Being from San Antonio, TX... I was almost worried about trying any Mexican food restaurant in Washington. But this place has a LOT going for it! The margaritas are fantastic, the manager/owner is friendly and funny (I ordered a margarita at 3 pm and said "I know its a little early" and he said "hey, its midnight somewhere!") haha. :) The chimichanga was better than even the ones Ive had in San Antonio, it was very flavorful! (I had beef). The salsa is fresh, the guacamole is fresh and flavorful... my only disappointment was no handmade flour tortillas... but thats sort of a "San Antonio" thing, so I wasnt expecting that. This place honestly exceeded my expectations, it is definitely worth a try. :)

Mr. Jalapenos is by far the best Mexican food around. The owners are super nice and take care of their customers....constantly asking if you would like refills on pop, chips or salsa. Were in there so much, they greet us by our name and tell us to sit where ever we would like. Once youve finished eating or (sometimes even before, at other places) they dont push the bill on you, they allow you to sit, chat and relax. Weve reserved space at the last minute for birthdays and theyve accommodated us. Weve also requested party platters to go and have been beyond excellent in fulfilling our order on time. Would recommend them to everyone. :-)

The food was amazing. But watch your bill. I ordered two burritos worth 22$. And asked for a small side of rice and beans... Because I was in a hurry (yes my fault) I just paid and left after I confirmed the order. Didnt think hard enough realizing I was charged 35$ total.... Ive done the math multiple times... It doesnt add up.

Molcajete! Order this if you want comfort food. Large bowl of tomato based broth with chicken, beef, bacon, mushrooms, avocados, tortilla chips & cheese. Served with usual rice, beans, veggies & tortillas. Service with a smile & food is always delicious, never disappointed with anything on the menu!

Went back after last visit disappointment. Place is better. Salsa is thicker and tastier. Menu is larger with lunch specials. We felt ignored as we watched two tables who had arrived and ordered after we did get their orders before we did.

My family has gone to Mr. Jalapeno so many times I have lost count. The service is great. The staff is always friendly and they seem to always remember our favorites. The food has always been great. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

Favorite Mexican food in the area. My wife and I eat here about once a week. Friendly staff, good portions and decent price. Would recommend to anyone who likes good Mexican food. Oh yeah, excellent salsa and chips.

This is one restaurant that excites me. just thinking about it makes me giggle. Their food is soooooo good. I tend to order a chicken quesadilla hold the chicken and its amaaaaazing. Dont pass this restaurant up!

Excellent food, even better service! On our way right now! Margartitas are delicious! Huge plates of food! I can eat A LOT, but cant ever finish my plate! Clean, vibrant, homelike. Defiantly our go to place!!

Not happy with this place. We went there on a Friday evening and it took forever to get our food, food wasnt good, they brought our drinks out and forgot the alcohol in them. Not pleased.

Honestly there was no flavor, and the beans were watery. The rice was okay, as well as the salsa. I would never go back....it wasnt worth it.
