Im really bummed. I wanted to like this place as I have heard good things about it, but the brisket was awful. There was no pink smoke ring of any kind and no smoke flavor at all. It was wet, soggy and crumbly. The meat looked and tasted like it was boiled or steamed. This is not what brisket should be like. It was like roast beef from the deli. I drenched it in BBQ sauce so that I was able to eat it. The meat should have good flavor without having to drench it in BBQ sauce to be able to eat it. Honestly, I feel like I want my money back because the brisket was so bad. I felt like it wasnt even from a BBQ place. I want to give this place a fair shot so I will try the ribs next time I go because from the pictures of the reviews on the ribs, they appeared to have a pink smoke ring. If I go next time and the ribs arent smoked, I wont be going back. Its not enough to just like the sides from a BBQ place. The baked beans were yummy and had pulled pork in them. The macaroni salad was just ok, not as flavorful. The corn bread was good. I liked that they included a good amount of sides to go with their meat options. The BBQ sauces that they have are also really good.

Got some BBQ at slicks after hearing the commercials all the time (that damn jingle is ingrained in my head forever now). My wife is from Texas so therefore has an in depth understanding of BBQ and is very critical. I am much more open to most BBQ as long as its not nasty (i.e. Busters). We both got the combo sampler plate that has a little bit of everything. My wife was mildly impressed just because a lot of BBQ in this area is sub par at best. However she did like the chicken and brisket and the sides and corn bread were at least decent. She said she would eat here again and for her thats a pretty good endorsement. Not a five star endorsement, but at least its a positive one. As for me I was really happy with everything. I am just happy to get BBQ whenever I can and not having a base taste for it being from CA it all tastes pretty good to me. I didnt really like the chicken, but everything else was pretty yummy. I would recommend this place. It honestly isnt anything spectacular or wonderful, but its nice serviceable food place that you can go to and eat there or pick up and youll be happy with what you get.

Glad this little gem moved to Wilsonville. The smallish dining area and open view into the kitchen allows the tantalizing aroma of barbecue to greet people as they first walk inside. If that initial wave of smokey goodness doesnt hook you, the people behind the counter are just as warm and welcoming. Im hard pressed to think of a time Ive received faster service either. A slight caution: the whiskey BBQ sauce is somewhat addictive. The brisket is tasty and the BBQ beans are excellent in that solid, home-style, comfort-food way. My sisters mini combo platter made me a touch jealous; she said the ribs were her favorite. I appreciate the no frills, simplicity of the venue and am already plotting what get-together I might order the beef tri-tip for as its only available on their catering menu.

I cant see how people like this stuff. The baked beans taste like canned chili and the pulled pork like something youd get from a gas station mini-mart. I also tried the smoked turkey and got a plate full of gristle and meat so dry even dunking it in sauce wouldnt help. Ive tried two different times to like this placed based on other reviews but they just dont do good BBQ. The staff are great and the cornbread is on point but the meat and sauces are just mediocre.

Service was friendly but the brisket was very bland. It did not have any smokey flavor at all and there was no traditional burnt edges. Sides were ok, but the meat desperately needed flavor. A sign of a good bbq place is the meat has enough flavor to be eaten by itself with no sauce. This may be good by Oregon standards, but not by Texas or the South.

Some of the best BBQ Ive ever had. The portions are generous and they have a great variety of menu options. The owners and thier staff are so nice and really fit the part for this restaurant. The decor is unique and has a lot of cool memorabilia and pictures mostly centered on country music. A great lunch spot!

Best BBQ in town Great BBQ chicken, moist, smoky skin, and succulent flavor Wonderful brisket chili beans The cornbread is good, moist and sweet The staff and service are wonderful The place is getting popular and busy and parking is tight, so call ahead and order to go, if thats a issue

I got the pulled pork sandwich. It was really delicious! Perfectly juicy and their barbeque sauce was excellent. Great portion for the price! Customer Service was also top notch. Very friendly staff, quick service, warm environment. We will be coming back regularly

So incredibly good! Really great bbq for a really great price. Honey butter corn bread is delicious. Fall off the bone, melt in your mouth ribs with three different tasty bbq sauce choices. We like to stop by whenever we travel from Salem to Portland.

I love this place owners are the best and friendly some days when they are slow they will sit with you and have a conversation. The only sad part is.... I work next door so the smell of the grill and food makes me hungry. TY guys u da best!

OMG... This place is amazing! The whiskey sauce was definitely my favorite, but everything is jam packed full of flavor. The owner and his wife are super friendly... Would definitely come back when were in the area!

Very disappointing. The brisket was not fresh and tasted awful. The coleslaw and beans were way over seasoned with chili powder. My family threw it all out. Wish I could have said it was delicious.

I dont know how people dont like it. Its extremely delicious. Had their stuffed sweet potato yesterday with chicken and I fell in love. And my entire family loved their meals ! Recommend it highly
