This is a pretty bad experience, mostly due to the service staff being a combination of being short staffed (one server on a friday night) and untrained. I heard our server say "I have no idea" 3 or 4 times when asked questions from tables. They give you a huge variety of food and sides, but could benefit from some type of instruction on what to do with it all. The owner did pop by and we asked her for some direction, and she was happy to tell us what and how to assemble the items into the traditional Korean wraps, but I dont know how it wouldve gone if we didnt see her. "Is this oil to cook with? This is a big basket of wet lettuce, soooo..." after our sides and platter of uncooked food arrived we sat and looked at it for 5 minutes until or server came back and asked how it was going, then realized that the cook top was never turned on. I would say the novelty outweighs the execution here, and maybe a little laminated table topper with basic protocol on what to do would be beneficial, as well as a more adequate staff.

This awesome restaurant saved the day! After having visited the two competing Korean restaurants I know of in the area for my BDAY lunch, I was disappointed that one didnt have any of the 4 items we attempted to order, and the other had only about 5 Korean items on their menu. Thats when we ran into #1 Korean BBQ and hit the jackpot! All of the food was authentic, great menu with endless options, fair prices, the service from the owners was incredible, and overall we had an incredible experience! Totally worth the other two Korean spots striking out! Will definitely return when in town!

Been coming here for 4+ years, last night was our last. Occasionally we bring 2 people who eat All U cant eat.. Its never been an issue for just 2 to eat AYCE BBQ while rest have our own meals. Now told ALL of us have to do all u can eat by owners son. The owner mother and father were always very nice and friendly, she even showed the 2 people multiple times proper way of eating BBQ. Unfortunately shes not there in Eves and Son is running the place i guess. Youve lost a long time regular customer...

Love coming here, very authentic and a wide variety of dishes plus the usual spread of sides. Make sure you get reservations for a table with a grill or you miss out on the Korean BBQ experience (this has happened two of three times Ive dined here). The atmosphere isnt great but for a location in a strip mall it does pretty well. The staff is really sweet and they try very hard to make sure everyones satisfied. Good place to bring a group of six or so.

Used the restroom same time as the chef did and he did not wash his hands and so I was left to use the handle that he just grabbed to open the door where the chef did not wash. I walked out he was mixing the noodles. The waitress said he has another sick in the kitchen. So maybe he did or didnt. But should have at least washed them before touching other knobs. Waitress didnt seem to even get it. Left before we even ordered the food.

Not even a 1. Horrible survive. Bad food. It $2.00 for drinks. And most of there soda is a bottle. The onions were not peeled. Their was little bones in some of the food. The meet was not cut all the way and they dont give you a knife. They are not baby friendly, as in they dont have a changing table. We were there for over an hour and a half most of it just waiting. We almost left with out paying. Never going back again.

Yum the food is great here. Lots of sides, all were good, especially the pancake and cucumber kimchi. She went out of her way to make us sweet coffee which wasnt on the menu, just to accommodate what we wanted. Sweet funny lady helped us, she was great. We really enjoyed the lunch and will be back for sure. The spicy pork is outstanding!

Since my mom lives in California, this is how I get my Korean food fix! The food is great! Since this business is family owned and operated, they take pride in what they serve and are very friendly. Sometimes if it gets a little busy, service can be a little slow, but its worth the wait! You wont be disappointed!!

For was delicious and our waitress was great. A little pricy but well worth it. Only reason Im not giving it 5 stars is because at one point the manager came in and greeted all the Asian people in their language and ignored my friends and I because were white, it was rude and slightly uncomfortable for a moment.

Been here many times. Each time I go I have a wonderful experience. The food is great! You have the option to cook the meat yourself just like you could in a lot of restaurants in South Korea. And dont forget the vast assortment of sides to go with you BBQ! This is by far my favorite place to go and eat!

To be honest I was a little leery because I tend to avoid weird food. I have to say that this was a real surprise and a definite treat! The food was great! There were tons of little appetizers and so much food that you could easily share a meal. The drinks were also amazing! A rare little gem!

i just came back from a deployment to south korea and was trying to find good, authentic korean food. #1 Korean BBQ is as real as it gets. I had the beef bibimbap (bulgogi dapbab) and it was fantastic. I will be telling my friends about this place.

Its just okay and a bit overpriced for what you get. The lunch specials might be better, but I do not recommend the Korean BBQ during lunch. $21 or $29 for all you can eat is twice as much as other Korean BBQ restaurants in the Tacoma/Olympia area.

The best Korean BBQ this side of the pacific! Good service, very tasty side dishes. My least favorite thing is the cubed radish kimchii. For everything else, you cant go wrong. James is a great bartender as well. Order the wasabi bloody mary!

This small, family-owned restaurant serves some good food. My wife and I make it a point to come and eat here at least once a month- try the spicy pork bulgogi, you wont regret it. Unless, of course, you are a terrible human being.

I love this place!! Wear a coat, though. The vents can be a bit drafty when its cold outside. But the food is awesome and authentic. Though, I never had jalapenos with my kalbi in Korea. It was still as close as I have had here. =)

My husband and I LOVE this place. when we first tried this place, we were confused to what goes with what because its just placed in front of you as if you should already know what to do with it, but eventually we figured it out.
