice about it for the price vs. portion.

We bought a Groupon and decided to try it out! I have always driven by and wondered how it is? Well we enjoyed it. Very nice and friendly staff, good food that was fresh. We even had Mannys beer! I will say the menu has some items that I think do flow well with the Seafood theme. Milk? Hard alcohol? But I see they are trying to blend Meixan food and Fish n Chips. Usually it is a good idea to stick to one theme and put less items on the menu so you dont overwhelm the customer. *Watch The Prophet for tips.

I always drive past this place and wonder why I have never gone in. They have a huge menu, and everything is cooked from scratch. The benefits of this are just fresh everything, you cant beat it. Great tasting food, lots of drinks to choose from as well. You may have to wait a little as they are usually busy and cooking from scratch can take a bit, but its totally worth it. They have a ton of seating inside, or you can take it to go.

Not all that it was cracked up to be. We tried their blackened salmon sandwich. Tasted okay but nothing special even with their special sauce. It came with some super crispy fries. Pricey and small portions. Service was just okay although they took applied my coupon on a non-burger. Nice little place which I remembered was a Skippers for a long time. Kinda wish it still was.

Not just fried seafood. Fish and chips are great here, but they have an extensive menu of seafood options as well. You can get grilled fish sandwiches and burgers. Theres something on the menu for anyone who likes seafood. Its all cooked to order so its not super fast, but the wait is not too long. Casual and friendly.
