Similar to Benihana of Tokyo, with some plusses and some minuses. Here they serve a generous amount of vegetables, but they cheapen them by adding potatoes. This makes the meal too high in carbohydrates when one has rice, too. I had to pick out all the potatoes, as I am a diabetic. I would rather have more zucchini and mushrooms. They charge an extra $2.50 for their fried rice, but there isnt any chicken added like others do. We paid the extra, and then watched the chef give part of our fried rice to customers who had not paid for it. The chefs are good and very entertaining!! And their combination meals are priced very reasonably. With a few changes, this restaurant could rival their famous competitor.

Oh, wow! My husband and I came here tonight for our 11 year wedding anniversary and couldnt be more pleased. Between the two of us we tried practically everything; chicken, salmon, lobster, steak, and shrimp. It was all was done to perfection! I was especially pleased with my salmon, which practically melted in my mouth. The grilled veggies were great, as was the fried rice, and of course the show was fun and entertaining. On top of that? The prices are great! Well definitely be returning here, and wont need to visit that expensive chain hibachi place anymore (if you know what I mean). Thrilled to find such a delicious place that is local to support. Thanks for a lovely anniversary dinner experience!

My family and I came at noon on a Sunday, we had Teriyaki chicken, Izumi shrimp, Izumi scallops, and Teriyaki beef. The fried rice was buttery, which Im not used to, but perfectly done. The veggies were a good mix of zucchini, carrots, onions and mushrooms; all of them cooked thoroughly, but not excessively which was surprising. The Izumi sauce (house made soy sauce) had excellent flavor and a lot less salt than Im used to. The teriyaki sauce had excellent flavor, but was perhaps applied too liberally, I would recommend asking them to go easy on it. Really the excessive teriyaki is the only reason I didnt give 5 stars. Well definitely be back.

Wow! So good! Came here for dinner and had a great experience. If you like Benihana then youll love this place. They sit you at a hibachi table where the chef prepares your food right in front of you and does fun little tricks. Very entertaining and enjoyable experience. I couldnt believe how good the food was. I hate mushrooms and yet they cooked them in a sauce that was so good I didnt even care I was I eating them and ate them all. Not a bad dish in the whole meal. We also ordered the "volcano" cocktail drink which is a fun and delicious flaming drink for two. This is a great place and I highly recommend checking it out

Food: 5 stars +++++++ It has been a HASSLE finding decent Hibachi in the northwest for me! And Izumi has knocked it out of the park -- hands down BEST fried rice Ive ever had. I think they put garlic in it or something... My only complaint is that the vents were messed up and the restaurant was very smoky -- everyone at my table was complaining about their eyes being irritated from the smoke/gas. Management said they were getting more vents though, so I hope my next trip is much better!

Excellent food, excellent service, this restaurant is definitely on the up. A wide variety of Asian craft beers and sake compliment well cooked food with entertaining chefs. Slightly less expensive than the other hibachi choice nearby and just as good. Owner is very nice and attentive to his patrons. I hope they stick around.

This was our first trip to Izumi and it will not be our last. We all tried different items and enjoyed our dinners. Our Chef was fantastic and was very entertaining and funny. All food items from the soup to the rice, veggies and noodles prepared in front of us on the grill were outstanding. Great food!!

Fun and inviting. Chef was fun and talkative. Food was so plentiful and flavorful. Steak was excellently cooked and very tender, shrimp had great flavor too. So much food. Chef even liked to "play" with guests. This particular chef tossed shrimp to catch in mouth, was a blast. Go see, eat, enjoy.

Great food, and a great experience. Its a smaller, more intimate style Hibachi table restaurant that really delivers on all fronts. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great food and good size portions. They also have a wonderful selection of Japanese Whiskeys and Beer.

The owner Allen is an awesome guy and knows his beverages. Tell him a little about what you like and he right on it. The food is great. Better than Benihana I think. Plus you can buy beer and wine to go and a discounted price. Highly recommend this place
