In a small town like Redmond we do have fair amount of places to eat but I wouldnt call most of them as a high end dining experience. Sages definitely was and still is an exception. While there are no enough words to describe the amazing Chef Barts creation, all other Sages team members will do all possible to make you feel home and happy every time you visit. Sages is an Italian Restaurant but for me as someone who moved to US from Israel, their cuisine represents not only Italy but more Italian-midatiranian cuisine to greet every taste you might have. There was no single time when we didnt like or/and enjoy any of the chefs creations. I have to admit we did have some error experience with reservation here for Valentines day but Jerri the owner went beyond anything expected and resolved our "error" the best way possible. Another thing I really like about Sages is the atmosphere, while it feels old school Romantic Europe, this place is perfect for any kind of event from business lunch/diner, Romantic candle light diner or just a diner in a family like atmosphere. There is no real dress code as long as you respect others and it makes Sages more than a perfect fit for any kind of dine out experience you had in mind. Last but certainly not least I have to mention Sandra who weve been luckily assigned too as our host and waiter on several of our visits, If you get lucky to be her guests - take everything she say and recommend and as "must do"! Shell make you always feel welcome and home and her food/wine choices and recommendations are top notch. Im most certain that any of you who choose Sages for their dining experience will feel the same as I do. Thank you.

I have been to this restaurant many times and the food is always good. Ive had wonderful and attentive service by the man who is on the top of their website. He was one of the best servers Ive ever had. Yesterday I had lunch with my girlfriend and the server was more than just rude. She would give us a wrong order, wont say a word when she brings food to the table, and lastly, shed come around VERY OFTEN to see if we had put the payment in the black book while were still eating!!! There were numerous empty tables around us so she had no excuse making us feel rushed out. Whats more disturbing is that her attitude will be 180 degrees different depending on who shes serving. There was an eldery couple next to us, obviously their regulars from the way they were conversing, and shed be extremely friendly to them. Given the price of their food ($12 - 17 for lunch entree), I will not be going back there as long as that server is there.

I cannot fathom why this place has only 3.9 stars. I adore this Italian restaurant. The food is always delicious and the service is always gracious and attentive. Last time we went, our waiter advised us that there was a long wait for the entrées. Knowing the food was just that good, we were fine with waiting and just enjoyed conversation with one another. Unexpectedly, our waiter brought us a caesar salad to share on the house, while we waited. It was a simple and unexpected kindness that most places wouldnt even think to do. My boyfriend is a huge fan of the Gorgonzola Chicken - he gets it every time, and I usually get the wifes favorite, because its now my favorite, but this time I ordered the Copper River Salmon. It was wonderfully cooked and the garlic mashed potatoes were out of this world. A great date-night spot!

Truly a unique and wonderful dining experience. The staff was extremely attentive, the ambiance was quiet; its like eating dinner in a large home dining room, with only about a dozen tables total. The food does take a while to prepare but it is well worth the wait! I had the Gnocchi in pink sauce myself and it was just excellent. I had ordered the chocolate fondue in advance as we were celebrating an anniversary and it was quite decadent; the fruit is served in a hollowed out pineapple and they dont skimp on quantities! Prices are moderate considering the quality of the food and the environment. Highly, highly recommend particularly if you are looking for a unique dining experience in Redmond.

I discovered Sages about two years ago and it has been one of my favorites ever since. The food is always terrific and the service is generally very good (I have gotten slow service when theyve been particularly busy, but even then the service was very courteous). The prices are very reasonable too. I like the fact that the restaurant is quiet enough that you can carry on a conversation. Too many places are so loud that you have to shout to talk the person sitting across from you at dinner.

We had dinner reservations and arrived on time. The waiter took our order right away, but it was over 1 1/2 hours before we got our meal. The restaurant was pretty much empty by the time our meals came, so I have no idea what was going on in the back. No apologies were expressed by the staff. On top of that they forced an 18% gratuity charge (we were a party of six) so I couldnt even expressed my displeasure in the tip. We wont be back.

I wish I could say Ive sampled the entire menu, as Im sure its all amazing, but I find myself ordering the same thing every time I go, lunch or dinner...the Wife’s Favorite dish. Sadly, I also find myself unable to order dessert due to the amazing bread they serve! The atmosphere is amazing, cozy without feeling like you cant have a conversation, though Id be loathe to bring my 5 year old for fear of ruining someone elses dinner.

My husband and I eat regularly at Sages and love everything about it. The service is outstanding, warm and personal. The food is consistently delicious. We love the feeling of being in a welcoming neighborhood restaurant where they remember you, and even remember your favorite wine and what you usually order. "Wifes Favorite" always reels me in, but my husband claims the "Salmon Piccata" is the best item ever.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The owner/chef, Bart is the only & excellent chef therefore the food is consistent. They have a gluten free menu thats delicious. The waiters have been at Sages since the beginning which says a lot about the restaurant. You must try the "shrimp tower", "sages salad" & "wifes favorite " (pasta dish). I guarantee you wont be disappointed.

The first time I visited it was awesome food but service was a bit rude (some of our plates were removed while we were not noticing as they were closing soon). The second time the service was good but all the food had too much salt (I think something went wrong with their salt pepper mixture). I would specifically recommend their mozzarella caprese, was very fresh mozzarella.

Even though we live 20+ miles away, we make the time to come here for dinner when we are craving good Italian food in a quiet, adult setting. The owners are wonderful and greet each guest personally, and our favorite meal is the Sages Homemade Gnocchi
