Ordered full stack of pancakes with "real maple syrup. Only menu online showed price as $4.50 plus $1.50 for syrup. When I went in and ordered, the total came to $9.47 with tax! I was told they "needed to adjust their prices for the increase in minimum wage." Pancakes came out in a paperboard box and I left. When I got to the park and opened the box, I saw only 2 pancakes. Frustrated and feeling they screwed up, I went back and asked how many pancakes they serve in a full stack. The guy working there said, "Oh, you wanted a full stack!?" I then asked, "You charge $9 for 2 pancakes with maples syrup!!??" He asked to see the menu I found and said, "Yeah, that menu is about 3 or 4 years old... Current price is $8.75 for a full stack plus $1.95 for maple syrup (about 2 ounces). So in the end, I paid $9.47 for 2 pancakes and not enough syrup. VERY irritated, I left again. When I finally got to where I could eat them...I was horribly shocked at the overwhelming taste of salt in the first bite! I tried another bite thinking maybe they hadnt mixed the batter well enough. Same taste in varying levels of horrible. I kept eating feeling like I couldnt just throw $10 in the garbage, and ultimately had a very sick stomach after about 3/4 of the serving and had to stop. They also were rather rubbery. I have never been so disappointed in pancakes in my life. Seems like a pretty simple item to make, but they found a way to make this an all around huge mistake. I will NEVER go back and would NEVER recommend anyone go there either. What a waste of time and money!

Good food, efficient but not always polite service, dirty facility. I was very skeptical when we arrived and a server simply nodded in the direction of an empty table, and then proceeded to ignore us for five minutes. I also needed to use the restroom, and it appeared at first that there was no restroom for customers. However, once they decided to serve us, the service was good, though not terribly friendly. The food was excellent, and the reason for the abrupt service quickly became apparent; this is a popular, yet understaffed restaurant. The small size would make adding staff difficult, as the two servers barely had room to get around between the tables. There is a bathroom in the back, but you literally have to walk through the kitchen, where at least you can observe that they do appear to follow good food safety procedures, although it is a rather disorganized and cluttered kitchen. Although creative, nothing on the menu jumped out at me, and a lot of it simply sounded weird rather than interesting. Fortunately, they had a build-your-own omelet option, and it was delicious. This place embodies everything I dont like about Olympia, right down to the homeless people out front who turn out not to be homeless at all, but rather just waiting for the next available table, and the obligatory "Black Lives Matter" sign in the window (as if anyone who would go to a place like this would disagree). Bottom line: I will come back and probably enjoy it more the second time now that my expectations have been appropriately lowered.

This is precisely what its name states, it is a cooperative. What does that mean? It means that it is owned by the workers, and for that, you get the epitome of local. The food options are what you would expect from a quaint, spot that is known for breakfast and lunch. They offer organic ingredients, vegetarian and vegan options. They do not have a large space, so it can be common to have to wait to be seated when it is full. Their open hours are shorter than a corporate chakn, but what you sacrifice in convenience you get in good quality food! I am of the plant based diet bunch, so my experience here is strictly Vegan, but dont fret, they have delicious, organic, local options, for omnivores and herbivores alike. There is a wheelchair accessible restroom. (for manual chairs) this is an LGBTQ friendly, Disability Friendly, and an all inclusive, hate free establishment! A favourite for the locals! This is one of my personal spots for a good breakfast.

Im back in olympia to visit a friend. I was excited to eat at New Moon Cafe- i remember when it first opened and how good it was. I walked in and the person at the counter looked at me like i didnt belong there (i did have a camping backpack on - im traveling.) She told me -" im sorry there is a wait list you would be third." and then ignored me. I waited for a minute to get on that list. She looked back up at me and i said "so it is a real wait list?" i was waiting for her to take my name so i could go stand outside. This is standard practice, right? she said "yes, its a REAL LIST. why? do you want to be on it?" i said "yes." and waited, standing in front of the counter. She looks at me and says "that is a horrible place for you to stand, you need to get out of the way." so i walked out of the New Moon Cafe and i will not be returning.

Service: Really slow/bad sevice. We were ignored by our first server for like 10-15 min (blonde guy). So i flagged down the other server who apologized and was really nice. Our food was a little slow too, but if they would have taken our order earlier we probably wouldnt have noticed. We didnt get a check in how food was or refill of drinks. I had to flag down the blonde waiter to pay otherwise Im sure we would have waited another 15 min to pay. Food: I do need to say that my Eggs Benedict was great and hash browns were crispy and delicious. My bf had the blackberry french toast and didnt think they were anything special. Bring a coat as it was chilly inside. Probably wouldnt go back.

We actually swung by here on returning from a camping trip. Despite the descriptions which led me to believe Id be eating all natural super-health-food type stuff, I was happy to have gotten a great and hardy breakfast. We stopped by for the reviews, being generally unfamiliar with Olympias restaurant scene, and we were not disappointed. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. There were four of us, so we ordered a variety of breakfast foods. All turned out delicious. I had the grilled cheese and it was amazing. I would recommend New Moon to anybody and I look forward to stopping by again.

Rosemary thyme potatoes were amazing. Service was acceptable. Failed to notice ANY art on ANY walls with the exception of a couple t-shirts hung above the register for sale. Biscuits & gravy was above average (great home made Biscuits!) Overall.. WILL Absolutely return. Shout out to "Kat" quite friendly, welcoming and kept my cup HOT and filled without my summoning. ;) ☆☆☆☆☆ Stumbled across this Cooperative Cafe by a recommendation from an OfferUp customer of mine; "THANKS Great Suggestion!! Hole in the wall Treasure of Olympia!"

Food tastes great, however there was a wait time of about 15 minutes to get inside. After that they gave our order to someone else, which ended up in a total of one hour of waiting before breakfast was served. Sadly, I believe it was one of those days and I happened to be the one to pay the price, there was hair in my food upon giving it to me but I didnt want to wait any longer. They gave us a discount but nothing that would change my rating of this visit.
