Tried to try their BBQ and shabu shabu, but was told that a minimum of two orders of BBQ or shabu shabu (not in combination... we tried) or a group of 4 people or more was needed. There were 3 of us and we tried to order shabu shabu and BBQ + appetizers for a total of about $60. Still not enough to order what we wanted (seriously, they told us we couldnt make the order because there were minimum requirements). Shame, looked like a nice place, but they didnt want to accept our order. I know this can be semi-comon with Korean BBQ, but I have been to Korean BBQ with no minimum purchase rules before... obviously its doable. Bottom line: Way overpriced + poor customer service. Will not be returning... *On a side note: After not being able to place our order at DJK, we promptly left and found Du Kuh Bee only a few blocks away. The food was amazing and the pricing good. Most importantly, we were able to order what we wanted off the menu!

Ive been there 3 times and each time it wasnt good. I dont like writing bad reviews and I feel bad for writing one. There were a couple things that were bad for me. 1. The Price. My mom ordered kalbi. She got two pieces and the price was in the 20s. absolutely ridiculous. On top of that the flavo wasnt there and the cut wasnt great. 2. The Soup. Ive eaten korean food my whole life and one thing that I cannot stand is luke warm soup, stews (gooks, jjigaes and tangs). All soups that my parties got were always served between warm and hot. 3.) The banchan - meager, not flavored well, poorly made. I was surprised to find out this was a chain from LA. I went to the LA branch and the food was exactly the same. For a restauran that is named after a big Korean Culinary Historical Figure this fails to impress at all.

Hardly go out to eat. Monday night I decided to treat my BF to dinner everything was great from getting a table as soon as we got in til we were done eating. When it came to pay the bill I put the amount I was charged plus the tip I made sure to tell the waiter to keep the rest of money it was her tip..we get up to leave as we are headed to the door I was telling my BF how this was a nice experience, awesome out of my comfort zone THEN it happens one older lady stops me and says NO TIP??? I told her no I tiped you guys shes kept arguing with me that I didnt so I gave her extra $3 dollars but I was so upset I told her I tip you and is not mandatory for me to do it and I would write a review about this horrible experience.

The best Korean BBQ Ive ever had. My group of Korean friends felt right at home and said the flavors were on par with Korea and extremely authentic. Theres a bit of a cultural difference, and I think its taken as poor service by people who arent used to it. They constantly bring food to your table throughout the night. The waitstaff is super sweet (especially if you can toss a couple of Korean expressions out to them, so its worth learning some). Personally, I dont think you should go to one of these places unless you sit at the grill table. Its a fantastic experience, and its impossible to leave hungry.

We visit it for the first time last weekend but it was so busy that the hostess ignored us for 15 mins. We want the BBQ so we had to wait another 15 mins, by the time we got a table, we were starving. I want to try one BBQ dish + another but the waitress said we need to order at least 2 BBQ dishes to stay at the BBQ table.. so we were force to order another dish. Food is very expensive. $20 plate for 2 pieces of ribs. Wont go back again.

If you get there early, the service is okay. Around 6PM Korean customers start coming in. As more Koreans are eating there, the service drops to zero. You can also feel the hate coming from the staff, that seems to increase as the number of Koreans in the place increases. The food is fantastic. One of the best Korean BBQs around. But I recommend one of the other Korean BBQs nearby where it is less expensive and friendly.

How Awesome was this place?!? VERY! So much food. We had the combo dinner which easily fed our two families. Good thing we made a reservation though as it was busy! We know why ~ the food is that good! (Short ribs - yum!) The only reason its a 4-star and not a 5? We did have to wait quite a long time for the food to come out even before we were able to start cooking it up. But still, well worth the wait!

Outstanding Korean food. Absolutely great service that adds to the atmosphere and quality of the food. If you love Asian / Korean food, this place gives you a great experience. The price is not too much when considering what youre getting in service. Its a great place for a group. I suggest ordering "family style" and share everything.

Great place that I stumbled across while driving down canyon road. I stopped in for lunch and tried their spicy pork. It was very nicely seasoned and had a nice bite to it. It was served with the traditional pickled vegetables as well as rice and soup. Wonderful lunch served fast with great service. I will definitely be back.

Will definitely go back. We went there for fathers day with another family. It was PACKED!!! The service was very friendly despite the stress of being over burdened. The quality of meats was superior where they were all tender with little fat. The portions of the raw meat were large. Both families had for to take home.

The food here is great! Delicious and filling, and everything someone could want from Korean food. However, the service isnt that good, we spent 10 to 15 minutes trying to get them to take our order, and they would take forever to bring us more water, etc. I would say go here for the food, but expect to wait.

Super fun place to take friends. A larger beer selection would be nice, the eastern beers like the punch im accustom to having. But cooking drinking and laughs are always enjoyable. The staff is very business focused so dont expect much hand holding but its worth the experience!

Decent food employees are really nice but then the manager wasn’t asking for a tip as if it’s was required, like 72 dollars for the bill isn’t enough she has the audacity to ask for a tip like come on you have all this cash and you still asking for a bit more smh

Great place to enjoy experience Q-ing up bulgogi and kalbi..love all the side dishes that come with the KBBQ. Great for groups of 4 or more to split the cost since each dish is above $20 (with good portions to feed the group). Be sure to go there hungry!
