SCAM ARTISTS - READ YOUR CHECK FOR CORRECT $ BEFORE PAYING I came here to get dim sum with my friend. Each item was 3-4 dollars plus a little veggie spinach dish. I was expecting a check for about $28-30. Check comes, $47. I ask the waitress to give me an itemized check. She starts double talking about tips being included, etc. I grab the dim sum menu and calculate how much it is on my phone. Comes out to about $22. Waitress then claims the small veggie dish was $16.95. I look at the menu online, the veggie dish is $7.95, very basic Chinese veggie, nothing special. Oh, also, apparently the tea on the table is $2 per person, never seen that charge in a Chinese restaurant before. I demand they refund my money and give me a check with the actual amount owed. I was really annoyed at this point and the waitress finally did it because I raised a stink. Ill never ever ever go back there. Shame on them for ripping people off. I looked it up on Yelp and I now see these also have health violations, theyre in the bottom 5%. Gross to know since I just ate there 2 hours ago.

Parking can be difficult in this neighborhood. If you park at a meter, dont forget to keep it fed, too. You might find non metered parking off of Clement on the side streets but read the signs for street cleaning and other restrictions. This is where my husband and I bring our family whenever we want to eat Chinese food. Its very reasonable and we like to go on weekdays at lunch time for the special prices. We try to go early for a good table. I always order a plate of fresh greens to go with items other members of the group orders to share. The waitress brings it to the table and cuts the long Chinese broccoli stems into serving size at the table with a scissor. This is a place that is patronized by many Chinese families, where everyone uses chopsticks (except me) and I always have to ask for a fork. The dim sum is always perfect and fresh. Wait persons speak Chinese and English as well and are always gracious. They always seem to notice whenever we have turned the lid of our tea pot upside down signaling that our pot needs a refill.

Needed time machine! I was looking for a place to have dim sum and landed at Golden Gate dim sum which happens they had no chef in the kitchen or at least it made the impression. Waited too long in between servings and afraid of running out of time at the parking meter ended up canceling the eighth order and ran back to my car. Yes, there was an envelope already with my end of year present. If you have plenty of time and dont mind waiting fifteen minutes between servings then this is the place. Dim sum nothing special; well, I was always left waiting for more and still left empty.

I went here to have dim sum with my family. The food was terrible and the service was extremely bad. We will never ever ever come back there. We dont recommend coming to this gross restaurant. After we went, I looked them up on Yelp, and now I see that they have health violations, they are in the bottom 5%. Thats disgusting, considered I just went there. It does not even worth for 1 star.

Good alternative to Hong Kong lounge that is always crowded. The place is close and is a lot cheaper. I normally come for the cheap dim sum. The ordering of dim sum is similar where you get a paper and order what you want. This place doesnt have carts. The food is quick and the service is like other dim sum restaurants. They also have a cool fountain in the back.

I went here a week ago, and the service was horrible. I had to wait a long time for the food, and the waitress ignored me. I looked up the restaurant online, and it said that they violated health codes 8 times this year. I will never come back here again. I dont recommend coming to this restaurant.

Service is horrible here, so if you need anything you have to flag people down. You order items off a sheet, so its easy to get carried away when youre hungry. The dim sum is reasonable priced and the food comes out hot. Dont forget to feed the meters, they do ticket in the area.

Very Hong Kong style cuisine. Employees dont really understand English, so its a bit tough trying to ask what you want. Restaurant is pretty clean and food is pretty good.

South China Dim Sum. During meal time it usually full of people and wait in queue because it is good. Suggest you try Ma Tuan!
