I went thereduring my lunch hours. I called ahead for a burrito to go. I had heard the food was good so i wanted to give it a try. I get there and this stupid lady named carmen saw that i came in and continued doing what she was doing the place was virtually empty except for one family who was already on their way out. No other customers. That lady carmen kept fiddling with the register and ignored me. I stood there like an idiot waiting for her to help me. After a long while she finlly turns to go get my food that was just sitting on the counter the whole time and she pushed past me. There was a whole freaking large space for you to pass, why did you have to push by the one space i was standing on?? Anyway she just coldly gave me rhe amount and i handed over my card and she goes on the swipe. Gives me my recipt and i go on my way. I have heard so many ppl complain about carmen. Someone need to retrain her on customer service. She should be anywhere near customers. Ps. I tasted tge burrito. Wasnt even that good. Salty green sauce with no other flavor smothering a gynormous burrito. Do urself a favor and just go to don pedro. At least the treat customers well.

The visit started a little rough because we came in at the end of dinner rush but there were four large groups of here taking up all the tables. However it wasnt long before the manager saw that we were starting and tended to her needs. What followed was a deep fried chili Riano special and amazing authentic food which we thoroughly enjoyed. We have been here and weve been to the downtown Hillsboro location and we like them both very much! I dont know what stop us from from coming out of here before but glad we wanted to try it tonight !!! Delish!!!!!!!!

Seated quickly, but wasnt able to order until 2 later occupied tables had. No chips and salsa, tortillas and salsa...a bit odd. When we ate the first two tortillas we had asked for more - didnt realize wed be charged for those. Ordered the pork tamales which were decent, but we were there for lunch yet was charged the dinner price. Had to wait for some time to get the check, even though our table had been cleared at least five minutes earlier. Food and Decor decent, but service needs work.

Mexican fine dining. There are 4 levels of Mexican restaurant: 1. Taco Bell; 2. Taco Truck; 3. Taqueria; 4. Nice Mexican Restaurant. This is the last one. The food is prepared well. The wait staff is friendly and professional. The prices are $12-15 a plate. It was better than most Mexican restaurants in the area, but not enough that I want to drive the extra distance. This is a 9 out of 10 at 20 minutes away and Ive got a 7 out of 10 within 5 minutes of my house.

This place is awesome! Tucked away in a sort of commercial strip mall, but dont let that discourage you. Go find this semi-hidden gem. Food was fantastic. The choriqueso appetizer was a great way to begin the meal. For the entree, I went with the Enchiladas Rojas and they were equally fantastic. Having lived in Texas for 10 years, Ive eaten a lot of Mexican food and too often I am disappointed. ...but Amelias gets it right! Cannot wait to go back.

I love Amelias! Hidden gem right next to Intel and a perfect get away for employees. Ive had many of their dishes, both lunch and dinner portions, and have never been disappointed. When they opened, the staff was still learning how to get people seated and served quickly, but theyve come a long way since then! Just dont expect to be in a rush to get out the door. : )

Friday evening visit with the family was a disaster! We were led to a dirty table with food droppings on chairs, and paper towels on the ground. Service was excruciatingly slow. The plates were dirty, and had to be sent back. We had to ask for water and silverware repeatedly. Food was just about OK, but by the time it arrived, our experience had been soured.

Terrible service the food took 35 minutes, they got all three of our meals wrong, and had to wait an additional 5, they still messed up my fathers food. So frustrated we ate the food anyway; which was ok at best. Then I asked for compensation on the 40.00 meal, they gave us 15% off.. Definitely Not going back.

Who knew there were so many sub cuisines in Mexico. Makes sense though and just thinking of Amelias makes my mouth water! Super service from super staff. If you leave Amelias hungry, you didnt"t finish your meal. My son and daughter in law get 2 meals each from one of Amelias mole burritos! Go, enjoy.

As far as authentic Mexican restaurants go this one is pretty awesome. The only thing I wasnt a fan of was that my father and I waited for 10mins before the hostess even looked up to seat us. The food was wonderful and facility very clean and well decorated. And one seated the staff was great!

Tasty and filling. Discount for Intel folks is available. I find the corn tortillas and salsa odd, compared to the standard chips and salsa option, but perhaps it is a cultural thing. The mole is tasty and highly recommended. Even their beans and rice are worth finishing.

This is a gem hidden in a business park. The food is superb. Primarily Mexican with some pre-columbian offerings as well. Its always the little hideaways that are the best and thus one is no exception. Go there and see for yourself. Youll become a regular if you do.

Really great food! The green chili tamales were lovely and the beans were clearly not canned re-fries. Oh, and the hand made corn tortillas are the perfect combination of firmness and tenderness with a robust corn flavor. Take the time to visit this restaurant!!

I wouldnt write home about this place. The food was so-so, and a little pricey. The refried beans were like soup. The tomato sauce was out of a can, tasted like Chef Boyardee. There are alot better places in Hillsboro if you want GOOD mexican food.

Basic Mexican food, bland and dry chicken in the taquitos. Spanish rice was boring. The green sauce was the star of the plate, and a side sauce should never be the star. Recommended by friends as "the spot", but well be looking elsewhere.

Clean place, very traditional environment and VERY TRADITIONAL FOOD. Worth the wait to have home made style food. It brought me back to my childhood when I would have the best food cooked by my grandma. I truly recommend it!

Decent food and they handle large parties well. They are across from Intel, so expect them to be busy at lunch. I have not done so myself, but I have heard of others ordering pre-made dinners to take home for the family.

A great local Mexican restaurant. I would highly suggest it to anyone who likes Mexican food. Be warned the dishes labeled as spicy are extremely hot, if you dont like spicy food be sure to ask for a mild version.

Clean, beautiful place, servers are friendly and attentive, food is delicious. After a bad experience to a different restaurant Amelias gave us choriqueso and flan to lighten up our day. Definitely coming back!
